-He has created the Heavens and the Earth for Truth. He wraps the night up in the day, and wraps the day up in the night. (Qur'an, 39:5)
The Arabic word which is translated as "to wrap" in the above verse is "takwir."..which means round!
-while in the 14 century anyone in europe who said that the world is round was burned alive!

our planet is nothing special in the universe.

seccond:the only scholar who knew that the earth is round was abureihan biruni who was a persian scholar.
at that time persian scholars had false admiration of islam just to get their works published. just like today in iran, i know a poet who wanted to publish his work and wrote some admiration of islam,i asked him what are these for he said: just to get my book published.
