how are you getting 32 line tv. do you have 2 spinning wheels set up. with 2 photo-cell tubes set up,,one on each end. and how are you transmitting your signal. and what kind of motor are you using on each end. and what kind of speed controll are you using to sync both motors at the same speed.whats really on the other side of your spinning wheel. could it be a tv?
@mrflashfromthepast The 32-line television signal is converted from 625-line pal. I do not have a mechanical television camera. The converter is briefly seen in 'Televison 3'. Behind the spinning disc is an array of ultra high bright LEDs. Why do you think I have a tv behind a tv?
@mrflashfromthepast Oh I forgot. The disc speed is controlled by a 74HC4046 PLL integrated circuit ;O) You can see the schematics at nbtv.org under 'handbook'.
I saw that broadcast as it went out, more than 40 years ago...and I can play the song "Dansevise" (Dance of the Wind) on the guitar, which I was learning at that time. It was also the time I fell for Françoise Hardy... (sigh) who sang the Monacco entry on that evening, whilst Nana Mouskouri from Greece sang for Luxembourg. Hmmm ... I wonder if it really was much less partisan back then?

Wow - a real replica of a Baird TV system. Well done! Would be interesting to see higher res than was available then wit ha mechanical scanning device.
@J4mesH0llingworth Sorry what? Når jeg skriver på dansk, så er der meget sjældent fejl, men så forstår de fleste ikke noget af det. Tak for kommentaren til den internationale del. De teknisk interesserede har ikke problemer med at forstå teksten.
The 32 lines are not extremly poor quality because the quality is infinate radially. If the standard was 256 lines or somthing, just imagine what today would be like.
In the US, the Columbia standard for color television was originally adopted. It was a mechanical version, with a rapidly roatating color wheel. Only a few stations on the east coast were capable of transmitting this type of color television. Later, all of the sets were recalled, and the all-electronic RCA standard was adopted by the FCC.
The video converted to 32-line progressive scan is from The Eurovision Song Contest 1963. I chose it because of the steady pictures and the close-ups. The converter can convert any programme, but far from everything is recognisable i 32 lines. This is how BBC Television looked between 1929 and 1935. From 1929 to 1932 television transmissions came from the Baird studio at Long Acre 133, London, and from 1932 to 1935 from Broadcasting House, Portland Place.
