Your welcome. Which rocky patel would you recommend the most? I've had one before. All i remember was that it was a maduro wrap.very strong spicy flavor but overall a good cigar. I like mild to medium cigars usually around a corona or churchill. Id appreciate any recommendations
@josejalapeno4 I'd stick with the mild to medium and it's really a matter of how long you want to enjoy it. Churchill for long and Corona for about 35 - 45 minutes.
CAO cigars are amazing. I recommend you try one if you haven't. Try the flavours. I recommend the moontrance because its my favorite. It has a nice earthy/almond and nutty taste very mild. Along with a vanilla touch from the wrap.
@IRBJR89 Good choice. Made in the D.R. Mild taste. You should enjoy that. I always recommend buying a single first that way you won't get stuck with 20 sticks if you don't like them. Enjoy
@silvereagle2061 that was my first cigar and can u tell me how to cut it because i cut to much off the first time and it unravled. and i could not smoke it:(
@IRBJR89 I would get a cigar punch for those. I know you can use a cutter but a punch leaves the end in place and not take off the end. Look for a "cigar punch" either online or your local smoke shop.
no no no dont touch the flame to the foot of the stoogie...keep the flame away...this is really a preferance but ive always thought it best to keep the flame off the stogie
Actually, Bic lighters use butane, just like the butane that is used in your torch lighter. Butane is colorless and odorless. The importance of highly refined butane is that it will not clog the clog-prone jets in a torch lighter. These jets are very finicky, hence the need to use highly refined butane. I agree with you on the Zippo's, they use lighter fluid, which will impart an odor to the tobacco, if you draw in while lighting. Keep the videos coming. There can never be toomany cigar vids.
Bic lighters should never be used that is just my thing however. I feel their is a difference from all the research I have done. Zippo's should never be used either.
If you were smoking one with a "tapered" off tip rather then a "blunt" ended one I would say go ahead. In the past some ppl bit the end off the ciger but with every smoke you would find pieces of leaf in your mouth .... not pleaseant.
on a blunted end cigar you can also use a toothpick. but you run the risk of tobacco fallin into that tunnel you just made and pluggin up ur cigar then it can be ruined.
I enjoy a good cigar every once in a while, mainly in social situations with the girlfriends father, also i am an avid craftsmen. Before watching this video i knew of the cedar matches "rule", cedar is the wood of choice, i believe due to its potent aroma also due to its taste (hence cedar smoked food). and having such a background in different types of wood i have found that Tennessee red cedar has the best addition to the cigars taste. just a Lil something to give back to you silver eagle
What type of lighter is that that your using? Is it expensive? Some guys go all out and buy a dupont for 100 PLUS bucks, but yeah im not gonna do that i just want one that actually works and is reliable but not gonna break my bank. And the i think your using a montecristo cutter? im not sure but yeah its suppose to be good but very affordable. I think there are long matches from davidoff that are very cheap for lighting a cigar.
Love your videos. I plan to smoke a Romeo y Julieta tonight.

Never light a cigar like that! You'll burn the tobacco deep into the cigar.
Joeysic66 1 year ago
Not very accurate!!!- Keep your lighter away from the foot!!!by 2 inches, and rotate the cigar!!!

@ilisia41 I was still in my learning curve. Keep watching ALL my shows and you'll see I evolved some since these early shows

tsk tsk... lots of mistakes here, a good toasting takes some time dude

once the flame from the torch touched the tobacco it's bye bye flavour, that is why you use LONG wooden matches.
if a cigar drawes poorly..it's a cigar that was not rolled properly.

but there is the new line of zippos, the zippo blu that uses butane gas.
theivious 2 years ago
Been there, done that. Worst invention ever by Zippo. Zippo Blue is a horrible excuse for a butane ligher, IMO.

silver eagle, I've read somewhere to light around the edges and never light the centre.
What do you think?

After doing some research I found that I would be better to avoid touching the insides with the flame.

Thank you so much for that. The whole idea of my videos is that we share ideas with each other. I will look for those red cedar matches.

20 dollars for a lighter sighs i know thats cheap for a lighter for a cigar but still its pricy.
Mider999 3 years ago
Just get wood matches. A lot less expensive and make sure they're ceder.
silvereagle2061 3 years ago
one time a nice lady gave me a free box of matches at my local cigar shop.. twenty + visits and she was the only one to do so..
baddmaddogg 3 years ago
some people say that you're not supposed to touch the cigar with the flame, does it matter whether you do or not?
