at the beginning he says that Telawa is something we seek to please Allah with (i.e. it is for Allah). The telawa (i.e. recitation) should come from the heart of the recitor, completely for Allah's sake, so that it goes to the heart of the listner so that he may benefit from it.

(as a side note, the ayahs he picks usually carry a beautiful idea or message in addition to his beautiful recitation).
