I live quite close to shingle hall an whenever I walk past it I get goosebumps and once a shadowy figure walked in front of the door and seemed to disappear into thin air!!!!!!!

Ive heard the original recording and seen the analysis from m/cr uni they could not reproduce the sound makes the hairs stand up on your neck.....The last screams r peoples reaction to the loud Scream...

I've stayed in the hall scores of times. Its not active anymore as the Kirkhams have ruined the old hall by fitting crapets and installing central heating etc. Besides which don't believe everything you read as it's all historically wrong, and half the ghost sightings are fake.

Its the birthplace of saint john wall and there was secret mass went on, there was a whole history of abuse of a young girl call eleanor de singleton who was repeatedly abused from 6 to 18 years old by her uncles eventually dying when she tried to give birth to a child with water on the brain...theres been some quite tragic stories surrounding the place

One of the chilling stories is of a young girl called Elenor who was locked away for years and subjected to rape and torture by her uncle...she died while giving birth....there are many other hauntings beside her though.

I just looked up Chingle Hall because I was reading a article in The Lancashire Evening Post about a video that was made of a ghost. The article includes a bit of the video- interesting stuff. Anyway, in the comments someone mentioned they saw the ghost of a monk at Chingle so yeah, I reckon there are other ghosts there.

I think there is some kind of portal at chingle Hall as there is still so much going on.I stayed there last year and got an absolute fright for 5 hours.The atmosphere is electric...I truly believe now but I didnt then.

sounds like a young woman being scalded all over with boiling water,i say this because that is a scream of excruciating pain and terror.

Was the most haunted house in Britain but it Isn't anymore. The new owners turned it into their home, ruined the atmosphere and the happenings have ben on the decline ever since. The 60s and 70s was when Chingle was at it's most active.

chingle hall is Just north of Preston, in the small village of Goosnargh.....went there for a stop over many many years ago and trust me i belive there is something now....didnt then!!!

I heard this on a tape whilst i did an investigationg there the woman said the first scream is the ghost the other screams are the girls who had heard it.
