  • So all Republican voters have ID? I don't get it!!! Basically they're saying that Democrats are morons who don't even have ID's! How do you not have an ID? I can understand not having a bank account or a credit card, but no ID? Give me a break!

  • How does voter ID single out African-Americans? Are the DMVs and state offices practicing Jim Crow policies now? I didn't realize blacks weren't allowed to get state IDs like the rest of us.

Give me a break. ANY US CITIZEN can easily get a state ID, regardless of race.

Retarded liberals never cease to amaze me. Everything is "racist" to the liberals, even when it affects all races equally.

  • @dslgunner1977 -- Yeah, you are a Republican alright. I am looking forward to you saying there is NO racism in America.

This issue is a lot more complex than your little jaundiced brain can decipher.

  • Karma is coming to collect

  • this is sad republicans are so stupid!

  • First unions, now "government issued ID"...these people say they're AGAINST government interference, so why the push for voter suppression? This sounds alot like a poll tax to me...which is actually VERY UNCONSTITUTIONAL....just like trying to limit the peoples' ability to vote.

  • @GreenPartyNow FUCK VOTER FRAUD AND FUCK YOU.

  • How is it a "voter suppression tactic"? I as a minority have ID and I can show it if need be, hell what American doesn't have ID?? You need ID to drive, buy beer, pay with over 50 bucks in most stores, buy smokes, and so forth. UNLESS you're trying to say that illegal aliens aren't going to be able to vote anymore, is that it?

  • @MrGunman11 liberals generally don't like these laws because it infringes on their right to fix elections.

  • so when the joblessness in the country going to be addressed the the gop establishment? Put SOMETHING on the table

  • Cooper said that there were many cases of "voter fraud", but Matthews did not press him on it. The Bush Justice Department spent five years looking specifically for voter fraud and found only some 86 instances in over 196 million votes cast.

Voter fraud is not the same as voter registration fraud; just because Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck filled out a registration form does not mean Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck showed up to vote. ACORN was about registration fraud.

  • @Iconoclast14 Voter fraud happens all the time and it's mainly done by libs, because they are afraid they can't win on their left wing agenda.

It is not reported often because the acuser will be labeled as racist.

  • @lta6494 I believe that is known as projection. Perhaps you could give actual examples beyond your opinion that it "happens all the time and it's mainly done by libs".

  • @Iconoclast14 How is it known as projection? Are you saying it's republicans that commit voter fraud?

Just follow a "La Raza" bus around on voting day....what do you think they are doing?

  • Wait a minute, if you have to PAY for a government issued ID then that is wrong. That's is definitely charging people a fee to vote.

And was Cooper suggesting that a library card could be used as a "government issued ID." If he was saying you need an ID to get a library card he should know that most places would take your name on a utility bill as evidence of residence.

And Browne-Dianis needs to tell Cooper to be quiet while she gets her time to speak.

  • Remember when T.V. was changing from analog to digital? The government went all out. They even issued coupons for the converter boxes they knew people couldn't afford. If they're suddenly going to require government issued ID to vote than they're going to have to give as much time, effort and advertising as went into T.V.'s transition. Further, they're going to have to issue coupons to pay the standard fee for such IDs as well.

everyone pays for such IDs then give time for people to

  • @FriedDaisy The question is settled as far as the Supreme Court is concerned, it's not extra constitutional. If you don't have a damn ID you should'nt be able to vote, you are probably not allowed to vote. Complaining about having to get and ID is stupid, who doesnt have one anyway? Other than illegals that is.

  • @lta6494 the Supreme Court is still out on this, furthermore,Scott and Browning did not wait for a Justice Department review. They implemented the new election law. That means some counties have the new election law and other counties are under the Civil Rights Voting Act protection. Short answer: Florida has two sets of election laws. This is how serious of a policy wonk Rick Scott is.

  • @carmeldipped1 since when do states have to have their laws reviewed by the justice department? most people do not think this law is a good, I have to hand someone my idea for everything, if I do not present one to law enforcement (which I do not agree with) I could be arrested. I cant think of a good reason to oppose it....unless you want to multi vote, or have illegals voting.

  • @lta6494 wow i think i screwed that reply up!
