  • black sabbath will never be die \M/

  • I'll sell my soul to the devil (if he exist , which he doesnt) for vocals like that *rubs throat*

  • Ozzy's face at 2:19 xDDDDDD

  • 4:13. fuck yeah.

  • these alternate lyrics are so much better than the published ones.

  • your giving death a kiss....reality will wait

  • Geezer Butler one of the greatest bass players of all time, no doubt about that!

  • @Nissehultswe you mean i am?

  • Fathers of Metal!!!!

  • just read that Iomi's fingertips were cut off in industrial accident, didn't know that.

  • @lauriecolson one finger tip was cut off.

  • @rh741 Oh look it up before you correct someone else, the tips of two of the middle fingers on his right hand were cut off in a sheet metal factory. He created his own prosthetics, which created the deep, haunting, melodic sound of the Sabbath Metal Guitar riffs. There are several live videos you can even see them on.

  • OMG - I've always wanted to see this live....this is a HUGE song in the CT area....

  • wow alternate lyrics!

  • Black Sabbath my favourite band, they have been so much inspiration to me.

  • haa....I like near the end when Ozzy doesn't come in when he's supposed too. He looks a Tony and the other guys, he looks kinda worried...like "how fuck are we gonna end this wanker??...."

  • snowflakes!

  • Ozzy said that Tony Iomi is the most underrated guitarist of all time...

  • bill ward beating the shet out of them skinz.

  • What is up with all this comparing musicians to eachother and having an discussion , i came here to listen to Black Sabbath , my favourite band !

  • yall should check out type o negative bill ward was asked if he could pay drums with any metal band past or present he picked type o negative then he named a few other bandsTHEY ARE AWESOME for people who like black sabbath

  • i hate how much metal has changed!

people nowadays overdo the "metal" aspect.

Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica, and KISS are the only ones i feel like have it perfect.

  • @ALMOSTLAKAI34

    check out HIM and Lordi

  • my fav Sabbath song

  • these guys are like albert ensteins when it comes to music

  • i love this olds and smooth jazzy songs ;)

  • @aztherix95

Yes, Bill and Geezer originaly played in a jazz band, Jazz is a very underrated influence in metal. John Bonham and Ginger Baker were was also heavily influenced by Jazz drumming.

  • @metafis and iommi influence of Django Reinhardt is very obvious, and songs like wicked world or the fast part of electric funeral sound like a big band swing-jazz, but i dont see much bonham jazz influence, e plays very hard the drums

  • @aztherix95

I dont know, Bonham has said forties/fifties jazz drummers like Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich were a big influence , listen to those guys on youtube, they hit hard.

  • @metafis WOW Buddy Rich hits very hard the drums in comparition of other jazz drummers... i can see the influence

  • @aztherix95

Yes..It actually surprised me as well, I'd assumed jazz drummers were light and used brushes a lot, but I think thats just 'lounge jazz' (nightclub jazz for eg as lampooned in the uk tv show 'the fast show'). I really got into the sort of much heavier swing-jazz that Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa played , and I recognise now a lot of the influences on the great rock/metal drummers of the sixties/seventies. Moon, Baker, Ward, Paice and of course Bonham to name a few.

  • @bobbyjay386 who gives a fuck what rolling stone writers think...?

  • @maurodarken Geezer Butler and Bill Ward are the greatest rhythmic section in all of metal.

  • @zeppelin1996 in all music*

  • @TheDarkLordEthan Agreed! Those guys could groove!

  • @maurodarken WTF. Bill Ward is the best "drum." STFU

  • Comment removed

  • @maurodarken All Iommi needs to do was chop the top of a couple of fingers of to get the sound. That's a real man.

  • Sabbath weren't ones to preach but they do know that if you go down a certain path drug wise you will lose urself

  • 1970 was awesome. Led Zeppelin - Royal Albert Hall, Black Sabbath Live in Paris, Jimi Hendrix in Band of Gypsys, Iggy Pop,

  • @josmur14 drugs are awsome

  • @Wut88 Not really... but whatever. If you don't like what they write songs about, don't listen to them. Nobody is forcing you to. They wrote a song about drugs. Oh no, there goes the neighborhood. They can write about whatever they damn want.

  • @josmur14 chill out man... i wrote that shit high

  • fap fap fap fap fap fap fap

  • Oooooooh yeah

  • awesome

  • 2:18 great move-eyes

  • Attention Drummers/musicians!!! Get the book "realistic rock" by Carmine Appice!! If you like 60's-70's rock drumming it's the Bible. It turned my hopeless brother into a real rock guy. He would work on it every day and half way through the book and after learning the first Zeppelin record beat for beat he would go back to the jams and sound exactly like Simon Kirk of Free and Bad Company...with bonham fills to boot. It could save rock drumming im serious. Amazon.com

  • im really stoned, and this is awesome.

  • Geezer is so cool in this vid. I love his vintage P-bass with the bridge cover, what a beautiful instrument! And I love his playing style, all metal and punk bassists and quite a few blues and prog bassists are influenced by Geezer, even if indirectly. The difference between Sabbath and all other (lesser) metal bands is Geezer and Bill's ability to groove and be heavy at the same time.

  • really, I think this is the most epic Black Sabbath concert ever! I'd sell my soul to the Devil to watch it at the time! No... That wouldn't be so far! Or would it?!

  • These guys are the Fab 4 of Metal. These 4 guys perfoming together created Heavy Metal and were not only the first but also the best ever in my opinion. Just my opinion and everyone has one and has different taste but it will always be Black Sabbath forever for me. I was lucky enough to see them in Frankfurt Germany in 75 and they were awesome.

  • lml (*o*) lml

  • Happy Birthday Geezer!

  • Black Sabbath are the granfathers of heavy metal lml

  • Did ozzy messed up some of the lyrics?

  • @amaruinf3 no. he always changed the lyrics from what is on the albums. some times they were completely different, with no similarities. that just what he does

  • BILL WARD: GREATEST DRUMMER OF ALL TIME !!!!

  • the hand of doom is playing iommi's guitar...

  • your way too stoned Reallystoned....

  • Bill's pounding those drums, and Geezer needs to be heard moar! D: I'm currently trying to learn the bass solo to this. :(

  • This like a dark jazz song

  • Is this before they recorded the song? It kinda sounds like Ozzy's making up the lyrics as he goes along lol

  • @MegaOctober13 He´s on acid lol

  • @38828601manu Lol probably, that and some pot from Afganistan or something based off of what he said in his book lol

  • Epic.

  • I LOVE Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne till DEATH!!! But does Ozzy EVER remember his own lyrics?!

  • @lordcinturon he uses a telepromter now.

  • People are to afraid to thumbs down for the fear of the Hand of Doom coming down and ripping their faces off!! ^_^

  • loving the base intro

  • This stuff gives me the chills

  • Geezer need to be turned the fuck up!!!!

  • GEEZER

  • one of the best heavy bass riffs ever bar none.

  • Did he flub the lyrics at the end when Tony came in or is it a lyric change for some reason? There's a definite lyric change at the end.... before Tony's guitar solo.

  • About 32 years ago in college I played side B of this album the entire day. Until whatever I'd dropped wore off a bit.

  • ozzy and these guys really put some killer music down...this song has always been one of my favorites going back to the mid to late seventies before I ever really had any idea of what the lyrics were really about...after two decades of sever narcotic abuse this song has a whole new meaning but after all these years the song remains the same....friggin"killer :D

  • @2112escape hearing this now , it still sounds great , but it serves to remind me just how far I ahve stretched the limits of my own mind at certain times over the yrs . There were times in the late 70's I can recall when this sounded like a warning from some higher power directed at me specifically lol.It scared me a couple times !, and not just the lyrics but the tone of the instruments seemed somehow diabolical and just coming from a dark place

  • @RisingSon011 that's exactly what sabbath wanted to sound like.

  • 4:10

  • best band in the fucking universe!!!!!!!!

  • I cant stop jaming this song on my Bass!!!

  • @macdaddyluigi15 Geezer is fuckin' incredible!

  • fucking good song

  • really, does anyone want THESE lyrics for the LIVE hand of doom?

  • Where did you get this video?

  • Do they play heavy metal or hard rock, plz comment

  • @hallbergjonatan They play hip hop. Or you could try the "rate your music" website...

  • @hallbergjonatan Well it's Metal because every heavier song that has ever been written like heavy metal and stuff like that is based on te album Paranoid. It's like the Bible from the rock gods if you don't have that record in your home you ain't got shit! :D My Black Sabbath top 3: 1.Paranoid 2. Embryo + Children Of The Grave 3. Hand Of Doom. (if we continue 4. War Pigs 5. Fairies Wear Boots.) Ozzy or president!

  • @hallbergjonatan there was no "heavy metal" at the time. Just hard rock.

  • @jimscape Indeed, but their "rock" was so "hard" that seems heavy metal already :)

  • GEEZER BUTLER!!!!!!!!! One of the best bassplayers of all time!

  • @Noedig He's Up There With Cliff Burton And Phil Lynott

  • @Noedig and GEddy lee, and Les Claypool and John Paul Jones

  • @Noedig i wouldnt go that far.... Geddy Lee

  • @Noedig Yeah I agree ! But Bill Ward is such an underated drummer ! Geezer is so cool on this though ! Peace Ye``all !

  • @Noedig i know man thats one reasone why i love this band so much, just like my love for Geddy Lee from Rush.

  • @ryanandbranslurppiss I cant think of enough great things to say about Rush ! Saw them back in May in Soapdodge city(Glasgow) ! Played the whole "Moving Pictures" album...! Had some awesome Grass to smoke for it ! Unbelievable ! It`s cool that they`re getting lots of exposure these days as the kids that were into them back in the day are in positions of power in the media now and they`re finally getting some of the recognition they deserve..! One of the greatest bands ever ! Peace Ye`All !!

  • @Noedig Geezer was Sabbath.

  • le metal de l'époque

  • Ozzy at 2:18, the look of a true Madman.

The greatest singer of all time hands down.

  • Why Can't We Invent A Time Machine And Go See Concerts Like This. You Might Think A Time Machine Is Impossible , but teenagers liking suckish pop was possible so a time machine really is more possible now.

  • this is the best song of black sabbath with ozzy

  • thanks to my old man for having LP of black sabbath and letting me hear them when I was like 7.

  • for me is one of the heaviest shows ever. period!

  • Don't stop the beat....*******

  • I'm so addicted to the raw power of these early Sabbath videos. I saw them twice in the 70s and they were just unreal. The entire concerts were like some crazy kind of rock-gasms. I walked around, pumped up for weeks after a Sabbath concert. Words cannot explain how F*cking hard they rocked! Nowadays, there are tons of heavy metal bands, with a similar or even much harder sound. But back then, there was really nothing like a Sabbath concert. As Jack Black might say, it was, "face melting" rock.

  • I really wish they would put this entire show out on DVD. It is essential Rock history viewing material. Epic. Bill Ward rules.

  • @BadAndyEd

    u've got definitly right

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • Hand of the Doom..

  • Comment removed

  • do they have this cincert on dvd?

  • I hate how a lot of people write this band as being some stupid, simple rock band with satanic lyrics. No one realizes that they were writing about the same things that everyone else was at the time, they were just such better writers, and their songs were so complex they couldn't take it.

  • @Eifler121 They were the fucking GODS OF METAL. There was no such thing as heavy metal before them. Zeppelin came out b4 them but they didnt have the sound they had, That evil sinister sound that shaped metal SABBATH TIll I REST

  • @ninjutsumaster7467 I don't like to think of them as metal. Mostly because all the other bands that have been called metal since are a joke and make terrible music. They invented it, yes, but they were they only ones who did it right.

  • Respond to this video... that baseline sends chills through my spine

  • @Eifler121 Fucking right dude! But they were not really writing about what everyone else was at the time ? Anyway..! They were always a bit more progressive than the naysayers think ! Some pretty complex compositions like you say ! Even on the early albums ! Peace Ye`All !!

  • @Eifler121 no its cuz they were heavier than anyone else at the time and people had no idea hwo to react to it but luckily some people figured out the proper response instead of being freaked out

  • this song is very relevant to what's going on today !!!!! Oxycontin .. vs heroin

  • awesome song

  • Geezer's bassline is just fucccckkkkkkin outrageous.....Lord of the Riff Tony & Geezer...What a combo... And bill... the most underrated drummer ever... And Ozzy in his prime, before he went on to become a shambling, bloated caricature of himself... Really in 1970 Sabbath could not be touched...

  • Other than acts like Tool and .... well, some other band I forgot, metal, true metal, today is virtually dead. How Green Day is metal, I don't really know. How Fall Out Boys is metal, I don't really know.

True, in the 70s, they would've been considered the heaviest bands ever, but today, it doesn't really work that way.

  • @TourettesSomething Green Day and Fallout Boy are definitely NOT metal...Who the fuck said that they are?...Well, whoever said that has definitely lost his marbles...

  • @Cryptorchild92 A bunch, no, a LOT of kids/emos who are trying to say "Hey, you stupid adults, we DO listen to metal, like Green Day! But unlike all those sucky screamo satan bands you like, OURS HAVE SOUL AND TALK ABOUT GOOD STUFF!!" .... <.<'

I'm actually mildly surprised you haven't heard some people say that.

  • @TourettesSomething Well that is strange....Haha... well i guess ive just been lucky no ones said it to me...anyways such people really suck... how can they say Black sab or maiden dont have soul... freakin emo fallout boy is blander than vanilla ice...haha.. anyway lets just fuck ass wipers and HAIL The SABS!!!...

  • @TourettesSomething Think about it: A lot of "old people" still hearing this since 1969!! Dont you think those people have heard enough rock to say "Well, this is the best I've known in my whole life", I mean, you need a lot more of experiences to critizice Black Sabbath with an strong and solid argument.

Pd: Green Day it's not even punk (and they think they are), how it gonna be metal?

  • @TourettesSomething Black Sabbath are an amazing band (mind you that is my opinion)... Without Sabbath a lot of bands you listen to probably wouldn't even be around

  • @TourettesSomething "it doesn't really work that way. ", but we still appreciate the good music, well-made riffs, lyrics that actually MEANS anything, well-executed instruments, and not just poor recordings that are "retouched"(totally changed)in studio.
