There's no right or wrong strumming, listen to the song and go with it, Damien Rice does not play anything the same way twice, any easy strumming will be suitable as long as you respect the beat of the song!

Yeah, the pattern DDUUUD sounds fine if you play it without the record. But if you try to play along with the record or Damien's live performances, then it sounds off... so could Justin give us a better strum pattern??

Good lesson, the only thing that's missing is telling us how many bars of each chord in the chorus, because you don't actually play through it.

I guess it is easy to listen to the song and find out, but it would have been handy.
