First Awesome video i like to see people who know the truth not the lies.BTW has anyone else noticed that little dogs tend to have a higher bite rate than big dogs? Also i took the pit-bull challenge and am proud to say i found the APBT on the first try and just want to tell you that the challenge is a little inacurate it has 26 dogs but 6 dogs are repeted and i really can't see anyone confusing a jack russel for a pit so it's 19 dogs on that list but thats still alot of dogs!
Hey, could I download this video? I'm trying to start a program in my area that educates kids my age about APBT's. Or perhaps any other video that is alright for 6th graders? xD
You can post it on ur own website...lots of people who are interested in using my vids for education post them on myspace...or you can use my company site which is pitbulladvocate101. com There you will find a lot of great info including photos and a blog.
PS: I have cats, but I have rescued a couple of Pits, and put them in boarding until I could find them the perfect homes, because having them in my home wouldn't be fair to my cats, and also because I know I couldn't give them the kind of life they deserve. But on both occasions (esp the last one) I WEPT, because I wanted to keep the dog. The last one was the most "scary" looking box-headed boy, with the best sense of humor! Such a clown! I love that boy SO MUCH, to this day.
Right on, I have had pit bulls for over fifteen years. They are extremely loving animals It is humans that train them to be mean, They are not born mean.
Your logic is so bad it's not even funny. Almost all your arguments are logical fallacies.
And you seem to know nothing of the breed's origin.
PIT as in fighting pit, bull as in fighter. They were invented to fight other animals for human entertainment.
I do agree with your general intention and that owners make the dog, but ignoring the breed's temperament is just dangerous. They are naturally agressive and good owners turn them into docile pets. Bad owners only encourage their nature.
Do you even know what the APBTs temperament score is? Or maybe you know how much higher it is than so many other popular breeds that were not "invented to fight other animals"...
I respect everyone's opinion, on a certain level but it is completely exhausting hearing the same crap over and over from people who do not take the time to research the facts before they leave ridiculous comments for everyone to read.
Please get it together so we can have an intelligent conversation. Thanks
When I was 12 I was attacked by a Shepard. This dog would have killed me if I wasn't able to find safety. He was abused and chained. Although I'm fearful of large dogs I don't know, I am more fearful of humans.
Thank you so much for this video. It could not be more true. I believe that if dogs did not have breed names they would just be dogs. The dog doesn't know what breed it is so how does it know it's suppose to be this vicious, baby killing beast? Pit bulls are the smartest, most loyal dogs. I speak from personal experience. I miss my Gixxer so much, he was my best friend. I love pits! People are so ignorant to let the dog's name make the dog. Thank God you are one of the smart ones left out there.
BanPitBulls i take it that your referring to the simpson case where Ellie Lawrenson was killed by the family pitbull? what your missing is that the dog had already attacked her aunt and a nabours jack russel, fact is Ellies dad was a drug dealer, dealers over hear in the UK use dogs as weapons its less risky then carrying a gun! and the dogs ARE TRAINED TO FIGHT (this is irresponsible ownership),
just to confirm some thing for you vicky the dog breed with the highest rate of bites is LABRADOR so all you shit face bastards that want the pit dead piss off its not there fault DONT BLAME THE BREED BLAME THE 1 WITH THE LEAD i train dogs for a living pet dogs and security i know how to get em to bite also how to get them not to bite!!! also 1 in 8 of your police dogs are pit balls stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!!! love ya vicky keep it up babe mgk9
Vicky, with all due respect you claim one expert said this and I claim another said that. The report I read was substantial and accurate, the findings, as with all research is open to interpretation.
The report concluded that pit bull type breeds, when attacking, have a tendency to carry on the attack where most other domestic breeds would simply stop. I think the little girl who died with 70+ bite marks kind of confirms that.
1. Any breed of dog trained to attack will not let go unless they hear a command or a prompt. 2. "Pit Bulls" were originally bred as non-human aggressive dogs and any dog that displayed even minor human aggression was put down by it's owner.
This could go on forever at the rate we are going. All of your points are common misconceptions and until you do extensive research on this subject you will remain blind to the truth.
Media reports are not a credible form of research to gain facts.
By the way, In America an average of 3 kids die each week in non-automobile related car accidents due to their irresponsible parents.
Meaning those parents were 100% responsible for their own child's deaths! Little necks stuck in windows till they choke to death, babies cooked alive after being left alone in cars on sweltering summer days...need I go on?
Put the blame where it belongs, on the careless parents and owners. These deaths don't need to happen. Banning Pit Bulls changes nothing.
BanPitBulls i take it that your referring to the simpson case where Ellie Lawrenson was killed by the family pitbull? what your missing is that the dog had already attacked her aunt and a nabours jack russel, fact is Ellies dad was a drug dealer, dealers over hear in the UK use dogs as weapons its less risky then carrying a gun! and the dogs ARE TRAINED TO FIGHT (this is irresponsible ownership),
Unfortunately these things happen mostly due to irresponsible owners & or parents. It breaks my heart knowing any child has had such a terrible experience. However, I do not believe the murder of my dog or any other well-trained lovable pet would solve the underlying issue here.
Banning "Pit Bulls" does not protect children from attacks by other "legal" breeds. All dogs bite. Any dog in the same weight range as a "Pit Bull" would cause the same damage.
So assuming a family with small children have a pit bull type dog. The dog, like so many others is well cared for, yet it turns on one of the family, even worse, the child, and savages them. Who's to blame? The dog? Or perhaps the parents for allowing their dearly loved one to be so close to an animal whose attacking instinct, one under way, is so different to most other breeds!!
Experts claim that staffies and the like simply don't know when to stop!
1. No that is completely untrue, breed experts claim that these dogs are great with children and there are many examples of this throughout American history...you would know this if you did your research...or watched my videos.
Going with ur example: If a dog of ANY breed were well-trained and cared for properly, well-socialized and all that good stuff, it is so highly unlikely that it would ever "turn on a family member and savage them". These things just don't happen in real life!
2. There are always important facts omitted in these stories...such as neglectful owners and manipulative press trying to spice things up. If 1 dog does a horrible thing that does not mean the rest will too. Here is a quick lesson in science...
Strain of dog is usually a key factor when severe unwarranted aggression comes into play. In this case the dog would be considered unstable as a result of "bad breeding" or genetics, which absolutely does happen, but it happens in ALL breeds of dog
That's not true, at least not in the UK. We have much larger breeds, the Springer Spaniel for one, which is notoriously aggressive and accounts for many of the dog bites in the UK. That said, they are more often than not minor in nature and simply do not compare to the savage nature of a pit bull type dog. Blame the media if you wish, the truth is pit bull type breeds, when attacking, cause immense damage.
As you know I live in the US and am not familiar with your country's dog bite stats, but you are still generalizing an entire breeds behavior based on one report, or 2 or 3, what ever the case may be, you missed my point completely.
If you met a group of cute Italian girls who liked to dance naked on the bar after having 4 martinis would that make all girls who fit that criteria expected of displaying the same behavior? That would be crazy, it would be profiling, that's what BSL is doing.
they still put dog attacs on the news, but they are uassly wild ferral packs of dogs ganging up on kids, not speciafiacally any breed. but a couple of years ago, two dogs they called 'pit bulls' were owned by this young lady and they were always sweet, then one day they got out and almost killed a kid. she was so shocked, she agreed to have the dogs put down. but i'd get a pit bull anyway, seeing how sweet they are.
its not the media and its not that thier listening to the media, its that pitbulls are very loyal and will protect thier home with their lives and that mixed with bad pet owners that shouldn't even be allowed to have pets.
Vicky I love the videos. Only thing I would add is that it is not the dog but the owner that causes any animal to attack. An owner that is vicious to an animal will get viciousness in return. I have seen this in action My neighbor used to own a Pit and he treated that dog horribly, he would starve the dog for days and when I questioned him as to why he said "to make it mean to protect my house." (I called animal control on him for cruelty to animals)
Vicky, all your videos are amazing. It is so sad that people are so ignorant and listen to the media and other ignorant people when it comes to this breeds stereotype. Thanks for all you do. You are truly an inspiration. All of us can spread the word....one person at a time
An Excellent vid, the figures when you show them like that are amazing! thankgod theres nothing like this pending in the UK. There are no bad dogs just bad owners full of ignorance. I lost my trusted friend DEMPSEY last Xmas he was a 15 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, nota pitbull granted but similar, great dog, great temprament and a very sadly missed friend. Pray to God this bill is never accepted.
I love it!!!! Thank You!!! I have had over 10 pit bulls in my life growing up, and they were all incredible. All great with kids and were great companions, I'm trying my best to get another one now. But my landlord of course don't want dogs especially after i would say Pitt Bull. But its all true Pitt Bulls are what u make them!!!!
yet again great video! at least peole like you truly understand dogs. they're not vicious unless provoked.dogs are kind companions searching for someone to love and to love them back.
Great Job AGAIN! I suggest adding links to the sites mentioned to your description, for anyone interested in doing more than just watching your work. Some people might not know what BSL stands for or what it means if their community implements it, so details about it would also be helpful.
Great video of beautiful dogs and suppressed facts! I hope it helps educate people. Please add the links to the web sites featured in your video under your information about the video. That will help spread more information easily.
GREAT JOB! The thing I just loved about the updated video is that you emphasized the fact that there are 30 breeds responsible for the percentage of dog attacks that are blamed soley on the APBT. Thank You for all you do for these beautiful dogs. You truly have been my inspiration for becoming a Pit bull advocate! A+
Thank you so much for that comment. I am glad that my hard work is paying off in the ways that matter most. It's people like you that motivate me to continue down this difficult path. I never thought I would effect so many people the way that I have...It's wonderful.

The pitbull dragged the child to the floor and around the room and bit her continuously.
A consultant pathologist later counted 72 bite marks on the child's body, 22 of them to her head and neck.
