I'm new to the YouTube prepping community. Started with YankeePrepper and have branched out from there. Found you through SouthernPrepper1. I've been prepping for years, but thought the "Prepper Community" was full of wack-o extremist scary people. It's such a wonderful surprise that what I've found here are kind, God-fearing, loving parents and spouses. I LOVED this video. My thoughts exactly. I couldn't have said it nearly as well. Good talk, my kids are grown up and out of the house now but they are convinced that i am out of my mind and that i am prepping for "Armageddon" of course i am non denominational and the idea of armageddon worries me not a bit.

However i do watch channells where guys dress all camocombatninja style as everyone may have useful knowledge.

for many years i was politely ignored but allowed to follow my simple collection food water and tools in 1992 almost everything I had was used at a hurricane shelter that I trained with the red cross since 1978 but when the time come family went else where's but I had over 2,000 people depending me to help them a live but my children still believe that I was not there for them but playing games in a dream world of glory not to help the family I said go to the high school

As children we were taught to always have a little extra put away from my parents experience growing up in the 1940s and 50's. We were also strictly taught NOT to tell our friends or brag about our food storage pantry because it's not nice to brag to others. I realize now, it was their way of teaching us preparedness, but never called it that.

His brothers had sold him into slavery , and if you read your Holy Bible, you'll see how he saved Egypt & many others. So how did he go from slave to administrator ? Well Said! Another analogy for the kids is car insurance. We buy it in case we get into a fender bender, then we don't have to pay for all the repairs at once. Another for adults is life insurance. We buy life insurance because we all have our time and we want to take care of the loved ones we leave behind. For the adults (friends and family), anyone who has any type of insurance in their lives, home, car or life should understand that is a form of 'prepping' as well.
