Yu two are amazing, not only for what yur doing for yur kids.. But also for shaping our world to become respectful ppl of every human living gay/bi/lesbian/str8 what eva..!

I hope I made sense lol

  • you guys are doing a great thing!

  • bless you guys <3 you guys are amazing <3

  • What you are doing is unnatural. Family values on youtube?

    Ridiculous!

  • @toledini Then don't watch it. Find something better to do with your own time. You have a cold heart. Shame on you

  • @PK51TK You didn't get the joke I see.

  • @PK51TK Sry. I totally take that back. I do see know. Sorry my English is not that good but I get it! peace

  • I think you both doing a great job!

  • I love this video you guys are really great!!!

  • Bless his little heart! He is gorgeous inside and out :] xx

  • Yo dogs FUCK garysher3! Yo kids are fine! Just have a strong woman role model for them to look up if they need. Thank god for loving gay couples to give these children a chance at having a family.

  • Do you think people like garysher3 have thought about families that have lost a parent either through death or divorce or whatever, those children wouldn't have a mother and father but I'm sure garysher3 wouldn't complain about them

  • OMG. What an amazing thing you guys are doing- not just for your children but for the world! I happened upon the Ep. 2 video and watch it all the way through. I could not stop watching so I'm starting from the beginning with this one! I can't believe I've never heard of you and no media outlets have brought you up (am I right about this?). Keep it going, please keep posting, sharing, and changing lives. Thanks for giving us hope! - Str8t Grrl in No. Cal.

  • lovely video. You're all very lucky to have each other! My partner and I will hopefully adopt one day and you have got me very broody!!

  • I was born with goldenhar, hemifacial microsomia, and VATER syndromes. I've been following you for a while and I came upon this searching for goldenhar as I write a performance piece about my medical experiences. I'm also writing a piece about my dad as Darth Vader, a metaphor for being the John Q that my conditions required. I was suppose to end up in an institution and now at 27 I am in graduate school and gay and searching for someone to look past the surgery scars and raspy voice.

  • This video is very hopeful for many, many who have plans. As being gays! I totally agree on everything u said! GOD BLESS U 4. Great great job guys! :)

  • You don't need to be with your biological mother/father to be a normal functioning family... What you need is someone to love, raise, and look after you. Three of my friends were adopted from different countries and they all love their parents very much. I've lost my mother to Pancreatic cancer, and although I miss her so much, my dad loves me more than anything and I love him too. And he's done a great job at raising me to be a respectable woman.

Your family is beautiful. Good luck to you :)

  • Wow! Even though I'm only 14 I wanted to say that you guys are doing an awesome job with your kids! I mean talking with Daniel about his condition, wow! I was so impressed about his knowledge about it and acceptance. Not only that but he remains positive and doesn't let it phase him! Congrats guys on such great kids that you've raised! Merry Christmas!! :)

  • @xxAIRPLANESxx ur an astonishing 14 yr old! i wish there were more youthful people like yourself in this world!!

  • Are Daniel and Selena biological siblings?

  • @FrannRants64539 Yes same mom

  • Wow! I just watched the video.. I am so happy to know that there are people like you. Thank you! Merry Christmas!

  • Awesome guys!!! I hope to have what you have someday and I'm glad you are making these videos so others can see how "Normal" we are and that we are capable of the love that can build and grow with a family. Congrats and keep up the good work!!! Maybe someday I will be able to make some response videos. :-)

  • I must admit that I went very teary when you mentioned the 18 year old's adoption. Of course everyone wants parents. I didn't think of kids being able to get adopted when they are older, I am really glad you mentioned that.

Thank you for all your videos, I haven't quite got through them all yet but I will!

  • also, anyone who doesn't wanna adopt difficult kids, look at this and see how they can make your life happy. they're awesome people and if you're in a position to help, then you're gonna make your own life richer by taking in these kids. i mean you can see that. it's hard to see kids suffering but if you can't do it then let others take care of them because they need help! and what your critizing is doing is the opposite of help. it's harmful to kids and would-be parents so please, THINK.

  • Daniel is awesome, he's so funny. and Selena too. :D you guys couldn't be better parents! i mean noone's perfect but as far as humans go you're perfect! hehe. straight people get your butts down to adoption centers! otherwise don't talk. don't judge just cuz you don't understand. open your mind, see the love, stop analyzing. just look at these people with eyes of love, as fellow human beings. they're happy, and love each other. wanna be together. that's all there is to it. WWJD??? <333 :)

  • you guys doing great........

  • You do a great job!!! Dont pay attention to anybody!!!

  • you are a beautiful family! congratulations!

  • you guys are awesome!!

  • i just wondering when did u guys rise them as yours children? when were they babies ?

  • @xSniperStreakHDx Thank God we didn't ge raised by your parents. It shows you have no education and family values.

  • @xSniperStreakHDx your parents obviously taught you manners (sarcasm).

  • I'm so impressed with Daniel's openness to discuss his condition.

  • Role models :)

  • i think you are awesome!!!!! congrats

  • Two words: Role models

  • You guys are great, totally inspiring.

  • Just discovered you guys thanks to Dan Savage. Thanks for doing this and letting us into your lives! Congratulations on a lovely family.

  • @TransitiveSam I love Dan Savage and I hope he gets into politics he would make a great one

  • I suport gay rights and always well i think you two are doing an amazing job.

you have two beautiful childern so keep up the good work V/R sabrina p.s im transgender so i love everyone lol

  • Well, as Leo Tolstoy said -- "Happy families are all alike".

  • the word gay actually means happy. So realisticly speaking your video means "Ask a happy family". There would be no other way to describ this family then that.

  • LOVE YOU GUYS !!!

Thank you so much for sharing your life with us...

You have no idea how this video affect me.. :) Making me feel great..

  • Thanks for putting yourselves out there, I'm sure it can't be easy, and thanks for this lovely video. You have a beautiful family, and it's clear you're very thoughtful, caring parents. The way you talked about Daniel's medical condition, and had him help you talk about it was really well done. Please don't let the ignorant negative comments get you down, and thanks for all your good work.

  • You four are adorable!!!!

  • OMG! You guys are awesome for putting yourselves out there and telling it like it is. Keep on keeping on!

  • this is awesome. Thank you

  • What a cute kid!

  • As a straight girl i say this story nearly made me cry. Why are you judge for loving a child?

  • It's nice to see two gay men not acting like the sterio type! good for you people! I'm sure your kids are loved

  • My argument against people who are anti-gay adoption, is that what about individuals who are single parents under no faults of their own, are they not allowed to raise children? What you two did is wonderful and there should be more people out there like yourselves. Your kids will grow up as great individuals because of the values their parents instilled in them... Jay and Brian you two are prime examples who what a parent should be.

  • Thank you guys for posting these videos! This is coming from a %100 straight woman. You guys are a beautiful family and your children are very lucky to have you!

  • So inspiring. My spouse and I (of almost ten years) just adopted a precious little angel - Luke (myweddingDOTcom/ericjason) Keep on keeping on and remember your family is blessed but just like Jesus, will be persecuted due to lack of understanding. May God continue to bless your wonderful family. :)

  • Your family is completely amazing.

  • Yesterday I was with a lot of friends walking in the street and I was with my boyfriend, and there were 3 homofobic guys that start to bother us without facing us (very machoo lol) and all my friends responded WHATS YOUR PROBLEM and they were like :$... lol so funny!!! Gays in the world KEEP FIGHTING! Never let other people discriminate you! NEVER!

  • Daniel is The Man!!!!!! Awesome spirit and personality!!!!! So glad he has you guys.

  • I think you are both doing a wonderful job ignore all the bigots. You can clearly see that you are giving your children a happy stable and safe home. I have now subscribed to your channel i think you are sending a really positive message out there.

Lots of love from the uk

  • @TheChineseGenius if you watch our videos wyou can see how happy they are...Selena just won student of the month 2nd year in a row she must be really sad

  • @TheChineseGenius You are completely wrong! Indeed they might be kinda sad when people LIKE YOU discriminate them. But avoiding that no-normal homofobic people they should be ok :).

  • @TheChineseGenius my 2 gay uncles (a couple) were my favorites when I was a kid, so you don't know what you are talking about.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THESE!

  • Daniel is fucking awesome :)

  • SSSSHHHHHHH! But daniel is one of my fave peeps, his comments do sometimes make me giggle :)

  • I think its great that you guys make these videos. I for one, am a gay father of 3, I was married to a woman for 5 years before coming out. I understand the challenges of raising kids of both sides of the "sexuality" fence. Kudos to you! for taking on kids no one else would. Your videos are reassuring to me & inspirational. Keep it up.

  • My partner and I of twenty years raised 5 boys and 2 girls. Some of our boys had development and emotional challenges. When the female issues came along, we had close family female friends who helped out on the " female talk" part, but we did the month to month growing up part ourselves. The end reslut is an incredibally close adult relationship with our girls. not that its anybodys bisuness but all are strait. We,re big time grandparents... : )

  • @driverain2 How many Grand Kids?

  • @depfox Our youngest kid in Sam, she's in 2ng yr of college. One of our sons is a texas DPS officerAnother a roofer, another a carpenter, ect...... so far 7 grandkids, mostly pre-k to 1st grade. I lovem to death but we're so glad they get to go home to their parents. One round of young ones in a life time is alot... see ya guys... old farts from texas ; )

  • @driverain2 Very cool sounds like you guys did a great job ;O)

  • @driverain2 My computer spelling skills really suck.... : (

  • i honestly think you guys have done such an amazing job at raising your kids.

i personally adore your cute family <3 keep it up :) i love you guys

  • i just watched this omg made me cry i love u

  • Wow! You guys are amazing great parents! Thank you for being so inspirational!

  • Thank you for posting a video about your beautiful and inspirational family. :)

  • Your children are so beautiful! And you and your husband are such a handsome couple!

  • Comment removed

  • I just started watching your "Ask A Gay Family" series, now I am trying to watch the back episodes to catch up! I so adore your whole family. Daniel is such a smart and handsome young man, who seems to just be a great kid. And Selena is absolutely adorable and growing up so fast! I will be sending in a video question! Thanks for all you do for the LGBT community - and families in general! You set a great example for ALL families out there!

  • I have/ had a cleft lip too, from home vid's I've seen it was hard for my parents so you guys must have gon though tons with Daniel :/ But you all came out of it brilliantly & of course; adorable as ever :D

  • your kids are just ADORABLE!!!

  • Aww I have a "second belly button" just like Daniel :D I had a g tube when I was little also :)

  • I am adopted and I can say I am so going to when I am ready to be a parent. I know it had to be hard for my parents. I was born with cerebral palsy. You wouldn't know it now only if you look real hard at how I walk. Also I have a lot of spelling and gramer problems. I know you two are wonderful parents I see it each week or so you post new videos. My partner is also adopted his birth family was very abusive mine I do not know that much about I happen to think it is a good thing for me not all.

  • I work in special education, and I've seen lots of kids who are in foster care. I wish there were more families like yours who were willing to give our 'inconvenient' children a real home.

  • @Moriaravenswood i agree we have been doing foster care for about a year now and it is so hard to see only the little kids who just want to be loved :o(

  • the first response i would answer to the question"s" , "there is nothing wrong with daniel, daniel's ..... etc. etc.

  • Thanks for sharing this! You guys are amazing and your family is beautiful!

  • you guys are so awesome and inspirational

  • I would Just LOVE to Visit you guys..!! :) I so seriously am EAGER to meet you guys.. !!! :)

  • hahahhhhaa

  • Omg i just discovered your videos and they are AMAZING!!! I love yal already and this is the first time ive seen yal!

  • Fuck negative people.........wait a minute, does saying that make me negative?....Shit. Seriously though you have the loveliest family and are obviously a couple who share a lot of love, not only for each other but your children too. Everybody deserves to have someone in their lives that they love and who loves them in return and you two are a perfect example, I wish that my family were like yours.

    p.s. I think you're wonderful parents :)

  • Congratulations on your family!I'm sure that your kids are happy and that you are raising them just fine!!!I wish you the best!!

  • i realy love that family !!! wish that family were mine !!!

  • Thanks for posting this. It gives me hope that one day I may have a family too. I wish your family all the luck and happiness :)

  • I've always been in support of gay marriage and adoption. I myself am pansexual, I'm lucky that at least my friends and most of my family understand. Seeing your videos give me hope that others will view these and see that your family is no different. It gives me hope that I may see my friends in Kansas marry and have families. You're even willing to do what most heterosexual couples cannot, dealing with a child that developed differently. Your family is beautiful

  • nice video. Lovely children. Sweet people. You will always have haters because gay is not the norm and people dislike the unfamiliar. But by making this video hopefully gay families become more familiar to people. It would be great if you had your own tv show. The less hate in this world the better :)

  • cute family :p

  • @pRnoStar Why click on the vid then?

  • @pRnoStar You make people sick.

  • Fantastic family; wonderful parents!! I have to admit that although I've always acccepted homosexuality, I didn't ever agree that a homosexual couple should be permitted to adopt (for numerous reasons, which I won't go into). But you've changed my mind completely after this 1st vid! I look forward to seeing the rest of this series; I'm sure there's a lot more to learn!! BTW, do you ever mention in your up-coming vids what you do for work?...(just interested). Brilliant!!!

  • @lukeyboy123able WOW thank you for that...Outside of marriage equality adoption is the cause we spend a lot of time fighting for...Not just adoption rights for GLBT people but for the children who sit in the group homes all around the USA...There are so many kids that need good families to step up and give them love and safety that the sexuality is the least important part for the kids...I am police officer and Bryan is a stay at home father.

  • Do either of you have mothers that are good grandmothers to fill in the mother gap for your kids? Seems like that doesn't really matter as much to me. Maybe when the daughter hits puberty she would want a female to talk to but that seems minor to me. I wish you all a good life :)

  • @BobbyBrady2000 Yes there is a very special grandmother in our kids lifes and the cool thing about being gay men is that LOTS AND LOTS of our friends are females.

  • Don't worry. Your not as bad a video making as I am. I don't even know how to cut parts out!

  • @MrTOPDAWGKILLER Then dont get gay married...You don't have to agree with people to let them be happy. Try and put yourself in our place...What if you fell madly in love with the person of your dreams and the world told you that it wasnt cool and you coulsnt marry them?

  • @MrTOPDAWGKILLER Idk, I mean damn, you were born and well shit. The world now has been planning its own death to get away from shits like you. sooo, Burn in hell, tell me how it goes. Rot. and freakin die, period. P.S. Bring some sunscreen bitch.

  • Whoa whoa wait! Daniels heart is under his armpit? I have heard of his disease before. It's very sad one of my very good friends has it and she used to get picked on. Tell daniel that he is special because god made him a little bit different so he could stand out because he is a special and lucky little boy. I told that to my friend(:

  • Hey Guys! I just want to tell you that you are doing a great job out there maybe better than many "heterosexual" families! and I think that it doesn't matter if you are gay, straight or bisexual to be inspired by you! because you are a great example of what a healthy successful relation should be! and I have to be true with you, that you motivated me to have a family and children more than any other family! so thank you! peace and appreciation!

  • Haha I just saw you on a commercial

  • I can say one thing to you guys....smth I am concerned about the kids - don't spoil them! ;)

  • brian is hot

  • I havent seen the video yet but i know it will be a good one!

Gays and lesbos are so cool!

  • you guys are cool i respect that you guys made it this far together! you guys are perfect parents i can tell!

  • It frustrates me to see the demands placed on you to justify your family, when the love, joy and stability within it are so self-evident. I guess there will always be a few people who will cling to their prejudice, despite the evidence laid out before them, and I really admire your courage in addressing the ignorant comments with confidence and thoughtful responses. For the many families, and intending families out there, your videos are a light on the hill :)

  • Guys, thank you so much for insisting on doing the right thing in spite of all obstacles! Warmest wishes to you and your wonderful children.

  • I freakin' adore your beautiful family -3

  • You guys are so inspirational, and NOT just for gay couples or even gay families. I am a straight woman that probably has no business watching your vids (hee hee) but the truth is, your love and structure of the home and just plain old wholesomeness in raising your children its incredibly beautiful and inspirational. I truly appreciate these videos. It's nice to see that there are still beautiful, caring and kind people left in the world! Thank You! :X

  • @ccsassyfrazz Well I am glad you do watch and thank you for a very sweet comment :O)

  • you guys are fantastic

  • I'd much much rather see you two on Logo than some of their other stuff

  • Jay and Brian, You both and your kids definitely inspire and encourage us. As a Single Gay Man, I am definitely inspired and encouraged by your videos. The hateful comments directed towards you guys are totally wrong!!!! When will people get it that there is nothing wrong with being gay. I am so glad that Daniel is doing as well as he is. Selena and Daniel are definitely blessed with very loving and wonderful parents in you both.

  • So glad those darling kids are in a loving home with such great dads!

  • Thank you - my partner and I have two children aged 9yrs and 6 yrs who we conceived with a donor and we are also foster carers. We face the judgement and arrogance of many - not only did we bring our own children into a same sex family but we take other people's children into our 'sordid' family as well! I just loved watching and listening to you both talk - your message to heterosexual couples, to adopt/foster themselves is so refreshing - I have said the same thing so many times - thank you

  • @TheMuriels your kids are really close to age as ours...have they had any problems in school? do you live in a conservative or a liberal area?

  • You guys are awesome

  • way better than the mormon videos lol

  • Y'all are amazing. There should be more same sex families doing stuff like this. It'll be a big help to discredit those that create negatives to keep many loving families from adopting. Can't wait to see the rest of your vids. (This is my first.) Your family is adorable!

  • Comment removed

  • so daniel and selena are biological brother and sister?

  • @perpexel same mom diff dads

  • I think your children look very happy and loved. To all of those people who are not enlightened enough to accept you, I feel sorry for them. God bless both you, and good luck with your video series.

  • I think you guys are amazing! Thank you for putting your lives out there and educating the world. My wife and I are having our first child and the world needs to know that our family is just like anyone else.

I think your children look very happy and loved. To all of those people who are not enlightened enough to accept you, I feel sorry for them. God bless both you, and good luck with your video series.

  • You are Great parents to these children, best of luck in the future!!!!!!!!!

  • Good for you, you´re breaking tabues with this videos. Is very easy to say and to discriminate since a very small and ignorant point of view, without thinking and making as a priority what should be the first thing in our "critics": the children and what is best for them... love. Hope your kids are good, big hug for you all.

  • Regardless of anyones condition, they still have feelings. I am so glad these kids have excellent parents. BTW, Daniel reminds me of Sontard from the Shaytards, lol

  • The kids are sooo.. cute...

  • Children that are loved for who they are is the issue, not who is loving them! Kuddos to those who love the orphaned, abused, neglected, medically challenged, unwanted or forgotten children of others! Be it Gay or Straight love knows no gender, it simply is. And therefore you simply are their parents.

  • A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!

  • Are you worried that your kids could miss a female influence while raising. Do you try actively to give them this experience (like having the grandmother or so around).

I just heard about children of single-parents who are missing the other parent-part while developing their personality. But I don´t know if their even notice sutch a "gab" when the family is kind of complete.

  • @Amorverde90 My parents were male and female and they were a total mess. I'd much rather be raised by one or the other or two dads or two mom's. Men and women don't understand each other.

  • I LOVE the fact that there are 1,287 likes, 39 dislikes...shows that we are actually progressing but there is still a lot of work to be done! Keep on educating and uplifting your family- my heart is warmed to see the great things you are doing. There is hope!

  • No, I disagree! As long as you have two parents who love thier kids, take care of them, and provide for them are thier parents. It doesn't have to be a man AND woman. You guys are awesome for adopting. <3

  • 2nd part- Cuz obviously they arent going to help these kids. Sorry, ignorant ppl like that irritate me.

  • I feel kinda dorky bc now that I added you guys on fb I know that you guys might notice that I end up "liking" like every single one of your videos. lol. Since I'm new to watching your channel I'm goin thru them so it seems like its happening all the time. lol. On a serious note though. I just dont get how ppl can say those kinda things about gay parents adopting when they dont know what goes on when a kid is in the system or simply doest care as long as it fits their beliefs.

  • beautiful family :D

  • More power to you both. You may not think so, but you are both very courageous. You make GLBT people feel very proud.

  • God bless you both and all you're beautiful family, you're an inspired couple, I mean it. Great Job!

  • I am a straight 16 year old guy, and I can say you guys are awesome. Those kids look real happy to be with their "dads." Congrats to you guys. (=

  • Awwwwwwwwwww, you guys rock ^w^

  • So happy that I found your channel and am looking forward to watching many more of your videos. Being a good parent is hard -- no matter what your sexual orientation -- and it looks like there's a whole lot of love in your house!

  • hey you guys I just came across your video & I just wanted to show my love & support for you guys as a couple & a family! I love how you guys are staying true to yourselves & being who you are!!! You guys are an inspiration to me!

  • Hi Jay and Bryan. Thanks so much for the videos. I just recently started watching them and they really help put things into perspective.

The cause of Goldenhar syndrome is still largely unknown, although believed to be multifactorial. I've seen many children with this syndrome, and trust me Daniel is doing very well. In fact both of them look happy so I'm pretty sure you guys are doing a great job being parents.

Keep these videos coming. Thank you so much. =)

  • @angeldemon97 u mad bra?

  • @NinjaOfTheDarkz im not even gonna respond to that...and i apologize for my language towards you, but SERIOUSLY, i have REASONS to be offended to that comment -_-

  • @angeldemon97 now im not a homophobe its just WTF dude a gay family thats to far i mean just imagine how the kids might feel when there older imagine the shit that would happen at school O.O

  • @NinjaOfTheDarkz actually, i have lesbian parents myself, and i have never, ever been confused about the situation, even as a toddler. it normally comes completely natural to us, so i dont understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to teaching children about gay stuff: it's a completely natural part of life. also, it might be just because of the place im growing up in, but i have never once been teased by having two moms in my entire life. and odds are, i never will.

  • @NinjaOfTheDarkz and once again, im very sorry for my mean language.

  • @depfox ... you guys are wonderful.. the story of your son Daniel brought tears to my eye.. i am really glad that he found the best parents in both of you... i wish your family the very best for years to come.
