  • Hello! I followed your video step by step and it is so much easier and faster than what I was doing before! I was placing him in front then twisting the babyand the mei tai slowly to the back.

This is very helpful, thank you!

  • Wow...that actually looks pretty do-able! Back carries have been intimidating to me but I think I'll try it. Thanks!!!

  • This is now how I do this carry! It's my favorite back carry! Thank you for this video. I would be going crazy if I couldn't put my LO back there. I've been trying for a month and the day she turned 4 months, it worked! Huzzah!

  • Thanks for making such a great video. Can't wait to try it out.

  • My little one was about 7 months old. You can do back carries with a 6 week old but I would not suggest to do them with a Mei Tai. You need a non-stretchy, woven wrap. Check out The BabyWearer message boards.

  • How old was your baby? do u think 6 weeks is too young for this one? thanks!

  • thank you so much. lots of help for my extremely wiggly 30lb 15month old

  • Thanks! No, she never really pulled my hair. Or I would put it in a ponytail.

  • Thanks a lot for this video! You have an adorable baby! <3

I have a question: Your hair is pretty long, doesn't your baby pull it? I'm afraid of getting bald if I carry my child like this...

  • Thanks so much! This will work great with my 3 month old. It never occurred to me to change how she got in it .

  • NEAT! Can't wait to try this out!

  • you guys rock! what a LOVELY baby!!! i'll try this shoulder sit technique. twilli is also very squirmy and fussy when i try to do a back carry in the mei tai.

  • thanks! glad to help you.

  • Very helpful - thanks!

  • Thanks so much. I have been struggling with dd2 trying to get her in a non-squirmy moment to get her on my back. This is so much eaier!

  • omg thank you, my dd is 7.5 mos and i do the back carry but she is low on the back and cant see anything and gets so fussy. this really helped me

  • Excellent! Thank you very much. Nobody ever seems to address the problem of a seriously squirmy baby, all the videos just show these babies that just lie flat and cuddle up to Mama's back. Yeah. That's so not my baby! I'm always nervous every time I try to hold her on my back with just one hand. Love this way to get her on my back.

  • Thanks for this video! I have a mei tai but didn't really know how to do a back carry with my 5-month old. I was able to carry laundry down three flights of stairs today with baby on my back for the first time since she was born. Thanks!

  • That's great! I'm so glad it helped you.
