  • Thumbs up if you saw Aaron Rogers do the same thing in the Pro Bowl.

  • typical favre

  • this video pretty much sums up his entire career >_<

  • did anyone else see that guy dive and completely miss everyone?

  • @shineeyman Ya, it looks like he ended up in the end zone.

  • @shineeyman Where ?

  • he first completion WOULD be to himself. the last time he came back to the NFL he stated "I was so close to getting these guys [Vikings] to the playoffs" so self absorbed

  • @singana1 Brett Favre almost got them to the Super Bowl. Self absorbed? I think not. The word I'd use is self assured.

  • @wong561 yeah because adrian peterson and the 2009 D-line were just standing around while Brett Favre was doing all the work getting them to the playoffs, that must have been what happened

  • @singana1 Don't forget that Peterson fumbled twice, if memory serves me correctly, in the NFC Championship game.

  • @wong561 Harvin did too. There were like 5 turnovers in that game. Favre just made the biggest one though. =/

  • so young!

  • @kilox10001 he probably just didnt want it intercepted

  • He started with a bad play and ended with a bad play

  • @kilox10001 they would of picked it off if he didnt catch it

    \

  • Was this at County Stadium?

  • Wow he threw for 71838 yards after starting in a -7 yard hole haha

  • Men do not fail, they just give up trying. Favre is a legend because he never gave up trying.

  • @BarackSays

    best comment here!

  • hah clasic

  • @kilox10001 It's only a stupid decision once you know the outcome. Before that point it's a risk.

  • @kilox10001 not if you had him in a ppr league

  • wow great prediction mr announcer guy

  • Better he caught it than Big Ray :/ loss of yards > interception..

  • haha theres tracking...ohh vhs how i miss you

  • haha, that's an odd way to start an NFL career.

  • wow that guy announcing the game can be like I told you so now. ...........(is he still alive) If he is my apologies if he reads this, if not then to his family I would like to say He was a very intuitive man. I am sorry for your loss.

  • is that Doc Emmerick?

  • @beetate Yes it is.

  • @kilox10001 Of course. But that's not Brett. He thrived on huge risks.

  • I remember watching this play live while spread out on my mom's couch in Neenah, Wisconsin and thinking to myself, "'If this guy ever amounts to anything I will remember his first ever pass completion". I still do.

  • Of course this isn't a highlight reel Military...it's just for nostalgia. It's BRETT FAVRE'S FIRST COMPLETION! The play is, however, an example of how tough he was to tackle back in the day

  • totally amazing the commentator nailed it.

  • lol he should have let it be incomplete

  • what is the other team?

  • @321ian Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • It's hard to imagine Favre without the 40 year old look

  • just imagine the announcer at the game "#4 Brett Favre completed pass to #4 Brett Favre for a 2 yard loss" :P

  • And to think he led this team to win the Super Bowl just 4 years later!

  • @Cotronixco He didn't lead THIS team. There were four players on the '96 team that were there in '91, the year before Favre arrived - 93% of the roster. The turnover from '91 to '92 was quite a bit, but no 93%, ergo it was pretty much a different team that he lead to the Super Bowl. Reggie wasn't even on the team yet.

  • @toolkien That is the point. Things changed drastically for the Packers in just a few years.

  • Where's the first down line?

  • @JJfortheKing its a long time ago... there arent any... lol

  • @JJfortheKing its a long time ago... there arent any... lol u know that the first down line isent actually on the field right... lol

  • @scottnorton123 lol yeah. Somebody on ESPN radio made a joke about the first-down-line not existing on TV 10 years ago, so that's what I thought of when I watched this. :P

  • THATS WHAT I WOULD DO PASS IT TO MYSELF

  • Lmao that's perfect

  • And when we saw this shit, we knew it'd be a fun 20 years.

  • that commentator hit the nail on the nob wit that saying on brett

  • whoever the announcer was he was spot on!!!

  • GREATEST PLAYER WHO EVER PLAYED FOOTBALL!

  • thank you so much or posting this

  • @jaker1013 You're elcome.

  • @Cotronixco ya hank uo o uch

  • like if you just searched this because of MNF

  • Bret was smiiling when he was on the bottom of that pile hahaha

    Classic Brett...Such a good sport

  • People always ask me with a smug smile who Brett Favre's first completion was caught by. Love the look on their faces when I get it right.

  • This is not only the first completion as a Packer, but also his first completion ever (He had 4 attempts in the 1991 season, none were complete).

  • @orion1954 Well, in a sense, he did complete 2 in 1991 during the Falcons-Redskins regular season meeting; to two Redskins (including Andre Collins taking it for the closing points in a 56-17 thrashing).

  • when was this

  • Sheesh. He'll still be starting in 2030

  • 20 years later, HOF!

  • just learned about this fact today. so glad someone had the play up on youtube to see!

  • Great to have this on YouTube, thanks for sharing! Just a little part of sports history but will make a great trivia question.....

  • @Channel58 lol i just got this question on one of ESPNs trivial questions and because of this i won

  • Brett Favre is like a kid out there

  • One more year!!

  • AND he broke the first takcle

  • "that's what makes a good player...he doesn't stop...he's gonna make somethin' happen"

    epic

  • @LHZZ12MM and the rest...as we say...is history!!
