My lil Sister has had head lice for like years i've done everything vinegar , mayo , shampoo, petroleum jelly and they always come back ..they'll be gone for like 2 months ...so i'll stop checking and bam again....and omg her hair is sooo thick and nappy and she has so much hair !..Somebody even sugested roach spray ...lol....wtf

my kids have had it off and on for the past 5 years they live with ther dad who i think dosent bother to take care of it i treat them evry time i have them this past time i used malathyon u can get it from the doc it call ovied its new malathyon is whats in it to kill them you leave it on for 12 hrs i use that on my kids but on my self iv used applecider viniger left on for about 20 min and havent had a problem yet my kids have a reisent strain needing the ovied i dint

My step-mother used mayonaise and it didn't do anything for me, so I honestly don't recommend it. I recommend shampoo, because that stuff worked for me.

ive have lice about five times and petroleum jelly is a real pain in the butt, because my hair is really thick and to get out the jelly you can use corn starch

i have tried the rid and the mayo about three times and have done the nit picking the same amount but they still wont go away

stupid eggs. they should make something that helps take those out faster than sitting there for hours. i got them at 7 years old and we refused to cut my hair (it was waist lenght). My mom had to pick all the nits out manually. i feel bad for her lol

Lice like clean natural hair. If you noticed it effect women more than men, because they use gel. The BEST thing & cheapest way to get rid of them WITHOUT using all the chemicals is switch to a Coconut scented shampoo line < discount works fine! and BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY. Really fry them at the roots (don't burn yourself though) Do it over the tub or sink cause they fall out dead all over the place. Hairspray the roots (for the nits) and wear your hair up. Lice'll be gone in a week!

LISTERINE is the only thing that worked for us. Spray on with spray bottle til hair and scalp are saturated. Cover hair with shower cap for AT LEAST 2 hours. Shampoo out, then spray hair with half and half water and white vinegar to "unglue" the eggs (nits) and comb out. This worked the first time we used it (after trying SO MANY other remedies). Spray the kids hair lightly once a week after shower with listerine (mint kind smells nice!). This will keep lice from coming back.

watch out with those chemicals you rub in your hair. my little sister started to have an adverse reaction to them and she had problems breathing. The are not for asthmatics. Use vaseline it worked for her

Thanks So Much For the Posting! But, I Have Lice. Im 13 & Me And My Mother Have Tried RID & MAYO Neither Work ON Me. Im So Sick & Tired Of These PEST IN MY HEAD!! Please ANYBODY WHO KNOWS THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF LICE PLEASE RESPOND!! I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE WITH THE ICHING! My School Dosent Check THe Heads For LIce So in Other words they dont know!

Use neem oil available at your health food store. Use half neem oil with half olive oil and cover the head roots to ends with it and cover all hair and head with a shower cap. Leave on for two hours or more then wash out and put a bit of tea tree oil through the hair. (2-3 drops) Then NIT PICK like crazy.

Make sure all of your bedding, pillows, couches, car seats, stuffed animals are cleaned or sealed for at least two weeks. Do treatment again in three days.
