people should realize that it is hard to speak another language.he translates the question in French,thinks the response in French then translates it in English in short time.It is not easy,I know because its my situation too.some words do not mean the same in either language or have different power.So,guys be tolerant.He is making the effort to speak English.

I love Laurent, his view on life and dancing is very free. He contradicts himself at one point - 1:00 he says he loves to feel special, part of the reason why he wears his clothes that way. Doesn't wanna be like everybody. But at 11:00 he says he doesn't try to be special.

Regardless, nice interview, and thanks for bringing it to us!

@peetrdam I think it's different subject.the first at 1:00 is for the look,the clothing;he doesn't want to dress like every1 else and at 11:00 it concerns the dance,the moves;he doesn't care if ppl copy his moves and doesn't think he is special or above everybody.He is French and struggles to find the right word when talking in English.Their interviews in French are much more precise and very thoughtful.

It seems to me like he's trying to say that he realized that since everyone is trying to be special, trying to be special will simply make u like everyone else so it's best to just be yourself because u as a person are already a unique individual. Trying to be special is not what makes u special but rather being yourself is what makes u special:)

This was probably his most personal interview to date. @Dancer21, it is always a unique experience to interview an entertainer when English is not their first language. We always have the opportunity to teach and learn. When Laurent was describing the persona of Japanese when they admire a more talented peron, the word he was searching for was "idolize". I thought that was a great moment in the interview. Good job.

Find someone who speaks French and English (if you don't know anyone, maybe you can find someone on Craigslist) who can sit the interview with you to translate. And since you seem to be a good interviewer, in that you let the interviewee do most of the talking, it'll probably go well.
