@mattoverall21 Yes absolutely. I had a procharger on the car before this and the Eaton set up was much more enjoyable to drive. Instant power no matter what RPM and zero belt issues.
@Backyardboss@Backyardboss Actually with the eaton I was able to remove the under belly of the shaker and make my own pan to hold the top of the shaker and the skirt together, then add brackets to mount it to the eaton so it had the stock Mach 1 appearance. Obviously it wasn't functional but I did cut holes holes in the bottom of that pan to allow air to push over the top of the eaton.
@mattoverall21 Since you can't buy a "kit" the price varies anywhere from $2-3k depending what kind of deals you can find. It is pretty involved as the list of parts needed is pretty involved.
yea i extended IAT and i blocked egr off to. how did u do ur vac lines. did u use the cobra vac lines or the mach one vac? i no my s/c belt isnt slipping. or unless my boost gaue is inacurate. i hav a iequus boost gauges from orileys.n my lines from n to the gaue isnt leaking. did u hav to move ur knock senors?
It's based on the cobra since the mach didn't have the supercharger or boost bypass and one of the ports on the bypass has to be hooked up. The knock sensors you have to remove completely.
yeah man same here on my 01 cobra. its a headache bro it was more work than what i thought. but hey almost done just waiting on a new intercooler and pump. so u rinning 8lbs of boost?
hmm u sure it dont hav diff cams? hmm urs is stick shift right? mine it a auto mach one. so i couldnt use the cobra harness. i used my factory harness and th only thing i couldnt hook up was my map senor caus mach 1 did hav 1 on the old intake and vaccum bypass thing. but thats always open.
Same here stock harness. I rewired the IAT sensor to the IAT2 sensor and extended a few other plugs that didn't reach. The egr/map sensor i ditched along with the egr. As for the bypass one of the two ports does need a connection to either vacuum or pressure side. I can't look at mine as it's torn down for a built shortblock and whipple.
03/04 Mach 1 cams are the same cams as the 03/04 Cobra no reason to swap cams. Sounds like you have another problem. Mine with the stock pulley gets 8.5 psi.
I think there is a company out there making kits that allow you to use an Eaton on a 2v but to do the same swap I did you have to have a 4v engine so you would have to swap out heads as well.
The front portion that hangs down will hit the pulley, it could be cut to clear or raised up pretty high. I'm removing the bottom half and making a new "pan" to support the rubber piece and making new brackets to hold it in place on the Eaton. Basically it will just push air down onto the blower instead of the airbox.
Should be around 8lbs but haven't gone WOT with it as there is nothing more than a base Cobra tune with timing pulled in it right now. Yes stock internals until the shortblock I'm building is done.
The eaton isn't on the car any more.

Because a whipple doesn't just bolt up to a Mach 1 you have to convert it to the 03/04 Cobra set up first then go to the whipple which I did.

@Blueoval46 hey did u need cobra cylinder heads when u did the swap?

why not whipple or kenne bell? it would rape with a kenne bell.

Is it worth the money?

@Blueoval46 I don't see the shaker on this anymore, it's pretty much not able to go on after you put the S/C on, right?

On that set up I saw up to 9lbs of boost. However since then I've built the engine and put a 3.4 whipple on it. Still working on the tune.

trininavin 2 years ago
Yes 100% Yes it made 411RWHP on a mustang dyno w/15* of timing and 437RWHP w/17* of timing. It's a stick.

did u do cam swap to? cause i didnt and i only hav 3 psi.

think it would be much trouble to do the same type of eaton swap on an 03gt?
