Good grammar doesn't take much time to learn, so I suggest you do so. Using bad grammar reflects badly on you if you ever want to job.

Although it's my own personal opinion, I think that in modern day society the things you've been discussing seem somehow less important than they perhaps would twenty or so years ago. The only reason I'm persistent in correct grammar and punctuation is because I do find it difficult to understand the abbreviations that are now so often used.
