  • As the first guy said that is how they spawn. I have gouramis as well. The male will wrap himself around the female and squeeze the eggs out of her. He didn't seem to have a good grip or position on her in your video cause I didn't see eggs either. Hope you got alot of babies out of that pair..

  • This is quite normal behaviour for this species. The embrace was held for a long time and the male seemed slow at unfolding once the female was released. It seems as if no eggs were produced this time - should have been visible floating upwards even on this low-res video. Also male normally actively collects eggs from region of the embrace and deposits them in the bubble nest but that did not happen here. But they may have another attempt a few minutes later, so don't worry!
