  • holy hell!

  • I tried this pedal on my rig today and it blew my mind. I used chorus pedals before and they always sounded good, but this pedal is special. It's my first Red Witch encounter. I must own it now. I am curious to try other RW products. I can't comment on stereo input capability since I'll never run stereo live away. But it doesn't make a lot of sense that they wouldn't have stereos ins since they have stereo outs.

  • or in other words, is it worth spending the bit extra getting the medusa?

  • @101theguitardude not really, I A/B'ed them at a local guitar shop, the medusa has a tad more tweakability but at the end of the day, they're the same sound... besides, I prefer the switch settings of the empress

  • I'm not sure if this would help me to get an andy summers sound, or i should rather get the hartman flanger?

  • I wonder if it's possible to have a zero velocity?I want to stop the effect turning anywhere i want.

  • If I hear this guy say "65 Amp Soho" one more time I'm going to shit all over myself

  • @KHGuitarFreak face palm!

  • Great video! I have read online that the Empress is a little prone to hiss and it seems to do a not-always-pleasant treble boost...? Is that to be expected, is it just an error? Did you notice any of this when testing the pedal?

  • @hotlion81

I have the red witch empress chorus and it does boost my signal alot ( no matter if clean or drive channel ) it its quite noticable .

  • @hotlion81 Only with the bright switch engaged :P

  • was hoping to hear with some dirt, distortion ?

  • Love this pedal! Agree with drmsgtrplayer but this one is a gem! Great review as always Andy!

  • Some day I'll have the entire Red Witch line. I am in love with the Fuzz God II, and I'll get this empress next.. after that, who knows? They're all AMAZING, but just a bit too pricey.

  • why does red witch remind me of Sunn O))) and Boris?

  • @KHGuitarFreak yea seriously via Andy's reply you think andy just has these pedals for fun? Imagine how big andys pedal board would be!

  • gotta love that 65 soho!

  • Versatile and sounds fantastic...

  • Easily my next investment for my board

  • This is one of the best chorus pedals I have ever owned. With the exception of the Analogman. Worth every penny!..

  • Small clone, analogman, or this???...

  • ehx stereo clone theory?:))

  • @Weltar - GET THIS.

  • the red witch, dam it has some sweet sounds

  • @Weltar I've had nothing but problems with every EH product I've ever owned and it doesn't matter if it's pedals, synthesizers, or vacuum tubes. I'll never buy any of their products ever again.Their poor q.c. and terrible customer service both get a thumbs down in my book. That said, I think the Analogman kicks much butt.

  • @eatsandsleeps my EHX Stereo Man Hazarai is just about older than a year and a half and the toggle switch is already slowly giving up on me... They got lucky that that thing's pretty good, that's why I'm sticking with it... So yeah I know whatcha mean dude.

  • To my friend yep boring but it had yr name on it

  • is it possible to get a leslie warbly-like chorus out of this like a ce-1? if you could this would definitely be the best chorus pedal ever.

  • I'm debating between this pedal and the Analogman Chorus. Anyone have experience with both or know of a video "shoot out"?

  • definately a tuff call. i personally dig the analog man a bit more because it's got a sorta alternative feel good style to it. this one is very warm though, so i'd suggest trying both before u develope your own opinion.

  • What I hate about these analog units is that they all have stereo outs, but none of them has stereo in, so if you have 3 stereo pedals, you can actually use 1 only in stereo.

  • you can usea a

    ABY box

to route 2 signals thoruge one..

will not be the same.. but something is somethinh

  • @drmsgtrplayer The Answer are Digitech Hardwire Pedals like Reverb or Chorus.

    ...and you're 100% right.

  • @Krzyzy670 Hardwire reverb is digital as far as I know.

  • @drmsgtrplayer not true... you can have each pedal go 'out' to different amps or speakers or computers or whatever, creating a virtual 'wall of sound'

  • @drmsgtrplayer thats indeed anoying but some of them have so i just bought the one's who actually had it XD !

  • @drmsgtrplayer Hmmm. Perhaps you could try and have the chorus pedal first in line for the stereo pedals, unless I'm not getting a specific setup you are looking for...

  • @drmsgtrplayer Tell me about it. It's very annoying.

  • must be great if you use a lot of chorus in your music. Some day I will buy this one. It sounds great

  • yeah but not everyone can have access to trying these expensive but amazing pedals because guitarcenter only allows you to try the crappy and cheap ones.

  • Sometimes you just have to buy them on a whim. I bought a Red Witch Fuzz God II and it's my favorite pedal. I am now down to the Empress or the Analogman Chorus, but I'm leaning Red Witch. Their stuff is pricy, but superb quality.

  • dude i just noticed ever redwitch demo blows every single other pedal out of the water i used to be a electroharmonix fan but redwitch all the way !!!

  • I believe the $300 you pay is well worth it!!

  • How does this do a leslie?

  • im trying to decide this, the diamon halo chorus, or the retro sonic stereo chorus. i dunno what to get? probaly this..

  • i'm in the same boat. but i'm sticking with this one outa those three. wish it was stereo though

  • It is stereo.

  • yes but the stereo is dry/wet instead of wet/wet

  • This and the diamond Halo are the best Ive ever used.I like the halo better because of its options, but these are two great pedals.

  • this is my love pedal) very very pretty ...

  • Thank you for all your product videos. They provide a tremendous service and really help in making an informed decision.

  • Um...we are a dealer.

  • does anybody know if this pedal is good for jazz?

  • very cool pedal, but could ur website offer a C.O.D payment? its supplied by UPS, i'd like to buy on that way instead of paypal

  • Anybody know what kind of adapter this pedal runs off of?

  • Standard 9V 2.1mm plug with center negative, just as your standard 9mm Boss adapter.

  • Bass+Chorus+Overdrive+SmoothFlanger=AWESOME SOUND

  • me too

  • ME WANT

  • really nice
