I kinda wish people would stop comparing this band to girugamesh, like yeah there's similarities, but they are two separate bands, and there are differences, I personally get really pissed off when people compare my music to someone else, and when it comes down to it, you can compare all J rock to eachother, I just think it's stupid is all, enjoy the music don't criticize or focus on how ___ sounds like ___. they're different bands, they should be refered to as so.
But people compare sth to sth they already know so it's easier to catergorize for them. If you don't know the colour "violet", you'll probably try to explain it by comparing it to other colours, refering to their attributes and their difference to "violet". So I don't think it's a bad thing, though.
Sayin' that sth reminds someone of sth else doesn't mean there's no "own character" in one of those both. And it doesn't mean there's no individuality either :)
@AoiShiroyama this I can agree with, but 90% of the time it's more like "Thomas is a rip off of girugamesh" or "Girugamesh clearly has a huge part on their sound!" like, maybe not :/
But, even IF they're influenced by Girugamesh (or any other band), I(personally) wouldn't count this as negative for the band, actually. A band might be influenced and do "their own stuff" anyway, using a "similar" style but givin' their own mind and soul into that so it's sth completely new. But, yes - maybe some other ppl might be kinda "narrow-minded" in this issue. But maybe that's one of the "VK-issues"; like superficiality, too..-_-?

Let me say I definitely see your point!

I swear Girugameshu are a big influence on them.
Target reminds of Gamble by Girugameshu & now this reminds me of Vermillion, just like the person below said.
Well, Girugmashu ARE amazing & they've influenced me to so I'm more than happy with Thomas. ^____^ Their sound is also unique.
