  • Thanks for the great lecture. Honestly you are a better teacher than my professor.

  • One of the better lectures I've seen. I've always considered video-lectures last resort if I didn't understand a subject (because they're usually clumsy and bad), but with the exam coming up tomorrow and no real understanding on hematopoiesis, I am eternally grateful I watched this.

    Let's hope I pass the exam x)

  • @Thenorwegiandragon

Please let me know how you do on the test! And thanks for watching!

  • @bullharrier

Epic! I was actually asked about this particular subject and it gave me a very good grade. Thanks a bunch fortthe video you made :-)

  • my MD degree is saved due to you, what meds to u want for free?

  • @kirkferentzrocks

Well Guinness isn't a prescription drug, but if it ever becomes one you'll know what to do.

  • @tobyntoto128 Nah, if you had any sense at all you would direct your comments to the person you are talking to and not to someone else. Own up to your mistakes buddy. And because you have such a great life, i guess that was your last comment to me. Enjoy.

  • @tobyntoto128 you misunderstood. i don't say mean things about children. i did not like the way sherri shepard kept petting the girl like she was an animal so i SARCASTICALLY said "i luv how sherri is petting her like a pet."....really meaning "i do not like that". it was sarcasm. so know that i wasnt disrespecting the child. my negativity is for sherri. it bothered me how sherri kept stroking the child like an animal! please dont message me again calling me ugly and fat. thank you

  • @tobyntoto128 Well how about next time you don't click your mouse on my name, and you won't have to worry about me ever replying. learn how to comment. There is a box there that says "Respond to this video".

  • @tobyntoto128 Understood, but that was your mistake, you replied to my comment.

  • @tobyntoto128 First of all i said i agreed with what he said, i didn't say it. And really, eat people? Don't you think you getting carried away there. There are pros and cons to eating meat as well as not eating meat, i just prefer to eat meat. I made my choice, and the reality of the World is that there will always be more people who consume animal products out there and I'm one of them and i don't think that makes me any less an animal lover than you or any vegan. Why else would i be in vetmed

  • So just double checking with the sickle cell anemia. Valine is replaced by glutamic acid or the other way around. I watched another video that had it the other way around. I'm pretty sure it's going to be an essay question on my exam so I want to make sure I'm not backwards. Thanks.

  • Great lecture, really helped. I'm studying Vet.Med and i so agree with the animal comment. Some animals purpose of being is to feed others, Fact of life.

  • Note: inadequate intake and/or absorption of vitamin B12 and folate can lead to megaloblastic anemia. Pernicious anemia is a specific disease involving destruction of the parietal cells and subsequent inability to absorb B12.

  • I shall send this to my vegetarian friends.

  • thanks a lot.

  • great video... This really helped! we wud be glad 2 look into ur other videos... r there videos 4 smooth muscles?? Thanks :)

  • Divinci, Gandhi, Pythagoras, Ben Franklin, Einstein, Tolstoy, many Christian Saints of ol'.... Vegetarians. Mac Danzig, UFC champion? Vegan.

Check it out: Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

Just wondering if after you got down basic human Phys, you stopped reading or learning? You sound like someone from a 1950's American Cattle Association Ad.

I pick Science, Reason, Logic, and Evidence over Myth and Propaganda! Not to mention ethics and morals. Try it. You might like it.

  • Are you saying that vegan-ism and vegetarianism are silly? Many very smart people I know, including scientists, nutritionists, and doctors, are vegan. There are many great humanitarian, environmental, physical health, and animal rights reasons for this lifestyle choice. I suggest you Go Read a Book.... or two.

  • Albert Einstein was a vegetarian. You are a moron.

  • brontasaurus*

  • High protein intake is a myth. Read China Study. Think about a gorilla or a brotasaurus. Haha, jk, but really.

I have many friends who are vegan, and we are healthier and have way more energy than my pizza and burger eating peers.

You are gonna die one day, maybe I should eat you?

That thing about all amino acids at once has been disproven too, btw. But just in case, there are many complete plant proteins too like soy or quinoa. Or any grain + any legume, bean, or pulse.

  • *meat

  • what he said about meant is not true. besides that bit of propaganda, good lecture; thanks.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU , this is really helpful!

  • Nice lecture.. But aren't Hemopoietic cells Multipotent cells?

In your video it says they are pluripotent cells which is wrong cuz pluripotent cells are in general embryonic stem cells originated from Inner cell mass and thus can differentiate into all cells of the three germ cell layers but not an embryo... On the other hand a multipotent cell can produce a limited range of differentiated cell lineages specific to its location ( Ex. Hemopoietic cells ).. Thank you :)

  • nice lecture ... but your comment bout the animals is very wrong ... every1 is going to die some day that doesn t mean i should do something i can spare myself ... or else what wud happen to u .....also does your common sense tell u your sole purpose ....... i don't want to offend but i really did not like the comment ..... pardon me plz

  • @lonly4uonly

No offense taken, you are entitled to your own opinions like anyone else. I just find it hard to jump on a cause that's not going to change the inevitable just to make myself feel better. Also, since I apply common sense to my teaching and how I approach life then to answer your question yes. It is a powerful too that has been long forgotten in society. So all in all I personally don't think it's a very noble cause.

  • Respond to this video... Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad this helped.

  • LOL "the animals are gonna die anyway, they are just dying sooner!" great lecture, but that was really funny!

  • @agmg0525

Well it's the truth, people jump onto causes for silly reasons sometimes for selfish purposes. Common sense is a powerful tool to have. Also thanks for the kind words about the lecture, I'm glad this helped.

  • @bullharrier No thank you! I watch your lectures every time we get to a new chapter to help me understand the Charlie Brown Teacher talk I hear coming from the front of the class lol

  • thanks, man. great lecture.

  • @uderora

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad this helped you
