@TenshiTamagoKidd15 While i like the first batch of groups you mentioned, i do agree that the second group (Sherry, Dream, Bright, Scandal) are better. The music they make seems of a higher quality. It annoys me that AKB48 is so popular. yes they are talented, to keep in sync and harmonize and stuff, but their concepts just seem demeaning. You can be cute, or sexy, very well, without being being raunchy.

@TenshiTamagoKidd15 like i said, if you have ever watched their stages, then you'd know that they CAN sing. river and beginner were examples. sakura shiori is a song that is not cutesy, and it isnt even the same style as beginner. AKB48 fans like them because of that style. cute is their image and style. about those people you mentioned. well, they must be rele stupid because there are MANY other artists who are not cutesy. most artists arent cutesy at all (hamasaki ayumi, nakashima mika, etc.)

AKB48 debuted 2005, while the cutesy style started wayyyyyy before. um onyanko club was completely famous from that, and they were from the 80s. and several H!P groups are also cutesy, so it doesnt make sense to single out AKB48. and though there are alot of people who would agree with you, there are also alot of people who would agree with me.

@atarashi26michi I know they can, i do like some of their songs. I just wish they wouldn't have songs like ponytail, heavy rotation, Baby Baby Baby, etc. which are some of their most known ones. They are good performers, but i wouldn't really call the music they help make,,,well music. The can sing and dance well but its rarely ever shown, which makes me sad. If you're aren't a AKB48 fan, most of the stuff one knows about them are that they are really successful and have some questionable videos

Try watching AKB48's alive (team K), River. They are not always cute type like you think. Sorry about momusu. I don't know much about them.
