I have read the excerpts from all those pictured and what I can say is that their comments are complex. To sum it up the GOP is NOT necessarily for getting rid of Medicare, rather they would like to see if privatized. Given how private companies have marketed American health, the Dems are making this leap.

I've HAD surgery twice here without any problems that Republican alarmists brainwash Americans about. So glad I got it in Austria & now Canada!

When Social Security was created most people died shortly before or soon after 65. The financial projections were for very few people to ever receive Social Security. Even then it was only supposed to be supplemental to people's savings, not enough to retire on. Government expected most people to work until they died. Im sure these programs are good and benefit alot of people, but they are expensive. They always grow to be more expensive. I bet by 2050, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will make up almost 100% of the governments revenue.

I can imagine 18,000 Americans dying every year because they have no insurance. There is a big spin, a LIE in the "no choice" and "poor healthcare" rhetoric against public healthcare. It is true that in a single payer you MUST pay for a public insurance. But it doesn't mean you can't have a private one on top of that, which would cover for everything left out of the public ins. and would still cost you less than an American style insurance.

This ad is a bit disingenuous... First I am all for health care reform, in fact I would prefer a single payer system. With that said this ad makes only partial truths. I have read the excerpts from all those pictured and what I can say is that their comments are complex. To sum it up the GOP is NOT necessarily for getting rid of Medicare, rather they would like to see if privatized. Given how private companies have marketed American health, the Dems are making this leap.

I've HAD surgery twice here without any problems that Republican alarmists brainwash Americans about. Speaking of Ignorant Voters...Did any of you know that the Democrats specifically Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid control the Calendars of the House and Senate? So Pelosi and Reid would have to put this phantom bill on the calendars.Even if the bill made it out of the Democrat chaired comittee, Pelosi and Reid aren't obligated to bring the bill to the floor for a vote? It's Obama and the Democrats that have actually proposed cutting Medicare by $500 Billion...but why let facts get in the way?

Can those elitist ever stop lying? I mean damn, ever? It's too late to stop Medicare as too many have paid into it all their life. If they did stop without a plan to replace it for those that have paid into it for 20 and more years, well, people will revolt. The Republicans are no more intelligent than the Dems. and only slightly more noble. Neither party can be trusted beyond knowing their members will enrich themselves at public expense, but if it came to one or the other I'll take Republican.

That was fun. I wish there were more of these ads. There are plenty on the republican side, but only a few on the democrat side. It's hard to justify my hatred of both parties when one side is caught so much more often in bullshit than the other, but both suck.

If you can't see that the playing field is pretty even when it comes to political slander then you're still biased to one side. Both parties slander each other in this manner evenly, one just does it with more subtlety. Most see their BS as truth, only a true indy can see through the BS on both sides. Obviously you can't.

When Social Security was created most people died shortly before or soon after 65. The financial projections were for very few people to ever receive Social Security. Even then it was only supposed to be supplemental to people's savings, not enough to retire on. Government expected most people to work until they died. I guess you must be channeling FDR, he worked until he died and he expected you and me to do the same.

Yes, all the people who hate so called "Socialist" Govt (President Obama) programs should not take medicare or medicaid, go to public school, not support the military or utiliize our infrastructure. Perhaps they would appreciate a third world country like Somalia, which has none of these things. They and their neighbors can take care of the orphans dying in the streets, the mud roads and fend off the bandits, since there will be no police. After all, they're all locked and loaded, so they say.

in 8 years we will be payiing 800,000,000 in interest ALONE on our national debr. whicjh obama will at least double. this govt has about 30 -40 years to come up with $60,000,000,0000 ,0000 that's trillion.
