  • i am going on this and on the website it doesnt show you all of this detail so thanks!!

  • I love this video! I took the Ghan coach class in 1988 on an Aussie Rail Pass. I've never seen a Murphy toilet before, or other accoutrements but I love the commentary. At first I thought it was being done by an attendant. Hope you got to see some boomers and brumbies!

  • Great way to get a feel for The Ghan. I did the journey in the opposite direction 2 months ago. Am attaching my take on the journey.

  • exciting stuff

  • I;m guessing that the towel in the shower is not the biggest in the world ! Not sure i could even dry my "privates" with that !

  • You need to use the loo...to do a poo!

    AHAHA!

  • Hey this looks like an AMTRAK sleeper!

  • Don't a big turd get stuck in that little toilet? :-\

  • Hmmm.... try driving it.

    It's fun... the first time...

The ability to say, drive to Darwin, then put your car on the train and relax on your way back, is invaluable!

  • right

  • @arachn1dinshoe I took the Ghan in 1988 when it went Adelaide to Alice. Does it go to Darwin now?

  • Nice tour round the cabin of the Gold Kangaroo Class.

  • His and hers, or hers and hers or his and his closet! Oh how times have changed...LOVE IT!!! I heard there is even a piano bar on that train. is that true? Man, that would be so cool to sip some wine, listening to someone on the piano and watching that amazing landscape!

  • Yeah man. That's great. Times have changed so much and for so much better.

  • Nice video. Brings back memories of when i went from Adelaide to Darwin.
