  • They are 2 Liam is 1. The Prodigy was ahead of their time and they still are.

  • reading the bullshit comments from a certain individual below, I just had to go view their profile and check their age (28) which would mean that while we were out having the time of our lives and behaving like complete maniacs during the summer of love (or should that be summer of dove) he would have been about 6, SORRY KID BUT YOU MISSED THE PARTY, IS THAT WHY YOU ARE SO BITTER?, Big shout to all the cheezey quavers 89-93, didn't we have some fucking fun kids.... some fucking fun indeed!

  • @FranticLes Thats strange. I could'nt help myself but look also and I came across some of his comments. Of the ones that were not racist or anti jew jibes and pretty much all of which were abusive, I came across one that has him lecturing folk on how to stay young looking and healthy. He claimed to be in his 40's and still shagging 18 year olds. This gave me all the confidence that I needed in his opinion.

  • Very good dancing there, I still love this stuff, tremendous buzz :)

  • Oh-year!!!!!

  • who wasn't there cannot understand shit of what the whole stuff meant...

  • Saffron, hold tight! Jeees, that's young Saff right there! :) I'd sell a part of my body to get back in time there. :)

  • amazing!

  • FUCK ME MATT JARRET XXXXXXXX

  • I can't believe how incredible Matt Jarret is in this.

  • the dancer is my brother in law the one in the white n blue diff class go matt

  • DAMN those two guys are WILD at dancing they inspired me to learn all those mpoves, but can someone help me find anhy of these songs used? especiallly that first song or beat used, id like toknow bery badl;y!

  • a was there that night in brixton 808 state played to and a think nexus 21 i cant rember much from those bays :)

  • IM SORRY BUT IF YOU WERENT AROUND THEN TO EXPERENCE THE MUSIC AND HOW ORIGINAL N-JOI WERE FOR THA TIME THEN2 BE FAIR YOU HAVENT GOT A CLUE, COS THEY WERE FANTASTIC , SO WAS SHADES OF RHYTM, & THE PRODIGY

  • This is giving me a headache. It's OK 4 a few seconds, then the repetition shows these clowns have no talent or ideas.

  • @HornSpeakersRGarbage

    1. These guys are playing it in 1989.

    2. They're playing it LIVE.

    3. That's electronic music FFS.

Dude, tell The Prodigy they're repetitive clowns. Saying so just makes you look bad. Repetitive music may not be to your taste, but it is to mine and to millions of other people.

  • @theeltea 1) The date is not an excuse 4 the song sucking. 2) Playing live is not an excuse 4 sucking. 3) The fact it is electronic (as if I am 2 dumb 2 notice this) is no excuse 4 it sucking.

U R just trolling. Good luck with that. This krap is OK 4 a few seconds, then it' just gives U a fuking headache - typical zero-talent metronome fag noise..

  • @HornSpeakersRGarbage Oh the song is mighty fine in my book, dude... And trust me, DATE does matter. And these guys gathered stadiums, just so you know.

You do know what a metronome is? What else do you know of the musical hardware of the day?

Go and listen to N-Joi's anthem and tell me they lack talent.

And yes, playing electronic music live in 1989 isn't playing via Ableton and its controllers in 2012.

  • @theeltea This music is absolute krap - totally annoying. U do not actually like it. U just pretend 2, 2 B a pest - same way hood rats (blax) pretend 2 like rap. It's sonic dog poop, & U fling it around, acting like U adore the taste of krap, because U think it makes U appear 'sassy' & 'independent' - like master of some deadbrain clique nobody cares about.

U R insane. U only make yourself sound more retarded with every word, like watching a wolf eat it's own legs..Get a life, clown.

  • @HornSpeakersRGarbage I've not only been listening to, I've been making such music since 1996... I've got all sorts of vintage gear, including 303's and JX'es... I suggest we end this pointless discussion.

  • @HornSpeakersRGarbage Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha why do people come on and watch videos on things they dont like and try and tell the people who absolutely love it that its crap. You my friend are an idiot no one cares what you think. Have a nice day hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @TheLeekyFeeder Type all you like, but nothing you can say will change the fact that this is bad music - totally unimaginative, annoying, talentless throwaway noise. It's unfortunate that instead of listening 2 some real music, U choose 2 waste your time trolling me, as if magically who or what U pretend 2 think I am will make this music sound N E better than the krap it is.

I suggest U get a life, some real friends, or both. I have nothing 2 do with this music suking.

  • @HornSpeakersRGarbage Mate, I suggest you actually take the time to learn who these guys actally are before bradcasting that kind of opinion. Like it or not, this is actually historically signifficant music that you are listening to that influenced the likes of Liam Howlett to make music. It is quite apparent that you had absolutely nothing to do with this scene back then. Crap is spelled with a "C" by the way.

  • @wrestle259 Trolling me won't change the fact this song is boring krap. U only make yourself sound deaf, retarded, & gay when U pretend 2 like it. It does not make U seem sassy or kool - just lame as fuk. Go on with your "I love the taste of a dog poop sandwich" insanity.

  • @HornSpeakersRGarbage I do appreciate that everyone is entitled to their opinion and that this is not necessarily to you're taste. Mate I dont pretend to like anything. I was there and actively involved with this scene in the 90's and appreciate this for what it is. I suggest that you actually learn something about what you feel you have to comment on. You dont really have any constructive argument to justify you're opinion so you get abusive. You sound like a smart lad.

  • @wrestle259 I am not your friend, or 'chat buddy'. I do not read your troll krap. This isn't a debate. U R just wasting your life making a jackass of yourself pretending U adore the taste of sewage on toast. U think it's 'clever' 2 pretend U R deaf & lame. This is boring music. There is no beat, just a metrinome, & way 2 repetitious. It's good 4 a few seconds, then is just annoying. U do not actually believe N E of the krap U spew. U R just trying 2 B a pest. I suggest U get a life.

  • Thanks for the advice. I'm sure the people on here reading this will agree with you. You're profile has been viewed 808 times by the way if that means anything to you lol Fucking ironic

  • @wrestle259 I C U typing a bunch of $hit, but all U R saying is "I do so adore dog poo on toast. It satisfies my tummy. MMMM I love the taste of butt brownies! The stink is so very divine." Go on, clown - do your troll dance. This music is boring, annoying krap. It has nothing 2 do with me. They made it krap all by themselves. U R not fuking deaf, freak.

  • This just makes me want to GET THE FUCKIN PILLS into me again after so many years.

  • I defy anyone to direct me to a better compilation of music/video 8:20 long anywhere on the net. I know it has been said before, but unless you were about at the time these tunes were being produced, there is no way they can give the same emotive feeling. It depresses me thinking about the shit that is produced today.

  • This vid is from a programme on CH4 that showed the whole gig...the shamen also appeared amongst other acts,,,bloody years ago tho I videod it so tells you how long..And everyones right Matt was an amazing dancer!!! Poetry in motion. Good ol' days.

  • N-joi will Be playing at Moondance on NYE in London. Matt Jarrett the dancer will be performing too. N-joi have reformed as the original line up.

  • Massive respect to the N-Joi dancer in the white hat- THAT'S a raver, through and through!! Quality moves- I can still dance like that, and I'm COMPELLED to put up a video to prove it!! hahaha! Peace.

  • Put it up then mate, this guy matt could dance.

  • This geezer reminds me of the very first raver I ever saw, in my local nightclub. I was on the dance floor, in chino's (I was 16, and thought that smart shirt and chino's looked the dog'd at the time!), towards the start of '91- when some bloke, dressed almost exactly as the Njoi dude, was dancing in this completely new way- I stood there, opened mouthed, absolutely transfixed! The chino's were never worn again. I'm going to have to put the video up, once I've got a camera sorted!!!

  • This brings back great memories, looking for this video for long time, amazing dancer in White hat... He inspired me back in the 90's... Pity we can't get a higher quality video / sound ... Thanks for the great video scottsman :)

  • @maximokit exactly those two motherfuckers are tearin' it up!

  • the njoi dancer has always known the score! His dance moves were totally wot it wa all about at that point! i learnt a lot from him! total respect 2 njoi & i saw em at their height in 1991! "C'MON"!

  • love this vid..whenever i'm feelin shitty..i watch this...always cheers me up...thanx mad scotsman xx

  • No probs m8...It's still the best lot of tunes i've heard...those guys knew how to make techno.....

  • @MadScotsman1 got slagged 4 playn this stuff in the 90s,got grief off ma wife 4 still playn it,n ma 16 daughter disny understand the origins of TECHNO GANGSTERS.....COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MadScotsman1 Would really like to get the full set on video. Best UK techno band ever.

  • never seen this before, somehow n-joi escaped me. The dancers look great, i can see how The Prodigy were probably inspired by them. I can't believe how fresh the music sounds as i always thought this type of tune was more 91 so ahaead of it's time. thanks for uploading.

  • @samgub definately seein how this influenced the prodigy

  • hard to believe they were bigger than the prodigy at one point. its a pitty prodigy with all their sample filled bollocks became more popular. would love to see these boys come back.

  • Oh man, takes me back.

  • sorry mate thought it was saffron,as for the tool thing its alright wording it but saying it to someones face is different, get a grip on life and treat people replying on youtube with respect..

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting theyre already calling it Hardcore in '89...didnt think that trend started off until at least the end of 1990

  • If it wasn't for the real 'E' back in the late '80s, none of this would ever have happened.

Give praise to the m.d.m.a. It showed mankind how to live.

  • fuck I used to dance to this song back in the days, dam I cant believe this sheet still around, one of the best dance songs of all time

  • we have freestyle/disco and street competitions so what about techno and rave dance. where has that got to? And who could teach us? Wheres zing or matt or whatever his name is?

  • o i, manchester in the fkin place come on...mint times...

  • very nice video :) keep it up!

  • always thought the dancer for njoi was amazing not as good as keith from prodigy but used to get some buzz of him, classic footage. amazing memories.

  • wooow sweet vid man, didnt know N-Joi went back tht fare, i thought they came about around 92 - 93 era.

  • The Prodigy OWE THESE GUYS A LOT OF MONEY!

  • But there's no comparison! It's just a shame that N-Joi never took off in the same way that the Prodigy did after the initial hardcore explosion of the early 90s... but they're still doing they're thang :)
