hey, when you painted the pot and the leaves, for blending the colors and layering, did you wait until the bottom layer is dried completely or half dried so you can still blend the colors together?
Beautifully done. I have trouble keeping the paints wet enough to blend but you are a master. I hadn't realised it took so many colours to paint a red flower!! : )
LOVE your work! Just wondering what you are painting on? is that canvas that you have painted black? Thanks for sharing your inspiring and beautiful art with us.
@leannekiya Buy good paint... most people buy Liquitex basics, and that is why... the pigment content of the basics series is quite low so it tends to not mix that well... try using the professional series of liquitex... is not that expensive and it works really well... also buy mediums 1 gloss and 1 matte... try them out... play in your painting with gloss background and matte objects or viceversa... also mixing the colors well is critical... a piece of glass and a putty knife works great....
im going to send this to my art teacher!! this is a great video for teaching. it really shows how to build up layers and how easy it is to create a realist affect. this is awesome you have great talent!
I cried several times watching these videos. These are amazing.

Beautiful painting. How did you get your paint to blend so well? Mine paintings end up looking cartoony when i try.
