  • Looks nice! I made a srcatch built preador tank for ultramarines. Please check it out and tell me what you think!

  • That turned out pretty awesome, well done.

  • @diaperdevil1 £20-£30

  • and the cost? time and effort, and maybe some glue.

about 1% the cost of buying from forgeworld.

  • how much in english £s does it cost?

  • not too fuckin shabby!

  • This is so great it puts my base to shame

  • How can you tube allow pornographic videos of this nature on here. It just dosen't make sense! Insane work! Thanks for sharing ;)

  • @demoniccheesepuff

No, definately a power axe (full size!) :D

  • with ur l33t skills u should make a bolt pistol and a choppa =D

  • @188katana188

I got a rules update from the GW website that is for imperial vehicles, it's a PDF and has the Thunderhawk! :)

The model is such a high points cost though! :(

  • wow that looks great

but is there any way to find out the weaponry of that thing besides the imperial armor vol. 2 book?

everywhere where somebody asks about weapons or special rules, everybody just says "look in imp. armor vol.2 ."

and what if i don't have that shitty book?

    can anyone help me?

  • dude! that looks really good!!!!!!!

  • pretty nice, almostlooks like the real thing, what it cost in total to make?

  • pretty nice, almostlooks like the real thing

  • very nice, im currently trying to build a manta missile destroyer out of plasticard, rather annoying

  • In response to a comment below, I don't think it's POSSIBLE to make a model for 40k "too big." If the crew are in scale, it's fine. I'm working on a pair of Lightnings based on 1/48 F-14As, they're almost as big as a Marauder (~15") but can simply be explained as a heavy starfighter operating in-atmosphere.

Anyways, 90% of players haven't seen a real Thunderhawk (actually bought from FW) and will have no idea as to it's correct size. Like me! Hats off to you, amazing job.

  • @Porty1119 your right

i have got tip 4 sizing a thunderhawk

a land raider needs to fit underneath between the front canards and the rear wings just so u peeps know and it looks to me tht it will so nice work this really is fantastically made @faf26

  • Sniff, whenever i see a thunder hawk i always think of him...*RIP Martellus 42000-42061*

  • How long are the Thunderhawks you made? I want to build my own but I'm not sure how big they actually are.

  • Awsome

  • where can i get plasticcard?

  • i like it love red lights might make an orky vision of this start with the basic part just stick metal plates and rivets on

  • awesome man! it would have benn more awesome if you spoke

  • how much did u spend 2 make em

  • these are probably some of the best scratch built models iv seen on the tube to date. and iv watched a lot of vids on scratch built 40k minis.

  • nice feitz ;p

    grtz freddy :)

  • nice :)

  • nice work .. shame the paintwork aint nearly as good as the build work :L

  • Nice work.

  • WOW AMAZING

  • they could be a bit better but they are great for diy models the look a bit out of scale thats the main thing but i was wondering cause i was going to try to make a titan and i dont know how to do round parts other than with toilet paper and paper towel tubes any one know how to make complex shapes for diy models or should i use plasticard for guns and stuff? and nice job on he painting of those thunderhawks

  • @minipancho94 you could look out for biro pen innards thats what I used to build a vulkan Mega Bolter / also check out Bluetablepaintings work in Progress vids on the warlord they made u can get a lot of ideas from those ! piping makes good heavy gunns and try dollar stores for extras. When it comes to the legs I wanted them to be kinda muscly and didnt want just the metal pipe I used so I glued some long Sprew leftovers on there looks terrific when painted!

  • will u sell 1 if yes for how much?

  • i thought they were both amazing

  • their the fucking same, dumbass. ones just not painted

  • thats cos its painted otherwise they're identical

  • how much is plasticard?

  • expensive, try to use the plastic from old/inservible credit cards, is the same plastic, i assure you.

  • awesome

  • Nice! Very close to the Forge World versions-any interior detail on them? Liked the way you've got a Land Speeder as the cockpit detail :o) You sure you don't work for GW? lol

  • THAT IS SICKENINGLY GOOD WELL DONE!!!!! keep up the good work! WOW thats good!

  • I gotta know how to make one of those. That would really add to my play.

  • nice chairs thought they were really cool!!!

  • yeah well you know how it is when your a devote painter you`l spill some coffie or soda pop.LOL

  • I was wondering how much does it cost to make one of these?

  • it just cost me about 40 euros.

you need a land speeder and a lot of plasticard.

  • Thanks for replying

  • you also need allot of heavy bolters and whatever you used for a cannon

  • plzz make a video telling us how to make one

  • can u plz send me the instructions on how u built it or better yet can u sell me one of them?

  • i want to know where to make one good job 5/5

  • haha this isnt the run of the mill 12 yr old cardboard crap. Great job!

  • How much for one?

  • I believe about 340 on forgeworld. These things are so damn sexy...

    I NEED one! lol

  • think you could send me your templates? save me a couple 100 dollars for my templars

  • wow what did u use to make

  • beautiful

  • nothing will beat teh stormbirds of pre heresy :P

  • cool, what Ultramarine company do you use, and how many points total?

  • don't you think there just a little to big?

  • awesome

  • how easy is it to paint plasticard?

  • very very easy its just like the plastic miniatures just spray it and then paint it.

  • does it warp?

  • nope! just make sure you construct a good sturdy skeleton in the inside(for when you move it or pick it up.

  • wat bits did u use

  • diffrent things like the back engine of the old vindicator trey finding stuff in your bit box with make you think hee i can use that.i also orderd stuff like the heavy bolters from the razorback and lasc from the predator the battlecannon is a coloring pen the brass colored parts are foto etched model aircraft bits.

  • where'd you get the plasticard from?

  • you can get plasticard at any hardware or model shop, try your local fleisman(model trains) supplyer.

  • cheers man

  • impressive, looks alot like the thunderhawks. if i had the money(which i don't) i'd buy one of them, life is cruel when you have no money...

  • i buy the one for ultramarines off you if intersted contact me

  • that would go great with my ultamainres!

  • Aye. Well scratch built. Might want to turn your hand to building a Ork Battlewagon at some point. Turn to the dark side Marine boy ;)

  • already have turned chaos has me in its grip in fantasy and 40k my friend

    dead to the falls emperor

ork battlewagon i have to remember that thanks

    cheers

  • sell on e-bay for aropund £50-75 a peice(or $125-140 USD)

  • they look really sweet

  • these are like really big

  • how long, how much, and how did u make the gunships

  • one month each,20 euros each, just the pictures in imperial armour volume two and lots of plasticard.

  • do u think u can email the pics in the volume 2

  • just amazing...

  • thats perfect for apacolyps...

  • seriously awesome, I love people who actually know how to scratchbuild.

Most people make crap and call it a titan...

    These thunderhawks are just amazing...

If you can make such a nice flyer, there's no need to buy it at forgeworld.

  • hmmm well i think its great for a project and really until recently thunderhawks are usless in combat so my opinion is tht its great for a project but its not really worth the time to make something practically usless in the game

  • for using it in a game i agree i can`t use it, but it would make a great centerpiece for an army display or diorama, and becouse its made of plasticcard i can hang it up like you would a b-52 model kit.

  • Thats awesome, why buy one from forgeworld when you can have fun making it yourself, unless if you didnt have fun/

  • 1:they cost to much,2: becous i can.

  • I agree with you on both 1,2 and if people like that ass don't like it and wont to spend lord knows how much money in too one of those things thats there right but you made it, it looks great and plus you made something that is hard as hell to make. well aging great Job

  • what a gnumpty why would he go and buy one wich would cost like a hundred pounds when he can make one himself that looks good and is cheaper

  • atrodad dont be such a fuckin douchebag

  • well, just being honest with my opinion as you are with yours when you are replying what you think of me.

  • ok sure the forgeworld one is highly detailed but would you pay 500 euros for a model that you can`t even use in a game and would break many times if you do,no i would rather make one myself or wait for a plastic version.

  • To be honest, Yes I would.

You do know that there are people who also loves to collect and build models rather then just playing the game itself

That not the primary reason why I stated playin w40k but as the models got more detailed and more beutiful I just love to collect and paint em.

  • i love to collect and build the models as well but onlike you i can`t affort the realy big beautyful things from forgeworld i love converting too.its like the baneblade first it whas only availeble from forgeworld now its in plastic.so will be the thunderhawk someday.untill then i`ll stikk to my creatif side.agread?

colecting and converting is my thing.

  • Actually its a matter of piority, if you love the game and collecting and painting enough you will find a way to afford the stuff no matter how expensiv they are.

  • Atrodad, no offence but what you said made no sense. "priority" "you will find a way to afford the stuff no matter how expensiv they are." How do you find a way, maybe you found credit card or a wallet. Anyway, faf26 awesome model, your skills are amazing!! =) I can't wait to see what else you can produce.

  • non taken but oh my god do I really have to break it down to you...its al about chosing one thing before the other.

ex: you could maybe skip those last beers at the club and save money or maybe pick a cheaper way to travel and then use the money to buy things that you love as well as you can do al the other things.

  • I don't drink, I can't afford to waste my time as a drunkard =)

Yes you could save money up for it, but this guy has skills, (That I wish I had =)

  • hehe neither do I, I just used that as an exampel 4 u but if u can think that far you could always imagine something else that you could save upp money through.

well that s a matter of opinion.

  • wow thats great.

  • the blue one actually looks remarkably like the one available from forgeworld. good work.

  • did i spy a part from an old vindicator?

  • yes it is!

  • Good Job, there isen't much diffrence betweejn yours and the forgeworld one.

  • very cool, but i still like my forgeworld ones better =)

  • of cours but thats forgeworld, i like forgeworld too but the price is high,so i got creative.

  • there well cool!!!!

  • Very impressive. One hell of a project. apparently they are bringing out a plastic thunderhawk, but I reckon this is coller as it is so much more effort than buying a plastic or resin kit. It'll probably be cheaper than the plastic kit anyway.

  • the plastic one will be around 100 euros i think, these two just cost me 20 euros each.

  • they are awesome i wish i could make those

  • woow

  • why r they red inside the grey 1

  • that one whas first for my blood angels but i desided to make it for my space wolfs instead.

  • WOW.

  • Now make a warlord titan :D

  • dude!! how did your mates make em?!

  • they didn`t i made them all by my self, and i made them useing the pictures from imperial armour volume two, ther made from plasticcard and bits and peaces i had lying around.

  • u can always buy them from fordge world

  • looks like the ones from forge world

  • dude!!!!! i want onE!!! LOL

  • no these are hand made just ask my friends.

  • dude if your telling the truth than you have a gift that can get you somewere in the future

  • wow man you have serious skills

  • holy shit great job!!!

  • that is one of the coolest 40k things ever

  • If it wasn't for the vindicator plate, I'd think it's an original. :) Keep up the great work.

  • thats awesome!!!

it must have taken a few hours

  • try one whole month,next a titan.
