  • Pay up, Mortimer. I've won the bet.

  • I saw the opera of Marriage of Figaro last year in sf! Loved it and b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l orchestra just wow. I was amazed!

  • Must... finish.. coding... assignments, need to .. stop searching .. mozart ... on .. youtube

  • Too many notes.....Love it.:-)

  • This and Beethoven Symphony no 7 are my fav ^^

  • it's so hard to play! but sooooo much fun

  • mozart ... oh my mozart !

  • "Rachmaninoff..."

  • It is really beautiful music though :D xD

  • I have to play this full speed for my orchestra exam. I started playing a year ago in school. Fml.

  • The only one who disliked this vid was probably Salieri :D

  • @Taryna87 lol. or salarius as robert townsend would say.

  • mozart`s marriage of figaro, debussy`s clair de lune, and beethoven`s moonlight sonata, my 3 favorite songs, what the fuck happend to music, not to say that music is shit now, I still and always will love all music, but why did we give up artistic integrity and replace it with bland pop songs about alcohol and partying..... is it the money, the image, the corporations, I will never understand the backward evolution of humanity`s greatest creation

  • @TheEH3 corruption happened. there was a time where evolution pushed forward the greatest minds so that they could shine brightly upon the rest of mankind, but with time the people became less interested in that and more interested in mindless. fast-paced circus acts, such as Gaga, Beyonce, Beiber, Kanye, etc. because the most powerful geniuses know, to keep this idiotic population happy, you just need to give them bread and circuses. Stupid people are easier to exploit.

  • @stfwho so I guess we can blame KISS for the circus influence, but I really don`t believe that only stupid people are the ones who care about music, musicians practice throughout their lives to hone their art and yet the greatest composers of our time are hidden under the spotlight of branded artists, who basically promote music but add nothing to the inspirational creative process. When I hear Mozart, I think I can conquer the world, when I hear Bieber,I want to kill myself. Subliminal genocide

  • If u ever read Beaumarchais you can totally relate the upbeat tune in this to Figaro's deviant crafty attitude in the plays, he shakes society up! He brings people together! He keeps them apart! He brings justice to the inequality between the master and servant! (totally radical ideas of the time) This song reminds me of all the spinning and plotting he does to set people straight - as Figaro once said "2, 3, 4 threads at once- tangled & crossed into the bargain! I'm a courtier born."

  • Gah. I love this. I always listen to Classical music when I study, or do my homework(:

  • @evengefulsith it keeps me sane and even tempered when driving.

  • I'm a fan of Heavy Metal and Industrial music.

...But even I can say that this is simply one of the most beautiful examples of music we, as a species, have EVER made. Even my favorite genres will grow old with the times, and fade away. But not this.

    Long Live Mozart. C:

  • I had to study this for a Quiz in Music Class(6th Grade), thumbs up if you feel bad for me, I hate studying!

  • @nicholauscastillo0 I feel bad for you because if you hate studying you don't enjoy learning and must not know very much other than what they spoon fed you. Studying is great so enjoy it while it lasts. I hated it but now I miss it

  • @nicholauscastillo0 I wish I got to study Mozart.

  • "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...The Chocolate Room."

  • Wonderful masterpiece from Mozart, I love this song, Thanks For Posting this Marvelous Masterpiece! God Bless You! :-)

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu very good

  • I am confused. There are versions of this song by Mozart & Rossini. My understanding is that Mozart composed it, but how does Rossini also get credit for it? If anyone can enlighten me I would appreicate it. Thank You.

  • @mazz529

Figaro is a popular character in opera plays, it represents the changes in the behaviour of normal people towards aristocrats, after the enlightenment and the revolution.

The French playwright Pierre Beaumarchais wrote the trilogy of Figaro, "the guilty mother" being the less known.

Mozart wrote the music for the opera rendition of "le nozze di figaro" (libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte) in 1786 whilst Rossini wrote the "barbiere di siviglia" (libretto by Cesare Sterbini) in 1816.
