surely you're retarded. It is no longer necessary to use electrodes to monitor brain function at a distance. After Delgado's experiments in the 1950s, began to use a model for EEG biometrics at a distance that allows the individuation and activation of mental functions to different individuals, and distance, without electrodes. Details are on this site that deals with the physical control of the mind so scientific and objective. sites.google.com/site/controlemental
The idea for the arrows and to use mind control in humanoid robotics (Honda did copy my idea for Asimo) , or to move the cursor of the mouse in the computer were mine... now watch this... if you use the squared screen with augmented reality in your cell phone or eye glasses... then you will be able to do more... I have even more ideas to implement... but this is for later... you can watch my website with the most complete Humanoid Robot list in the World in the mean time...
he's just trying to lift it ,,but he doesn't visualize it being lifted,, or something,, its difficult cause your mind doesn't do that every day, thats why it seems hard
@jbattley This is a myth; it was made to avoid jamming the hammers when typing at higher speeds. Think about it, which makes more sense: intentionally slowing down typists so that mechanical failures don't occur, or moving keys to positions that avoid this from happening even when typing at speed?
Just give it 5 years and a lot of sales, they will certainly improve it to the point where you will be able to do millimetric precise tasks like a sketch.
Video games like Halo and Crysis will be an easy task for it.
And I am not talking about this weird helmet, just a little one-ear wireless head-phone which extends behind the ear will be enough to recognize the brain patterns.
Give it bluetooth, and you will control all your house / work devices with it.
The object of this is to not be faster than a mouse and keyboard it is a new way to play games and use a computer. If you don't think this is one of the coolest things ever you can go away :D
In a good amount of time it might be you never know. We went from writing to typewriters to keyboards, back in those days they probably thought the functionality of the new technology wouldn't improve over the original stuff.
It depends on the era we live in, a child born to this type of technology learning and expert on how to use his brain as a medium for technology would be a lot better (If the technology accepts it) than we would. Generations progress, as do race.
"back in those days they probably thought the functionality of the new technology wouldn't improve over the original stuff" Um it still hasn't. at least in your writing to typing to keyboards example. The qwerty design was made because secretaries were becoming too quick for type writers. They'd break the machines, out performing them with uber 1337 typing skizzles. So the more difficult qwerty design was made. For some reason we still use this despite the fact that technology is better now.
The "qwerty" pattern we know and love was not designed to slow down typists, but to move commonly used letters, and letter sequences, far apart, so that the likelihood of two of the typewriter keys mangling each other (breaking, or at least damaging, the typewriter,) was severely reduced. When computers with keyboards came about, there was a changeover period between typewriters and computers, so to avoid confusion with typists changing equipment, they kept the pattern.
@hazonku This is a common misconception; the design was *not* made to slow typists down - it was made to avoid mechanical key clash to allow for higher typing speeds without jamming.
i'm a musician and a gamer. my lvls of concentration are through the roof! this device should come naturally to me. you just have to retrain your brain to believe that you are literally in the matrix. it will take practice as with anything, but it will be worth it!

Qwerty was actually created to slow typing down. People were typing to fast on old typewriters and jamming the hammers.

Even if it did work, would you see this as a faster interface than a normal keyboard and mouse? Probably not.
I can imagine that it'll be great for people whom have lost their hands or who have their hands tied up in their work.

Qwerty is a very innefficent keyboard Design a lot better compared to the old original type writer design but still not good.
Its only reason for existance is because so many people have gotten used too it a mass change would slow down a lot of progress
especially for programmers and major corporations that rely on fast writers.
After a while a new input for computers could possibly emerge changing things completely. Easier or not its very possible.
HRJinxX 2 years ago
