Stunt double for Jason Statham? That would be sweet! heh heh. ....but he's a pretty tough dude. The only stunts he doesn't do himself are probably pretty dangerous. :-P
When ever you can't see Jamies face, it's actually a stunt double, questions is...who's the stunt double? Give you a hint, he played the Frog in the first installment of the X-men movie. Darth Maul, and is featured in the Heroes series as the speedy knife man.
all these people are freakin out cause youre "dome" isn't gonna be a "dome" anymore. who cares!?! domes are kinda cool, but it looks like your new place is gonna be quite sweet
I'm pretty sure he bought a kit of some kind that has all the pieces and you just assemble it. I think it came with glass triangles or something? But he ended up just covering it.
Nope, not crazy. I am still not 100% sure, but I think if you look back through his other videos, he mentions something about it. I am pretty sure it is a structure he bought and assembled, not one he created. And there is nothing wrong with that, I mean, look at the banana building!
the dome wasn't a kit he bought. he got his hands on a lot of pipe, a pipe krimper, and a pipe whole punch. and MADE the intire thing himself. true though there is nuthing wrong with making something from a kit.
Ha ha. You're funny. The dome frame is made of 10' EMT (steel tubing). 7$ a piece at homo depot. I cut em, punched holes in em, and bolted em together. No kit, and no, the manufacturr didn't mean for the pipes to be structural.
Ah, sorry about that. I thought for sure somewhere you said it was a kit. But then, I have the flu and I am probably hallucinating... so don't mind me :P And I watched some of your videos a really long time ago.
I am not sure you ever gave a real explanation of how you built the dome, in any of your videos. Might have lead to my confusion :P.
I think you defeating the purpose of the whole Idea of the dome. You could have cemented the dome like the spring dome. But use paper crete
instead of concrete. the pieces would be lighter to lift up high. not to mention the R factor in insulation of the paper crete would be great too. with the money and time you put into that you could have done it. nice work anyway though.
I believe he wanted over-hang for the dome so snow/rain wouldn't sit right on top and on the sides of the dome. And the extra room is just there to be awesome and stuff.
im always waiting for a new video..keep it up! good to see sum1 building their own future...rather than working for a paycheck, thats taxed 2 times and taxed again when u buy something.
You seriously need a helmet cam.

Now that you mention it, Jamie could probably do a career in movies being a stunt double. He'd do a mean double for Jason Statham :)

JME is actually Jason Statham... He just retires, since they got his heart out =D

Now that the dome is becoming less dome like, won't you have to call it ... the silo instead?
13igAdam2040 2 years ago 3
You could store grain inside it! And season your own wood in it!

Excellent work Jaimie! Always enjoy the videos, but have never said so before now. Keep it up!

oh a Question for you, Those are fence top post's/poles you used for the structure of the dome right?

I believe he wanted over-hang for the dome so snow/rain wouldn't sit right on top and on the sides of the dome. And the extra room is just there to be awesome and stuff.
