@miltsar Young "adopted" her after she was born and brought her up to think she was adopted, despite the fact that she looked exactly like a blend of her parents, Loretta Young and Clark Gable. Everyone in Hollywood knew who she was long before she did, and her mother finally told her the truth after she was grown. Gable came over to Young's house and kept looking at her carefully but she didn't know he was her father.
They both were so beautiful. I wish that they had been recognized in the "Leading Couples" book. I love Loretta, she was so beautiful and ladylike. And Tyrone, well he was such a strapping fellow.
Three of them (Second Honeymoon, Café Metropole and Love is News) are on DVD in the Tyrone Power Matinee Idol set that came out this year. I'm not sure if Ladies in Love and Suez are out on DVD or not- I don't think they are.
