It is an alternative for drilling - straight up a paper clip or other stiff wire and heat it with a lighter - it will make a small hole adequate for your needle in a second. It is nessesary to seal ink outlet port before drilling and refilling. You can fill it fully without dripping. Seal the air vent on the top too to prevent overfilling the sponge part and dripping. Use hot glue or super glue to seal the hole. Remove both sealing tapes after refilling.
I tried to do this but the ink ran out the bottom just as fast as i put it in the top, I tried to tape the bottom but it still ran out. How do you fill them without it running everywhere
Use the german durchstich refill method with a sharp needle (2 Inch length) and you will not suffer from leaking. This is the method you should use and I warned for 4 months ago (see my reaction below). and you will not suffer from that dreadfull leaking when using the method depicted in this youtube method and you will not need to seal the refill hole at all: it can stay open in your printer.
Try to refill the cartridge until is completely full: I guarantee that the ink dripping out form the outlet onto your hands and on your desk.....
I see your put the plug in the cartridge as soon as possible and I know why: if you are to slow the ink is dripping on the desk.
The best method is the German Durchstich refill method, which does not the drilling and sealing you show on your video: no messy ink dripping out and automatically pressure balance inside the sponge area.
What message are you getting on your computer when you try and print? It should say something like the "ink level can not be detected" or "the ink cartridge is out".
If it does then you can bypass the message by pressing the reset button (Usually also the paper feed button) for around 7 seconds and releasing it.
If it is a different error message then you need to check that the chip is clean and that you are putting the correct cartridge into the slot. Be careful whilst handling it.
