  • @GreenGoodsThatWork @GreenGoodsThatWork The RotoVac runs about $3,000 complete. I'd stay away from small appliance type units as they can get the carpet wet, but lacks the power to get that water back out.

  • You don't need a truckmount with a rotovac unless you wanna do some real nasty tile work and need the psi. Chems and agitation does 90% of the work and nothing agitates more than a rotovac.

  • Let me show you, what my tank looks like after I clean up after your portable with my rotovac 360i and truckmount.. hmmm

  • @iceship1 Wouldn't doubt that you'd get even more dirt out in less time. A 360i and truckmount are on my short list of future equipment.

  • @iceship1 And let me show you as a house owner the rats and the pests that came in after you left. no thanks for truck mounts. I got a nice 500psi machine would work just as great as your truck mount and at the same time I would not have any complaints about rats after the job.

  • @1234fecri The machine I was using was a portable unit so no doors are left open. JonDon sells door protectors/jams to close off the door openings.

  • i would like to know if your machine recovery tank was 100% clean before you cleaned this carpet or if this was a brand new machine because there very well could be a build up of other dirty carpet cleaning jobs ran through this machine prior to this vidoe

  • @r3dart0420 I always clean the recovery tank after every job. Leaving even a little skanky water in there for one or two hot days can make it reek when you run it. I also use a couple different tank deodorizers to help condition the tank for odors.

  • @areasbestonline Hey, perhaps I suggest you can put vinegar in the tank to clean after use. it would help to kill lot of dirty in the tank.

  • and $3000 vs. $450 ! I've seen carpets removed from rental units that had a layers of dirt from yers of traffic UNDER the pad! I don't care how many times you clean it ... you'll still get dirty water in your tank in that situation.

  • @SandDuneProperties No machine will ever get the dirt from underneath the pad, its just not possible. Anything on the topside of the carpet you can clean thoroughly, including into the backing. The RotoVac does a fantastic job of agitating into the carpet.

But $3,000 vs $450? Are you throwing the RotoVac and extractor away after every use? I've had my machine for 3 years now and have cleaned TONS of carpets.

  • I think the biggest thing with the RotoVac is that it is agitating the carpet. You wouldn't think of vacumming carpet without a "beater-bar"...same applies here. The way the RotoVac works is you have two counter-rotating heads, each with three spray heads and three vacum heads. You're getting 1,500 counter rotating passes per minute. It's working great for me and I can ALWAYS tell when someone has used a DIY carpet machine because of all the soap left in the carpet.

  • not only all the soap left in the carpet but the dirt will cling to the residue of the soap and the carpet will appear dirty twice as fast

  • thats cuz whoever tried to clean those carpets in the first place did a shitty job...it has very little to nothing to do with the quality of the operating unit aka the rug doctor!! check your facts there JACK!!!

  • @cannapiss420 It has everything to do with the unit. A Rug Doctor has about 50psi pump, superior portables have 600psi water pumps, plus 3 3-stage vacuums, a rug doctor has 1 small diy vacuum. Think before you post.

  • @luxiguy it has everything to do with unit and opperator i have cleaned with rug dr. truckmounted and industrial portable units and have come out with the same great results as a professional uft and cct
