I have Same R4 Card , and when i bought it sum1 gaved me softwares, and my sis deleted all things from card. and now i dunno what soft need to instal X.X i tryed toons of kenels and _DS_ menus and YSmenus and still dont work ... i get error menu? ... and i installed TTMenu and works ,but screen is broken and menu looks like DSi but kinda broken with many colors... >.> can some1 help me please >.> just pm me thanks >.>

I was like fuck this piece of shit r4 and instead bought the acekard 2i and its perfect, works for all games and even new games coming out. and the cart also has a spring loaded reciever for the micro sd. if i were you just get the acekard 2i so you wont have to deal with this bs.

its cuz u downloaded the kernal for the real r4 the original but if u download the kernel for sdhc it will work cuz u see theres two types of kernels one is for the real one and one for the remade one u need the remmade one so type on google r4 sdhc kernel or something like that dowload that and it should work hope this helps!!

All you do is go to the website provided by the box and copy the firmware files onto the SDHC.

Create a games folder and them paste in your .nds roms.

I screamed at my kids coz i thought they broke them, gave the exposed curcuit board a careful clean and it worked!! It might not fix it but it is worth a try!! I got it working, the R4 was using the R4 pro firmware, the R4 itself didn't look like a R4 pro at all.

get the micro sd card out from R4. start your DS with R4 sdhc but no memorycard in it. Now insert your memory card into it and try starting again. Should work now

Have the R4 SDHC with an 8gb . Had problems and tried everything. Then did 2 things. Format it by right clicking on in it and clicking Format. DOn't change settings just click start. Then install Kernal 1.25. If website won't load keep refreshing. It works eventually. Second thing I did was push the 8gb firmly into R4 SDHC. Maybe contacts weren't together properly. 8gb works fine now. If it works for you let us know

actually, i watched a video earlier comparing a DSTT and an R4SDHC (which all R4SDHCs are 'fake' even if they still work... the real R4 team never released a card with SDHC support), and the video maker used a 1GB card in the SDHC and it loaded fine.

ok lets see if this helps.ther are 2 types of r4s. r4 and the r4 sdhc. r4 can hold up two

2gb and the sdhc can hold up to 32gb.but the sdhc can run on the sdhc card that are better for some way but a flaw is that you can only usully find cards up two 8gb.and that you must find a diffrent kind of advanced firmware to use the sdhc cards on the r4 sdhc,and the new r4 isnt made by the original makers of the r4.i have a regular r4 and its awsome so yeah i dont trust the new one.hope i helped.

naw the original R4 only works with micro sd cards up to 2gb, you need the one this guy has which is the "R4 SDHC" to be able to use micro sdhc cards up to 32gb.

Bought 8GB SDHC and wouldn't work with new kernal 1.23 - had loading prob. What did work though was using the 1.21 kernel, as highlighted in other utube video! Thought I had wasted £32, but now delighted.

R4-III is not fake. I have it working without a problem!!!!!! SDHC 4GB card!!! Just dont copy system and moonshl etc from another card. You can copy just the .nds files over but oy need to install the firmware and system stuff fresh.

The problem might be that you are using and older DS, which may not be able to recognize HC chips and freezes or the firmware is bugged and needs to be updated. It's possible to label a the regular R4 With the RD HCSD. That would cause problems when loading a HCSD card in a R4 that can't handle it, I tried it once on my regular R4. I put a bigger GB SD card in it and it froze when loading, just like this guy in the video did.

Peel back the sticker to see if it is fake.

The reason none of your faked R4's are not working is 'cause you're not using the firmware from the website on the box, which is an immitation of the proper R4 kernel, if you get the kernel off that site it will work, as I have proof of FOUR R4's working with 2GB MicroSD cards. You have to update the firmware with the one you find on r4sdhc com (btw, I had this same problem with the original R4 when writing the firmware from linux, don't know why).

This is probably fake, yeah, but works for me (except for losing scummvm configuration if I choose "quit" from the main menu - I have to switch off the DS). I just hope it won't *brick* my ds, as I have heard it could happen with cards such as N5.
