How do you get the psone screen to work on the 14.8v battery? What do use to step down the voltage? Also, could I power both the screen and GameCube with the power brick somehow? Is it safe to hook up voltage regulators directly to the DC output of a power supply like that?

Did you have to relocate the disc drive? If so, how did you do it. I was also wondering if you got rid of the regulator board

@TheGreaterGoat I used a rev c so no regulator board. I extended the disc drive cables to re-locate it. Check the Made-By-Bacteria site for a guide on how to do that.

Question. A portable DVD player is equpied with a screen, which is hooked up to a rechargeable battery pack. With a little bit of electronics work, couldn't I just swap out the dvd reader with the gamecube disc reading piece, hook it to everything else, add buttons/ controlls and be done?

Have you thought about modifying one to use a data procedure for games? Something like an integrated storage unit and the use of ISO files thus making the need for a disc drive unnecessary? I have no experience with hardware modding so I could be sounding completely nonsensical, but it kind of makes sense in some way... at least for convenience, whether or not it's possible I have no idea.

@k5uphz There is no easy way to make one of these. Spend some time on the BenHeck Forums and Modretro Forums to learn the skills you will need to build this. It will most likely cost close to $250 for the parts, depending on what you use. It will take months of work to complete, most likely 90 hours in total. Also, prepare for frustration as you accidentally brake things while soldering. I'm building one right now; it may be hard, but I can't wait until it's done.
