@uhstevedude The Church has never stated that being black is a sin. There was a time when the priesthood was not available to people of African American ancestry, for whatever reason. But it's never been a sin. And the Church is against gay marriage. That does not mean we "hate" them. We are taught to love all men and women, gay or straight. We believe that everyone will get a chance to be saved, no matter what. We're anti-hate more than anything.

This video is funny. I used to be strong LDS until I realized that my religion was not based on the true Jesus Christ in the Bible and the true Gospel of Christ, but instead based on lies. Study 1st and 2nd century christianity and the writings of the christian fathers, and you will see an entirely different picture. If you learn and study those, mormonism all of the sudden seems much more plausible and accurate than today's reformed christianity.

Since the bible doesn't explain much about the aspects and "rules" of what was to be observed in polygamy, you can't say that LDS polygamy is any more abnormal than early biblical polygamy because you just don't know that much about it.
And just to be somewhat agreeable, I do think polygamy is very unusual. Our whole society has been raised monogamous for centuries, so something other than that introduced is obviously not going to be well accepted and will be looked down upon.
But when you have philosophical and scriptural support for it as a legitmate Judeo-Christian practice, I'm certain it's not up to you to determine what God should or shouldn't allow or command in our time.

There are lots of good Catholics and lots of good Mormons but it's not because they belong to those organizations. This video is funny. I used to be strong LDS until I realized that my religion was not based on the true Jesus Christ in the Bible and the true Gospel of Christ, but instead based on lies. It is absolutely ridiculous to think that Jesus Christ was Mormon. I remember on my LDS mission, being asked if I thought Jesus was a Mormon, and when I said yes, not only was I laughed at with good cause, I could never got passed knowing I was completely ignorant until I found the Truth.

And if we are like God and become an heir to the things of God as the scriptures teach, then that means we will be very much like God himself. Mormonism is the bomb.
Study 1st and 2nd century christianity and the writings of the christian fathers, and you will see an entirely different picture. If you learn and study those, mormonism all of the sudden seems much more plausible and accurate than today's reformed christianity.
Christianity today is only a reformation of Catholicism. It is not a restoration of the Christian church in the bible. There is much lacking, and that is where mormonism fills in the gaps.

Regardless, the writings of these early christian fathers as uncovered somewhat recemtly, indicte that the doctrines and "secret" practices of the christian church were actully much more reminiscent of Modern LDS teachings than they are of any other Christian creed.

ok first off, black skin is not a curse. Second, we believe that the people of old who seperated from the good people we cursed with darker skin so people can tell the difference. We do not believe though that darker skinned people are bad.

As a Mormon, I am tired of being told I'm going to hell, that I'm misguided, that I don't have the truth, and I'm definitely tired of my beliefs being mocked. I love the Lord and I find it in bad taste to mock another's religion. I respect all my friends' beliefs and you won't find me making ridiculous videos just because I don't believe what they do. It's sad that people do such things as this; Christ died for our sins and you are just making a mockery of Him.

Polygamy is not adultery. That is a very wrong and innacurate statement.
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were all polygamysts. They were prophets, so they could not be the Lord's mouthpiece and be an adulterer.
Or are you saying God permitted adultery for his early prophets?

Homes', Mormon Polygamy is rather unusual. I have posted it in its entirety. It nullifies all non mormon marriages and contracts. I doubt if Abe did that....It does a lot more than that. It also compels polygamy thru the Mormon Hierarchy. It bestows passive polyandry as a byproduct onto the female. it is hell on hearth

No, not IF. He DID. It's 100% fact that Abraham and Jacob were polygamist. Even early christian fathers talk about it and say they did nothing wrong.
Since the bible doesn't explain much about the aspects and "rules" of what was to be observed in polygamy, you can't say that LDS polygamy is any more abnormal than early biblical polygamy because you just don't know that much about it.

And just to be somewhat agreeable, I do think polygamy is very unusual. Our whole society has been raised monogamous for centuries, so something other than that introduced is obviously not going to be well accepted and will be looked down upon.
But when you have philosophical and scriptural support for it as a legitmate Judeo-Christian practice, I'm certain it's not up to you to determine what God should or shouldn't allow or command in our time.

Polygamy is biblical. It was restored as a legitimate practice by God through Joseph Smith. If you don't believe that, then that's fine. I don't care.
But I do know one thing, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God.
If you don't agree with me then I just feel sorry for you.
