  • @EveQue21 some people say that ankle weights are bad for your joints so thats probably why it wasn't in the video.

  • @29041982 Spud Webb was interviewed once and they asked him wat workouts he did for vertical leap n he said all he ever did growing up was practice jumping (plyometrics)

  • Is this really an efficient workout? It looks like it would be , but just to make sure. Im a 6'2 basketball player and can only dunk with one hand, and i wanna get my vertical muuuuuuuch better. So how many times a week should i do this?

    I'm 13 years old 5ft 10.5in and I think i'm almost done growing as i've grown half a centimeter in 5 months, I play volleyball (right side, power) , basketball (center) and many other sports. I have a 23 inch vertical and I can dunk 9ft 5in. In order for me to continue playing volleyball and basketball I have to be able to reach higher on my block in volleyball, or get rebounds at the rim in basketball. Could you please suggest some exercises for me?

  • definitely a good work out to make you jump higher, but you also have to do box jumps when your workout is over.

  • @gottgaame arent you suppose to do them before the workout

  • @gggman15 box jumps are always done after. then stretch out.

  • coachthom what advice do u have to get the strength back in my knee after an injury. well not actually the knee but 3 inches above it. i can still dunk but in a game i just don't have the confidence in that leg. feel like i can't even get off the ground.

  • @CoachScottThom When I play bball I often drive to the hoop and do a lot of layups off my left foot. I have always felt an uncomfortable feeling in my left calf after games and just a few days ago I badly strained it. Is there something I can do to get my calf stronger or more flexible so this won't happen. Should I do calf raises with weight or stretch my calves everday or do yoga or somehting? What do you recommend?

  • @Jshect do both stretch it before and after ur workout and go easy on the weight . strains are the from muscle being tight, put it this way if ur muscle cant stretch any more cuz it mad tight the only way it can release impact force of u coming down or driving to the hoop is to snap muscle. are actual tons of individual fibers some can be tighter than others so those are the first to give. in some very bad case the whole segment such as the cafe muscle could snap and u would need surgery.
