Wow, at 0:25-0:30, does anyone know the story behind the metallic guy holding the light? That's almost worthy of a second video (almost). ^.^

He is a "human spotlight", which is one of many "running gag" style features of the annual Ignobel awards. He keeps things well-lit. Others include the V-chip monitor (who keeps things clean) and Miss Sweetypoo (who harasses anyone who's acceptance speech takes longer than the alloted time).
