I have a brindle boxer Floppy/Docked with a Black mask and she is absolutely one of the best pets I've ever had. She is so loving and playful. The lady was right though she is like a little kid. LOL she's a real trip.

The only difference is that now i know a lot more about dogs, and i know Boxers can have a lot of health issues and a somewhat short life...but if one day dog breeders can create a new line of Boxers who live longer and with a really strong health...DAMN!!! that will be one hell of a happy day for me!!! =)

I had a Boxer once. He lived a full and active life. Once, I was in the garage, and he was in there with me and there was a basketball on the ground. He stared at it for a couple seconds, then suddenly headbutted it. XD He used to do this pogo jump thing when he was on my bed and I'd get halfway underneith the bed. He's bounce and bounce and bounce. And it's totally true about Boxers wagging their whole selves.
I have no idea why, but when my male boxer drinks cold water or eats a piece of ice he throws up. When he plays to much he tends to throw up. I really have no idea why he does it. His sister rarely throws up though.
I absolutely love Boxers! I love seeing the natural ears on them. Cropped ears on Boxers look hideous! Thankfully, less and less Boxer owners are cropping their dogs. When I do see a cropped Boxer I absolutely cringe. I feel so bad for the dog. Why somebody would do that to a dog is beyong my understanding. It is for a look and that is it. I hate seeing dogs being treated like fashion accessories and mutilated to fit their owners desires. Stop mutilating your dogs people! It makes you an ass!

I have a Boxer named Judo. His legend precedes him, the way lightning precedes thunder. When people pet him, they shake their leg. He finds tennis balls beneath him. Every time he goes for a swim, dolphins appear. He is a lover not a fighter, but he is also a fighter so do not get any ideas. My dog is the most interesting dog in the world!
I currently have a GSD x Chow mix (vids on my channel) he's 17 weeks. Considering getting him a female Boxer pal when he's a year old. Good idea or no? He's very energetic.
@theexperience94 My Boxer has hip problems and she is only 6 yrs old. Costco has a wonderful product called HAPPY HIPS that only after a week she was jumping and running like she's 6 months old. We can't be happier!!
@pitbull9463878 Boers are bad as hell I like pits as well any muscular large dog. They are both amazing my boxer Protects the family, himself and is great around kids. So if its a pit then cool but boxers are bad as hell!
@XxCyberPrgasusxX No, they're usually completely full-grown by three. I think the average lifespan of a Boxer is 8 to 10 or 10 to 12 but I'm not sure. All I know is my 5-year-old Bindi is the happiest little girl. I'm gonna miss her when she's gone. I just lost my Italian Greyhound and it's tough, but Bindi knows when you're upset and she's a comforting little girl.

at the end of the video it says high cancer rate. its one of those things you dont take into consideration until it happens to your dog just like it happened to mine. My dad and I had to put him down today because of it. He was only 3 years old, 77 pounds, and the sweetest dog you'd ever meet...not deserving. Dear goodness, they really ARE kids in dog bodies. Make sure you have the energy to play with them, and the tenacity for rigorous training because their attention spans are just as distract-able as kids too.
And they're right, a boxer without a buddy is a sad thing. Better have another dog around if you leave them alone at home for sure or you WILL have a sad doggy. They don't just thrive on attention, but company. Even if they're company is a silent dog, their presence is good enough.

@Ladose1000 when ever he bites make a startling sound and stop playing/ignore him untill he looks away if he does it again make the startling sound and ignore him untill has stopped pestering you for a good 30 seconds...make sure you are not playing a game that encourages him biting you in some way...tug a war can be a good game for mouthing boundaries every time he nips you its your startling sound and game over
My dog is a lab/boxer. She has so much energy!! One time that really made us laugh was when my mom tried to get her into her cage with the leash on, and she sat down on her bum (with her feet NOT touching the ground) and rested her paws on the leash. XD

@SeraphWispers wow so not true! Dogs are not ugly!! And that is a load of crap! Dogs can learn pretty fast. My puppy learned the down command in on our first try and he was only about 11 weeks. My puppy rarely barks and when he does its when someone knocks on the door or when I come home. Boxers in my opinion are cute esp the expressions they seem to make and the thing I love about dogs is their personality. I love that they are so willingly to please and will even give their life

I'm considering getting one but they all seem to die of cancer :/ the other day when i walked out of the Vet with my Labrador, there was a a lady with a boxer outside, crying. @expexprodigy does yours have any particular problems? I know they are very boisterous but has yours slowed down alot in the last few years because of its age?
@TeifiValley123 well yes he has slowed down a bit but not anything out of the norm...he can still jump around and play but tires more quickly but no real problems that cant be fixed somewhat easily. He had a hematoma on his ear but was easily treated and he had to have an ulcer removed from his eye withen the last year but it is well worth taking care of if you ask me
@expexprodigy I guess i'm just trying to get an idea of what theyre like to live with. They are lovely animals but the breed is beset with cancer and heart problems. You're lucky to have one thats in such good health.
I miss my boxer. He was the biggest baby in the world! His name was Ivan and he was white with brown patches. SO SWEET!!! It was the saddest day of my life when we had to put him down. I am so getting another one when I get my own place. :3
She's so smart..she sits,stays,shakes,crawls,and we're thisclose to getting her to roll over. She was found by a friend..the owner had tied her to a porch,only coming out every other day to give her a piece of bread. My friend took her,but bc Bonnie was unsocialized as a puppy,she went off on her schnauzer,and my friend was afraid of her. So she told my life partner it was either find a home,or have her put down. Bonnie's got her own yard now,and lots of love from both of us! Her bff is a cat!
I have a rescue boxer named Bonnie..she's *so* smart,and her smile makes my day. she'll run towards you like she's about to bowl you over,and then stop on a dime right before she gets to you,rolling over,wanting a belly rub.
in my honest opinion, the bigger the dog, the bigger the baby... and it is true. I have never met a boxer that wanted to kill me, play maybe, but not kill. I have my female brindle boxer (14 weeks) next to me playing with her rawhide as I type this.

@daddyV88 sorry for the late response, in fact my dad got 2 brindle boxers, 1 is 1 month and a day older then the other. Obviously they both have those sad, sad eyes, speaking of, I think the boxer breed is the only breed has consistant sad eyes.
They forgot two major details: they drill A LOT and they NEVER bite! My uncle's boxer supposedly died of heat. Bxers owners be aware you your pet shops uses too hot water for your dog's bath. Seriously.

@toastybunster They are! I personally can vouch for that. The reason is because I've raised pitbulls, siberian huskies, german shephards, white shephards, and even beagles. The easiest to train was the German Shephard/White Shephards, but I just recently bought a white boxer, and this dog is so smart! He learned quick! I think what you experienced was the hyperness. Lol.

From my long experience with them, they don't really have a mean streak, unless somebody tries to attack their family. I had a huge 96lb boxer and he actually chased a burglar out of our house when I was a baby. Most likely saved my life.
And if you exercise them regularly they are usually pretty trainable. They just have a TON of energy. Some of the smartest dogs though.

Dear goodness, they really ARE kids in dog bodies. Make sure you have the energy to play with them, and the tenacity for rigorous training because their attention spans are just as distract-able as kids too.
And they're right, a boxer without a buddy is a sad thing. Better have another dog around if you leave them alone at home for sure or you WILL have a sad doggy. They don't just thrive on attention, but company. Even if they're company is a silent dog, their presence is good enough.

@Ladose1000 when ever he bites make a startling sound and stop playing/ignore him untill he looks away if he does it again make the startling sound and ignore him untill has stopped pestering you for a good 30 seconds...make sure you are not playing a game that encourages him biting you in some way...tug a war can be a good game for mouthing boundaries every time he nips you its your startling sound and game over

My dog is a lab/boxer. She has so much energy!! One time that really made us laugh was when my mom tried to get her into her cage with the leash on, and she sat down on her bum (with her feet NOT touching the ground) and rested her paws on the leash. XD

@SeraphWispers wow so not true! Dogs are not ugly!! And that is a load of crap! Dogs can learn pretty fast. My puppy learned the down command in on our first try and he was only about 11 weeks. My puppy rarely barks and when he does its when someone knocks on the door or when I come home. Boxers in my opinion are cute esp the expressions they seem to make and the thing I love about dogs is their personality. I love that they are so willingly to please and will even give their life

@carlospenalover My friends dog had the same thing. how old was she when she got it? I'm considering getting one but they all seem to die of cancer :/ the other day when i walked out of the Vet with my Labrador, there was a a lady with a boxer outside, crying. Probably been told hers had the big C too.

@TeifiValley123 well yes he has slowed down a bit but not anything out of the norm...he can still jump around and play but tires more quickly but no real problems that cant be fixed somewhat easily. He had a hematoma on his ear but was easily treated and he had to have an ulcer removed from his eye withen the last year but it is well worth taking care of if you ask me

I miss my boxer. He was the biggest baby in the world! His name was Ivan and he was white with brown patches. SO SWEET!!! It was the saddest day of my life when we had to put him down. I am so getting another one when I get my own place. :3

She's so smart..she sits,stays,shakes,crawls,and we're thisclose to getting her to roll over. She was found by a friend..the owner had tied her to a porch,only coming out every other day to give her a piece of bread. My friend took her,but bc Bonnie was unsocialized as a puppy,she went off on her schnauzer,and my friend was afraid of her. So she told my life partner it was either find a home,or have her put down. Bonnie's got her own yard now,and lots of love from both of us! Her bff is a cat!

in my honest opinion, the bigger the dog, the bigger the baby... and it is true. I have never met a boxer that wanted to kill me, play maybe, but not kill. I have my female brindle boxer (14 weeks) next to me playing with her rawhide as I type this.

@daddyV88 sorry for the late response, in fact my dad got 2 brindle boxers, 1 is 1 month and a day older then the other. Obviously they both have those sad, sad eyes, speaking of, I think the boxer breed is the only breed has consistant sad eyes.

I don't care why they drool, the point is that they drool, that's disgusting. 3. Nature didn't make boxers, humans did via selective breeding.

@toastybunster They are! I personally can vouch for that. The reason is because I've raised pitbulls, siberian huskies, german shephards, white shephards, and even beagles. The easiest to train was the German Shephard/White Shephards, but I just recently bought a white boxer, and this dog is so smart! He learned quick! I think what you experienced was the hyperness. Lol.

@toastybunster Haha, no doubt that they are extremely well behaved as far as temperament and not being overly aggressive. From my long experience with them, they don't really have a mean streak, unless somebody tries to attack their family. I had a huge 96lb boxer and he actually chased a burglar out of our house when I was a baby. Most likely saved my life.
And if you exercise them regularly they are usually pretty trainable. They just have a TON of energy. Some of the smartest dogs though.
