I've been thinking of buying an Atomic 300 but i've been warned away from them because of the power consumption especially on the blinder (which happens to be what i want it for), Have you had any problems running it off a standard plug socket along with other lighting? (i know you can set it to half power using the dip switches)
In fact i have not, i have been running it NOT on the low power setting with 3 scx500's 2 dj spot 250's 2 T-REX's and with sound all into one outlet, to me i find it amazing it dose not blow it but i have had no problems and it is a great fixture.
I'm really tempted to get one, but it just seems hard to bring myself to spend that much on just a strobe, The blinder function on it looks amazing though, especially when dimmed and faded in
Heres a tip - with your moving heads you should localize - set the maximum pan and tilt values so the light is going more in the direction of the audience of the audience. you do that in the lighting controller you use. Also what is really cool is if you invert the pan on one of the movers so it goes in the opposite direction of the other.
This was taken a long time ago, when i did not have as much knowlage as i do now. I do everything dmx now and i dont need to invert pan/ tilt ,but thanks for the tip anyways.

There is a setting for it on the dip switch or lcd display read the manual and it should say how to.
