@DThaeman You just made a completely different argument than the original one... I do agree that they have tiny engines, which is why I'm going to be putting a big turbo on mine as soon as I get the money. They are built to handle extremely well, though. And they do that.

Haha no, a V8 Miata is not gay at all. However unpractical it makes the car.

@MadSceve I had a turbo on my 1.6L.. it doesnt kick in until 4,000 and makes the car completely unstable. i wish i did stiffening, brakes, wider wheels, and suspension first...

if you dont like turbo lag, i have heard good things about coldside superchargers ;-)

@DThaeman Heh, a turbo on a otherwise stock Miata sounds scary... While they do have pretty hard suspension from the factory, there's a lot that could be done with them. The wheels are tiny, though...

I've actually been looking at different options because of turbo lag... Ahhhh there's so many options and so much money to be put into it. I'll have to choose what to do after a lot more research.

@TJames772 Basically stock engines, mainly BP, with high flow exhausts and perhaps a few other changes that are permitted by the guidelines. It's a series called Spec Miata.

@twowheeled987 SCCA only uses a red flag when a session has to be stopped because of extreme danger like for example a pile up that completely blocks the entire track surface or rescue vehicles have to block the track. In this case the stewards in the control tower would issue a Black Flag ALL and under control of the safety car the field will be taken down to pit road or another designated area clear of the incident and stop the field.

It's harder then you think to judge where the car is going to be when you get there. And not only do you have to make an estimate on where it's going to be, but you also have to make an estimate as what the car's around you are going to do.
