i wasnt really a fan of the intro but it still gave me the chills..me being a yankee fan made it hard for me to watch...but i frikking loved this game best baseball game made ever..the ballpark customization was awesome i only got to the 3rd or 4th stands upgrade but i wish i would have continued..EA needs to go back to making these games i loved the show but i would love to play this with ps3 graphics and etc

This was a great game. It was so realistic n i loved the way you can argue with the umpires. After the 2005 game they went to collage baseball and it all went downhill from there. (for me anyways)

Great game, no doubt about it. The best soundtrack in any video game I've played, combined with the best gameplay of any baseball game I've ever played, makes this the best baseball game to date. Too much focus on graphics now-a-days so it is a breath of fresh air to have a game that you can just pop in and play.

whats bad about this game is, that when players hit the ball, and run around the bases, sometimes they just go over the bases instead of really stepping on them. you can sometimes see that on the replay.

Oh, gosh; this is a trip down memory line... all the times I popped MVP Baseball 2005 into my XBox, started it up, & saw this excellent intro. Since I'm a BoSox fan, seeing the "History Was Made in 2004..." tagline sends chills down my back.

It's really hard to believe, though, that it's been 5 years since the game came out. Figuring that this was actually the last baseball game I bought, I might as well as replay it again; the 2k series doesn't "hit the nail" overall to make it worth buying.

@SkateShoeReviewer No; what happened was that in 2005, 2k Sports got exculsive rights for the MLB license when it came to 3rd-party publishers. Thus, EA couldn't make anymore MVP Baseball games using MLB; &, as a result, for 06 & 07, EA made MVP NCAA Baseball.

H/e, since the sales of those 2 games were low, EA decided to not renew the NCAA license in 08. So, "basically", EA discontinued the franchise.
