Under the rules of the system they were entitled to claim, and didn't break any law, although some could be accused of fraud (by accident, or design). How exactly are we going to lock-up MP's if they haven't broken UK law? They may have acted in an immoral way (I certainly think), but comments like "lock them-up" are just inflammatory and pointless. The system was wrong and the MP's are responsible for that.

What has happened to comon decency and respect? We elected these people, and yes they have made a mistake but now they are now paying the costs. Just because they have read an incredibley one sided arguement from the Telegraph does not give that audience to act like a pack of animals. Its so easy to point the finger, but when you look further into it the only thing to blame is the archaic expenses system itself - not any individual Members of Parliament.

HI from Germany,! Politicians are the same all over the world, may some of them have started with a good cause, the stronger they get, the more they have to sell their soul to the industry.
It doesnt matter what party is in front, its the industriy, their media,and system deciding what you have to believe and do. you just have to function, shut up, don`t think and consume. Change is not coming from party politic, if that would be so, it would be forbidden! only the people can change the system!

It sounds like MP's have been taking advantage of this inadequate expenses system for a while, and known what they were doing all along. We elect these people to look out for the interests of this country, NOT the interests of themselves.
A full independant enquiry should take place, including the police, and everyone found guilty should be saked along with gaining a criminal record, forget this "i'l pay the money back" shit. If we stole money from work we'd be saked instantly.

Hardly a fuss over nothing. It's now obvious that many MPs have had their hands in the till for years now - taking our taxpayers' money, let's not forget - to fund lavish lifestyles rather than to recoup out-of-pocket expenditure incurred solely while carrying out their duties.
The 'it's all within the rules' and 'I made an honest mistake' garbage that most of those who have been exposed have trotted out shows how out of touch they are and how stupid they all think we are.

I think everyone should make the june election a vote of 'who can we trust' rather than a vote for a party. We really can't trust any of the 2 major parties, they are as corrupt as each other. Stay at home in June or vote monster raving luny party. I don't agree with the rasist side to BNP but i do think we should be out of the EU so i am very tempted on that one issue.

ME and MY SELF are NOT the same, they are just mistakenly thought/believed to be.
Themselves implies the SELF is ME, which it is NOT.
'ME' is what I am before my SELF/personality forms (my god given character/individuality). It is only through my FALSE attachment to My Self/personality, that I in time FALSELY think/believe it is 'ME'.

Is it YOU/ME that thinks it is not right, or are you merely listening to the thoughts (SELF expression) in your head that are telling you it is not right.
Most people are slaves to their SELF/Emotions, until of course they are NOT.
And in that respect I suppose the politicians, in their show of lack of SELF discipline/control (in stealing/being corrupted) are NO different to the majority of society.
