it would be ok if there wouldn't be things like winter, wind, bad weather, lugage, family trip, small children, elderly etc.
But there is posibility of combining cars and bikes. Like in recent VW, BMW, Nissan studies. You can also google Eco Car, a swiss interpretation of economical car. Very cool solution, although pretty expencive at the moment.
Battery technology has not kept pace with other automotive developments. New cars today still have Edison's lead acid battery design of 1903. Does that make any sense?
As you watch this video, China is buying up a majority of the worlds oil. They are cutting deals in South America and building a pipeline from Russia. Doesnt matter what we do. China is going to burn all of that oil we plan to conserve with new tech cars by ten fold.
If ONLY we were headed for world war. At least we'd have a true purpose again instead of chasing phantoms of mass destruction and fighting illegal and undeclared wars against an enemy we know not whom in the name of the New World order.
"A quarter (25%) of all the petroleum ever consumed in the history of the world _was consumed in the last 10 years."_ Our need for oil accelerates every year. Do we stop when it's gone?
Offshore drilling of 200,000 barrels a day in another 10 years is going to matter? It's a drop of oil in a barrel. George Bush sells snake oil. It will never make an appreciable difference in gas price or oil quantity. We need to get off of oil sooner than later and stop feeding our addiction now.
ya i know, and Bush keeps telling his citizens they are addicted to oil, yet he never seems to make a movie to change that addiction. Really sad. But what im happy about is all the new hybrid cars coming out which, at least for me, gives me a bit of hope:)
why buy a hybrid, i can sell you a gas version that get 44 miles to the gallon.
you will pay 6000 more for the hybrid i will use the same 6000 to by gas and drive for free. you loose the auto maker wins
and is laughing his ass of behind your back. the oil company will also laugh because the hybrid will only get 35 miles to the gallon. and if you removed the engine and gas tank and replace it with an equal weight lead acid battery you could drive for 8 cents a day. you thought bush was dumb?
hmm well the point of a hybrid is to be used in the city, not cross country. Although that is one of the larger downfalls of any hybrid car, it is a start. Of course i have yet to determine whether hybrids in general are good and if i would ever buy one, hence the many controversies and downfalls of any hybrid car, good for the city but bad for cross country, you can always use other mode s of transport.
my heros; love the show. im fascinated by internal combustion, i think its genius, but i also think its time to say goodbye to it. I'm planning on making an electric conversion next summer. costs about $5000-7000 to do it yourself. much more simple than gas cars, cheaper to fuel and maintain. easy to research.
Just love the program .,

A few years later, the wold economy collapsed, fuel prices soared and everything stopped. Oh yeah, GM went bankrupt.

I didn't want to watch fucking GW propaganda. I'm interested in cars and the technologies, both current and in the future, that are in them.

"American culture and lifestyle is getting boring"
That was my attitude until September 11, 2001. There's nothing boring about a new World War.
