  • Amazing ride, especially given the 4-month timeframe for learnign these movements - so correct and such harmony! This is where classical and competitive dressage come together (seldom seen). Nice interpretation of the music, too, which suits the horse.

  • It was my great pleasure to do still photos of him years ago. (Not really stills because they wanted a shot with all 4 feet off the ground.) He was beautifull even in photographs (yes we captured it multiple times). Of all the horses I photographed, I only remember the names of a few. Smokey was always at the top of the list. Thank you Smokey, you are missed by many.

  • Gotta say it's nice to see a horse using his hind end! Too many horses out there dragging their hind legs along for the ride, and the judges appear to like it! Here's a horse who is doing it correctly- I hope you two were rewarded for it. Sorry he's gone.

  • He has gorgeous movement...and those changes on the circle in canter... WOW!

  • My "non-qualified" opinion is that his walk pirouettes and canter departs are outstanding. The first canter pirouette is exemplary. Flying changes are clean (changing behind) and straight. Good extended canter (in terms of max extension w/ Lipizzan conformation) without being hurried. Good transitions throughout. Excellent work doing tempe changes on 20 m circle - not so easy to do. Soul stirring halt.
