  • I have just started looking at this lesson and was a little confused with the first chord demonstration, until I went back to the beginning and realized that you are left handed! Might be an idea just to mention this. I like your style of teaching.

  • My Dad bought me a guitar years ago and my hands weren't large enough to play. I can play the piano and stretch my hands, but I am having a hard time stretching my fingers to 4 different frets. I especially can hardly reach my pink to the higher strings. I"m assuming my fingers will get used to stretching like they did when i learned piano?

  • What song do we end up playing in the end?

  • @tsyx163 I have been playing guitar for about 10yrs off and on,3years seriously, and I can say get it right SLOW and you will be able to easily transition to different chords and shapes . Also I recommend playing along to simple songs it will help you get used to the chords you are learning. Like "about a girl" "Polly" "Californication" Learning chords was challenge for me at first too.I know all the Major chords I haven't learned minor chords yet..Because I'm more into distorted power chords

My fingers are killing me right now but i know i will get used to it...but i've been practicing for a week now and i still take a long time changing into each chord. Its so frustrating! How long will it take me to finally be able to change fastly inbetween chords so i can move on to minor chords?

  • @danabeatles here is a trick that helped me and that I teach people alot that helps. Strum a chord four times, then take your left hand off the fretboard and shake it for 5-10 seconds and play the chord 4 times again. Once you can lock into that chord perfectly, move to the next, and once you can do 2 chords try changinging between them without shaking your hand. Let me know if it helps!

  • @jstarang1
