    My English is poor

Can not understand, please forgive me

  • @TaiwanisNO1 WHAT??? lol cant understand any of that :)

  • you should make a vid where u tease thye cops and make a run for it, that be a cool aggressive riding video

  • "cuz there all over" gheeeez thats freaky so thats y u hate going at night but wow. no helmet drunk jejejejejejje wow i wonder how the crime is there?

  • WTF down there

  • They seidom do. cuz once you got hurt, the sick TV reporters will always put the blame on the police. kind of weird, right?

  • Actually, the police in taiwan is poor cuz whatever they, ppl can always blame.Taiwanese shows no respect to them.

  • Hey is it true if your going over 200 KM/H then the cops wont try to chase you?

  • @siilikeraisk They seidom do. cuz once you got hurt, the sick TV reporters will always put the blame on the police. kind of weird, right?

  • @siilikeraisk

They seidom do. cuz once you got hurt, the sick TV reporters will always put the blame on the police. kind of weird, right?

  • i turned your mums cherries om

  • Why are there 10,000 views on here? I had so much fun on my scooter in Taiwan! It's such a great country, Americans should be forced to visit and see how peaceful a country can be.

  • 聽無

    !!!!!!!!

  • "You'll see their cherries" Hmmm, I wonder how that could be taken out of context? :)

  • @kcj1993 haha I thought the same thing!

  • lol mugging some lady

  • mainland chinese police do too.

  • haha, Taiwan police are so awesome!

  • Great vid lol

  • that one gets 5 stars for sure!

  • And there I was thinking police couldn't be more stupid than the police here in the states. LMAO

  • you should totally do that xD haha

  • apologizzze accepted xD

  • in the Philippines you can always see police flashing even off duty just to surpass vehicles.. x]

  • The police are not off duty if they are in a police vihicle! Its not a company car;-) They dont take it home...

  • not in my country sir, not in my country! xD haha ..actually yeah right, those are service cars..

by "off duty" i meant "not in any mission"

so.. why (always in my country) police does surpass vehicles causing more traffic and acting like they're the king of the road.. hehe

  • hahahahaha stupid cops

  • kool 你也在桃園中壢

  • I love 85°C cafe so much. It's coffee taste so thick and fill with milk falvor. I always to buy 2 cup or 1 wtih cakes. I buy this coffee of price is 50TWD,about 1.7USD. ^^

    我文法亂打的 哈 希望老外看得懂...

  • wow those cops r really sneaky eh..... in canada where i live the O.P.P hide so good you can be going over the speed limit and know where they r hiding cuz the hide in the stupidest places ever

  • Here in Brazil the police is as dumb as in Taiwan! They're stupid flashing lights is ALWAYS on!!! If they used lights off, I guess I would get busted a few couples of times....

  • hahaha stupid cops XD You dont need the cop detector there :D XDD

btw I love your videos man :D so addicting! XD

  • Mordeth, when you were talking about the cherries being on all the time (when the cops are on duty), I agree that it's stupid. The cops in Mexico do the same thing. When I went there for the first time I was thinking "Damn, there must be a big accident or something going on!", because every cop I saw had his cherries on. And then I realized that they just always keep them on. Nonetheless, I think Taiwanese and Mexican cops have stupid methods of patrol, if you can even call it that haha.

  • LOLOLOLOL hear in nova scotia ths fuzz hide behind telephone poles hahaha

  • That is funny. In Puerto Rico, the police drive their cars the same way. They always keep their police lights on at all times.

When I go there, my friends and I always joke around saying, "Quick, hide the drugs and the guns!" Whenever we see the flashing police lights off in the distance.

  • man, you passed 85 degrees c. love that place.

  • Why? I swear to God get a latte from 85C and the 7-11 and pour into unmarked cups. Serve to a friend. I bet s/he will say the 7-11 is superior.

But to the video author: youth is no excuse for drink driving or excessive speeding (a little bit is okay in some cases). I hope you're ashamed of yourself.

  • I agree. My wife and I bought 85C coffee a couple of months ago. We won't be doing that again...ever. Starbucks for me.

  • @13mordeth YEAH STARBUCKS!!!! thats the best!...then dunkin donuts

  • I gotta disagree with the naysayers 85C is pretty good. It is the closest thing I can find to Tim Hortons in Taiwan. Now if you like burnt coffee (Starbucks) then I can see why you wouldn't like it.

  • oh man i don't know. i think it's way better than tim horton's. but i know what you're getting at. i refuse to even really compare 85c to starbucks, though.

  • hahahaa.... hey mordeth listen: When you shot the video, YOU WHERE SPEEDING AND USING THE WRONG LANES!!! what you say about the taiwan cops incl. there flashing lights is actually true. about all the rest you said.... well.... you shouldn't talk like that. I am in Taipei once a year and when not, I am missing it.....

  • 3 35 wow i never knew that...... you learn something new everyday.

  • Re: the cops who went right on red...

I believe cops are allowed to do that when the crashbar flashers are on. I'm not sure you're completely right about the on-duty statement (as far as regulations go, anyway, most cops in Taiwan are certainly lazy enough to do that in practice), but I can understand the frustration.

  • He makes videos so people can watch them. Hence the whole Youtube deal.

Just thought I'd point that out because you seem a bit confused as to where you are.

  • I'm married with a child.....so I don't think I'd live long sleeping 4 hours a night and sleeping around. Thanks for the lame ass comment though. Always nice to see how many people are dumber than myself.

  • This is a long shot, but maybe... just MAYBE... this whole video blogging thing is a "hobby"?

A hobby like riding your high horse? =O!

  • my horse is high, doesn't make for fun riding he just stands there eating grass :(

  • Oh god man....you said "I'm no imbacile" and you spelt "imbecile" wrong. That's funny. You rock!

  • ...And you going around YouTube trying to tell people they're stupid shows what an interesting life you have. You fail. Go back to banging your blow-up doll.

  • Yeah that's what I was thinking on the way to work. He's trying to tell me how pathetic my life is....meanwhile he's an internet troll....which everyone knows is the lowest of the low.

  • humm.. u should make a snc while drunk, post it up, and just say it was from when u where young :D

  • hahaha u make the police sound like a joke lol

  • I guess pressence is a deterant

  • hey do you need a license to drive their and is their road rules????

  • Cherries... too funny. My wife and I went to B'day party and there was a girl from Shanghai who's name was "Cherry". I told my Taiwanese wife that only Porn Stars and girls from Shanghai choose a name like that. She just laughed. M13 I'd like to hear what are the funniest english names you have heard so far.

  • thats fucken halarious if are u atually serious about them keeping lights on for just being on duty?

  • Yes he's serious. It threw me for a loop the last time I visited there. However, when it comes to Taiwanese Cops the exact meaning of the phrase "On duty" is pretty wide open for interpretation.

  • cops are not out to catch people.

    They try to keep order.

The purpose of them is not only to catch people...but if 5 drunk divers take precaution BECAUSE of seeing those lights....the police had just prevented 5 accidents....instead of being able to be on site right away.

  • What you need to consider is that in Taiwan chances are 3 of those 5 drunk drivers are COPS

  • Or those 5 drivers could all panic and run off the road. In the city that could be alot of injuries.

I understand the concept of deterrence by presence, but it shouldn't be relied on so heavily. Deterrence only works if the criminal believes that he will be caught and his punishment will be swift and undesirable.

  • its mabey a tactic where if your speeding and you see them , you slow down , slowing down for that little bit may make a big difference , other than flyin past them not seeing them and causing a high speed persuite ?

  • I wish cops were the same here. Instead they post cardbord cutouts to make you slow down and when you speed back up there they are.

  • Yeah that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard, cops flashing their lights for no reason wtf xD

  • *edit* Except that they are on duty i mean

  • I'm glad that if I need help on something Youtube always shows me how to do it. haha I never knew so many people were so informative!

  • that's the stupidest police related thing i ever heard

  • "flashing their cherries" hmm I'll have to remember that one.

  • i bought my new helmet today, scorpion EXO-1000, goodies

  • Cool man, congratz.

  • Nice

    what colour?

  • i jus got the gloss black, im not into all the designs and shit, u can check it out on my youtube page

  • in uk they can go through red

  • Not for no reason they can't.

  • only if they have to attend a situation like a crash not if there just patrolling, and that policee car was only patrolling and ran a red light

  • Perhaps the undercover cops have normal cars with a detachable light on the roof, so you can see that they are on duty ;)

  • Mind If I ask if they have undercover cops? since they sound obsolete

  • I'm sure they have them, but I've never seen nor heard of undercover cops in Taiwan.

  • Your story about the driver honking..

I was taking a little trip a year ago or so and there was a lady driving down the highway flashing her lights, turning them on and off, turning her blinkers and hazards on and off.. for no reason. It was daylight and not busy at all. Some people are just loony.

  • just heard about the lights, nvm

  • Eh? cops can go through red if they got sirens on can't they?

  • As far as I understood, a policecar that has their lights on means they´re on duty. So he normally has to stop at red lights, like every other cop in most countries (without lights).

  • seems like cops dont obey traffic laws there either

  • same here in mexico, but expcept the only ones with the cherries on are the traffic police, the other cops they won´t turn they cherries on until they have some situation going on...

  • fukn insane about the cherries... wow... good vid man :D

  • ehh, why pull over so you let them pass. they are only on duty.... wtf... doesnt make any sense....

  • Drunk drivers are awesome, until they hurt or kill somebody. A buddy of mine fell asleep at a 4 lane intersection waiting for the left arrow. Sleeping, directional on, foot on the brake... $2500 and a few meetings later, we all still get a good laugh about it... I

  • ur vids r to good, u should never turn that camera off, and send a live feed to the internet so we can watch everything, haha

  • Aren't they cute with their pretty flashing lights? why yes they are :P lol

  • turn right on red? you think thats bad?

cops here in california will fly past me on a freeway doing a 100mph usually in the slow lane too

and damn do they cut into lanes

  • Cops in Greece are about the same. Unlike in Germany though. You glance around you see no cop, run a red light,at absolutely no possibility risk to anyone and here they come in a undercover car flashing.

Unlike Taiwanese, US police flashing means pull over to the right. If they chase you, then pull out wherever you're not posing any risk to drivers- next exit, next parking lot, etc.

  • or if you live in vegas like me it seems to mean just pull over and block two lanes of traffic

  • Uh, duh?

    German cops are so SNEAKY!

  • wait its illegal to turn right on a red? arent u guys driving on the right side of the road... well any ways lmao about the cops having their lights on haha reminds you of cab drivers lol they turn their lights on when they are on service.

  • Dude Taiwan rocks i should move there or something.

  • That's a stupid thing about the police and their lights flashing. Extremely stupid. Informative video.

  • Wow... do how do they pull someone over? or do they just blast the siren?

  • now that is mental ........

  • lol only check stops mordeth

  • god knows we all love mordeth vigilantism

  • How do you know when to give way to emergency vehicles then?

  • People rarely do anyway....they don't know how. Then again I bet most Westerners don't know you can run a red if there's an ambulance with siren on behind you.

  • that's what the siren's for :D lmao

  • That triggers another question, what about deaf people?

  • the police just run into them ;) haha

  • lol taiwan police FTL

  • As you said, the people breaking the law quit as soon as they see the cops coming with their lights flashing. If the cops drove around with no lights flashing, they might actually have to make an arrest...which would require real work and eventually paperwork.

  • the same over here in Mexico

    baout the cop lights

  • in mexico they do it to avoid having to pull someone over or make an arrest... ive seen it

  • LOL

    mabe your right

    LOL

    them cops are scared

  • haha wow! the police in taiwan are really really dumb, as you said mordeth. is tehre no common sense there or what? i think ill stick with my american cop cars that leave the lights off for patroling. i just cant get over how fucking retared taht is

  • wish that is like that in my country ;D

Insted, our cops sneak up in civilian cars, and almost jump off trees with stop signs...LOL

  • Comment removed

  • thats unreal about there lights wow!

  • and that police constantly lighting really is DUMBASS practice...hahaha

  • hahah @ 0:30 he starts numbering crazy guys...hahah he really does it good :)

  • numbering crazy guys?

  • sorry for my english...the way you list all the problematic drivers: "Some crazy guy speeding, some motorcycle flying by with headlights off, some crazy guy without helmet, riding like an idiot"

    hahahaha :D so cruel

  • STFU night riding is the best

  • FU imma go all kung fu on you if you dont stfu xD

  • Cops in Washington DC have little white lights on their light bar which blink. I don't know if it means their on duty, or if they just turn them on so that residents take notice of them making patrols in their neighborhood (a while back there were some complaints that cops didn't have 'presence' in certain neighborhoods).

Maybe it's a similar thing. Maybe your cops are just trying to reassure people that they are indeed there protecting and serving.

  • Taiwan cops don't have the dispensation to go through a red light (if safe)?

  • Forget about the cops. In Taiwan red lights are optional. If you drive in Taiwan take the traffic lights and signs as merely suggestions.

  • Yeah, I have been to the third world and that's exactly what it's like, though my comment was rhetorical my friend. Hence the question mark.

  • omg! u have so many videons! IM GOING TO GO WATCH THEM ALL =D

  • cops in america turn on their lights and sirens just to run red lights or intersections

  • What pisses me off is how they just drive as fast as they want with no reason. I saw a car pass me on the highway one time goin 85+ cause I was going 70, then I see this cop come flying up from behind me, I thought "about time they actually pull someone over for driving fast and recklessly". But he doesn't do anything. He passes the car that flew by me and kept on going. But I got pulled over a few weeks ago going 70. I didn't think anything of it cause the group ahead of me was going 80+

  • Good tangent Mordeth. Are they allowed to have bullets?

  • sudden surge of night time vids. how come?

  • The night vids are great. Ours is not to question why, ours is but to enjoy these glimpses of the Asian night life.

  • He makes series of movies. This is video 4 of the "Saturday Night Cruise" series.

  • thanks, much better reply that the other person. just wondering is all because it's a bit more difficult to see while it's night, still enjoy the talking though.

  • yeah, I prefer the daytime videos also. But any mordeth13 video is a good video.

  • the taiwan pollice should have there own series of cops, it would just be 30 minutes of driving around, and about 3 minutes of going to the shops for some snacks.. lol

  • haha...yep.

  • Mordeth have you seen that crazy clip on youtube about taiwan cops? its called useless taiwanese cops.

Has to be seen to be believed frankly.

  • I believe it. I also live in Taiwan.

  • Even if the police don't get to write you a ticket, you still slow down though when you see their lights. So really, they are making more people slow down and drive safer by having their lights on rather than hiding and only catching one car at a time.

  • People do that often where I live, we call it sportsbike baiting. Also if people hear a bike thrashing about then people will go hunting for it

  • Is Taiwan part of China?

  • Taiwan is an independent country, but the Communists claim it just like Adolf Hitler did to Poland and the whole Europe in WWII.

  • Thats what i thought, but my boss tryed to tell me it was part of China kind of like how Alaska is part of America.

  • Your boss is wrong....just ask him "If Taiwan is part of China then why do they have their own president, their own passports and their own currency?" Not to mention Taiwan competed against China in the Olympics. Did Alaska compete against the USA? I didn't think so.

  • So if the lights were off why would they be driving a police car if you weren't on duty anyway?

  • taiwan police rockz

  • Do the police have a policy about driving with the cherries on when on duty? Or is is like they get a trip out of looking important: "Hey look at me everyone!" "Look at my cool lights!"

  • In Canada it's the exact opposite. They have vehicles that range from pickups to dodge chargers to the standard ghost car, and they hide. I wish more people used trapster.

  • i think youre missing the point.

the police lights are on to intimidate and prevent from all those things you've mentioned.

I know in some cases they put a carton looking police car, just so drivers would see them and slow down.

    dont you agree?

  • and to add to that (i didnt know i cant edit on utube :x )

even you said so yourself, once you saw them, you either slowed down or pulled the other way, so it does work.

  • I guess they don't get their funding through ticket sales then. lol

  • but you speed immediately after they pass you...or speed away...depending where you see them.....or at least thats what I would do if I was in Taiwan!

  • the benefit is short lived

  • I was wondering about that when I was in Taiwan. I kept seeing the police driving along with the cherries on.

On another note, still waiting for the promised 'epic' neighbor series.

  • mugging some old lady..... no worries!!!

  • Lol taiwan police really sucks with light's

  • I once seen a mobile speed camera van doing way over 40 in a 30 zone ? and then got done myself doing 36 in a 30 the cheeky tw@s, cool vid man

  • Wow those police are rather stupid...

  • yea same thing in japan. lights on just means on duty. lights off no worries lol

  • If the Police Drive around with their lights on all the time, how do you know if they are going to pull you over?

  • they run you off the road!!

  • I suppose they'd turn on their siren? But to be honest I've NEVER seen them pull someone over. The only time I've seen them stop people is at check stops. Or speed traps.

  • :D I had a google add on this video about how to become a Police Officer. Irony.

  • Haha that's too funny. :D

  • second comment 8th view

  • Nice vid :D

  • first comment ! :P and view

  • fuck off 4th :(

  • haha :D
