  • I wanna party with Mike!!

  • @guitarbutt do you even know who Mike Matthews is?

  • Cool it' the "Nature Boy" Rick Flair!

  • Mike needs to put on a more modest shirt. haha!! Wish there were more vids of the 44 caliber tho.

  • gay

  • fuck yeah, Mike is so badass.

  • what is the difference between the 22 and 44 caliber? thanks!

  • @NvdVen 22 Caliber and 44 Magnum are different in a self explanatory way. 22 is a 22-watt, and 44 is a 44-watt amp. NOTE: Power amps, and should be treated as such.

  • This is NOT a head.

    It is a power amp.

    a cool one.

    POWER AMP.

  • Bedroom Wanker Amp...What happens when a drummer gets into the mix - bye for now...

  • tua bangka.... hahaha

  • Matthews needs to stay BEHIND the scenes.

  • Awesome!

  • VERY COOL LITTLE AMP !!!!

No more coffee for Mike !

  • WOOOOOOooo!

  • i wish he were my third grampa

    XD

  • I just cant get over that digital sound

  • hairy shoulders...XD

  • Cool. It sounds terrible.

  • When did Ric Flair start endorsing EHX?

  • Hey could I put this between my Vox AC4TV head and the cab? Thanks!

  • Awesome old guy is awesome.

  • @EJRocky He is not just an old guy, thats mike mathews, he is the founder of Electro Harmonix.

  • Wow. Cool xD

  • hilarious

  • Now THAT'S a salesman.

  • The question is not "what you blowing" it's what you smoking?

    Disturbing...

    Ron

  • do u use a SPEAKER CABLE when u take it from the caliber to the cab?

as if you were doing so with a real amp head?

  • You would think that with all the money mike matthews has he could afford a better outfit to demo his own products in please send this guy to a waxing studio or just cover up those arms please this was disturbing..........

he looks like an out of work wrestler from the 70's

  • hey man what you blowin'

    those shoulders are unique

  • omg these guys are awesome:D

  • I think the consensus is we wanna hear it playing clean (if thats possible)..please someone post one with cleane tone

  • I like you guys!

  • great! can you plug the headphones somewhere? if it should be possible, that's will be the definitive solution for outdoor students!

  • You can try connecting your headphones to the output!

  • this video doesn't do it justice.

i tried this out at a friends shop. pushed a vintage marshall 4x12 cab and it sounded amazing. it's cheap too. great for players who want everything simplified. like blues players and whatnot. check it out. i'm mike woods and i support this message

  • I'd like to see EH coming up with a 44 cal. giving more clean headroom or even better a .308 cal. that could crack a 4x12 open.YEAH!!

  • .357 Magnum

  • This video Rocks. Way to go Mike !!!

  • Too bad it distorts at high volumes, I'd like something like this to drive a cab with an external preamp.

  • Yeah even though it is only 22 watts solid state I would have hoped for pure clean tone at full volume with no breakup. Using it as a clean power amp source would be great for say a modeller or some direct recording type pedal like the GT-2. Here's hoping the flabby distortion is from the camcorder.

  • It's an amp in a box, literally. What else would you expect from a cranked amp?

  • A clean tone would be nice, that way one could use their own pedals to get grit and shape the tone.

  • The son seems to be quite embarassed ... But it's fun. The amp sounds a little like my Pignose Legendary.

  • Mike is a badass.

  • I think most of the distortion is coming from the camcorder.

  • I think it's hilarious how many tubes ehx makes and they always make solid state amps

  • Actually, this is the second solid state amp. All of the ELECTRO-HARMONIX amps previously, save one, were valve amps. Great sounding amps that are now collector's favorites. They do have the portable amp that runs on batteries, which is/was? a great gigging amp.

If you want to build a palm sized amp with tubes...good luck. The micing was not good but seeing the owner, who is a musical instrument legend and his son... that is cool. A tonal complaint of an funny amp video is really reaching.

  • Did the version you talked about that you created as a PA head in a pedal sound better than this? Maybe it would have been better to release that instead...

  • @chaffel3 Shows how much you know dumbass.

  • better mic-ing wouldve helped this vid out

  • I don't know it kind of sounded like crap once he disconnected the Fender amp. Is that thing capable of a nice clean tone, or just a crappy 70's type diarrhea kind of fuzzy distortion?

  • Did you watch the video with the guy who designed it? He is feeding a sine wave and it shows up on the scope without any distortion at the rated wattage, so it seems you can run it very clean.

  • I don't know why but this comment had me cracking up for 5 straight minutes...lol

    =p

    Dm

  • Well better to laugh at it before buying it, right? Unless I see a clean representation of this thing I'm going to pass. The cranked up sound is not appealing at all.

  • Holy Jesus! This is breaking news! OMMMGGGGGG!

  • Mike at EH keepin' it real!

  • WTH! LOLZ. Cool Nano amp thu. Gotta get me one of those.

    PS. I'm 2nd!!!

  • Mike is the man!!!!!!
