too bad toneys back has never touched canvas in his carreer..tysons back has fallen asleep on canvas many times..toney woulda punished tyson just as he did holyfield
@cheeesefunnel Haha, who care's aparntly everyone thats why MMA is the fastess growing sport. Iama huge boxing fan an theres nothing better than seeing to guys Duke it out. But MMA is over comeing boxing.
@pryzed1 the day that an mma fighter makes more than $300,000 a fight is the day mma over comes boxing, boxing is 30 to 50 million dollar pay outs... there nothing more traditional then two guys going toe to toe in the ring... i enjoy watching mma but thats shit is boring as fuck unless you watch two dudes that love to stand up and throw bombs
@cleemeyer1 Yea no shit boxer's get paid way load more than MMA fighter's. But MMA has only been around for 18 year's. Boxing's been round for more than 100 year's. imagine how big MMA is gonna be in 20years from now. It's already been proven that MMA is the fastess growing sport.
@pryzed1 why is mma the fastest growing sport? cuz dana white says it is? lol mma is just not my cup of tea you can like whatever you like... me personally i like seeing two dudes go toe to toe for 12 rounds, not a 3 round wrestling match that ends in a choke
@cleemeyer1 My response.... K1 boxing is nice and all but its too old school; two guys going at it for an hour with pillows on their hands isnt fun to watch anymore. People want to see an evolved sport take on pretty much all aspects of fighting. The reason wrestlers are very formidable is because they are allowed to use the skills that they train for. Believe it or not an experienced wrestler and submission artist can destroy almost any mainly striker you put them up against. No disrespect.
@roverman540 You are an idiot. MMA is not real fighting it's a sport. And btw gloves are meant to protect your hands not the opponent's head. That's why boxing is such a manly sport, because you go in there and you have no other choice - you have to get hit in the head. MMA is great but it's still ages behind other sports. MMA fighters get what? 10k a fight? That's what most basketball, soccer, tennis, hockey and boxing players get in 2 weeks. MMA is a great sport but the talent pool is not deep
@DestroyerAlexandros I see you tried at a comeback. Lets see if you go tell Diego Sanches or hell go tell a retired Chuck Lidelle that it wasnt real fighting. Even if you look up a highlight video of any MMA fight you can see that it is 100% real. Ufc has some devastating rules but look at pride and say "Its just a sport". In boxing sure you may be forced to get hit in the head but whats the point of getting your brains beat in when you can train to not get hit at all? Boxing is dead.
@DestroyerAlexandros And the gloves in boxing are like little shields. MMA gloves are meant to allow full hand control for both grappling and striking. The old generation of boxing fans are still alive so its obvious it will still be a prominent sport for a while. You still have to face the facts it will be passed up. MMA takes all aspects of fighting into account and does it gloriously. Two guys punching is nice but watching an explosive MMA fight is better than two hours of a pillow fight.
@roverman540 I'm 18 and I love both sports to death. I started boxing when I was 15 and "transitioned" to MMA but the more I learn about combative sports the more I realize what a gigantic gap there is. You watch an MMA fight and it's exciting and unpredictable BUT the athletes are just ages behind for example Roy Jones. You see Shane Carwin the top contender at HW gas in 5 minutes and not to mention a lot of guys seem to mix up bodybuilding and combat training. You see guys like (continues)
@roverman540 Dan Hardy get a title shot and then lose 4 in a row. And keep in mind those guys are UFC level, they're the best. Then you watch James Toney in his prime in the 90s and you're left speechless. Trust me, in a perfect world I'd have boxers and MMA fighters making equal money, helping each other in training and liking each other but in a perfect world we wouldn't have combative sports see what I did there? Sports are generally based on skill but athleticism and experience (continues)
@roverman540 are also determining factos. And in MMA the guys make like 100 thou a fight, boxers make 1 mil a fight. It's simple economics, the better athletes are going to transition into the better paid sport. As you can see, when Roger Gracie or Jacare transition into MMA, the skill gap is so HUGE on the ground that MMA guys don't stand a chance. And the striking difference between boxers and any any other combat sport is EVEN BIGGER. The skill and athleticism of boxers is what keeps it going
@DestroyerAlexandros Finally someone who doesnt come at me like a retard with a pistol and a vendetta against opinion. There are a lot of guys that dont gas out after 5 minutes. Frankie edgar, Chael Sonnen, Grey maynard are three that have A LOT of stamina and endurance. People often just refer to heavy weight MMA fighters because they do run out of steam pretty fast, but these are 205+ lbs guys that are forced to use their whole body. Not a diss to the stamina of boxers but it is a lot to
@roverman540 Account for when you're dealing with professional killers who know boxing, jeet kune do, judo, MMA, wrestling, muay thai, etc are just sports like baseball, tennis, basketball and hockey and have nothing to do with real fighting.
@cleemeyer1 Oh an in the last UFC, John jones vs mauricio shogun rua, John jone's took home $400,000 for that ONE fight. An michael bisping was paid $800,000 for his fight. An if u thing iam playin look it up on the UFC pay roll.
@pryzed1 800,000 thats how much the under cards get paid... not the main events lol... bookies just dont like mma that much because theres too many ways the better fighter can lose, thats why they'll never gross as much as a boxing match
@pryzed1 Naaaaaah man. The TOP of the heap UFC guys get 300-400k a fight and they fight 3 times a year. That's 1.2 mil a year. That's what Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United makes in 3 months. That's what Rafael Nadal makes a month (without the sponsorship deals which are ridiculous in tennis). I love MMA to death but having done both MMA and boxing in an Eastern European country that has a constant flow of combat athletes, the boxing talent pool is much deeper.
@DestroyerAlexandros Everyone know's UFC an MMA guy's dont get paid that much compared too Boxing. But MMA is the fastess growing sport, Imagen how big its gonna be in 10year's.
@pryzed1 One thing Americans can't get is that there's a difference between "Fastest growing sport" and "Fastest growing sport in America". Nobody in Europe knows what MMA is. Sure it's becoming more popular and all but unless MMA had the Olympic/youth flow of athletes that other sports have it will never be the fastest growing.
james toney has gotten me further in this game than any other fighter.tysons easy to beat with james lights out toney its klitchco i cant beat yet lol this games better than champion
@BeatsBySten I don't know about that. Toney is good, but Tyson in his prime before he got all fucked up mentally by prison and Don King? I doubt it. Tyson in his 30s after prison and during Don King's reign in Tyson's life? Probably!
Fight Night Round 4 has him looking a little more like he should. thank goodness their discrimination has somewhat seized. There is still to much belly,,, he is a lot more muscular than he is fat!!! Get it right next game people!
@bandit7498 He is much more muscular than he is fat, he has a little extra padding , which is actually a good thing, to take shots. but other that little bit of extra padding he's all muscle. and a lot of it.
@YoungCandy2nd Be for real dude. Being fat doesn't help you take punches. If that were the case you'd never see an in shape fighter. On top of that being as fat as he is shows how little he trains anymore. It also explains why he's so damn slow anymore. Doesn't matter. Randy's gonna kick his stupid ass this weekend anyway, so maybe he'll retire the motherfucker from any kind of combat sport.
Fight Night Round 3 made James Toney look terrible,,, even at his heaviest he's still a bulky muscular guy with a big chest, arms and back... there more Chest , arms , neck and back to him then belly... I can't even play that game with him cause they made him look awful. and he should be in all the weight classes he he was in real life. and why is he the same looking in heavyweight and in light heavyweight.???? terrible, jus like real life when he was a bit heavy, unfairly discriminatory.
@vidaa82 and that did happen, well tapped him out so mma fans know him as James "Tap out" tony lol
