  • I recall what you mean about Catholic leaders suggesting that we keep our pets inside, to protect against Satanic sacrifices during Halloween. As if sacrificing a demi-god Jew who then rose from the dead... wasn't crazy enough.

  • Halloween is nothing more than a Celtic tradition brought to America by Irish immigrants and them commercialised

  • CHEERS!

  • No not pumpkin, it is plumpkin!

  • This postcast sounds a lot better quality-wise, new mic ftw?

  • 3:30 I loved the last episode's topic

  • 1775 edde nobody cares last time i looked all the killers on death row are christian and all u are a bunch of hypocrites but then again half of u "god" worshippers are so brainwashed on fairytales u dont know the difference from schitzophrenia and ur common sense! thank u that is all :)

  • @TheThinkingAtheist Man, i am not an atheist, i consider myself to be a deist, but i really like the way you analyze all those stuffs, specially this video about halloween, very good!, and by the way, the catch phrases of this cast "Assume Nothing. Question Everything. Open your eyes, challenge the opposition and start thinking" are really awesome, and serves for free thinkers and deists as well!

  • Assume Nothing. Question Everything. Open your eyes, challenge the opposition and start thinking. (that was awesome)

  • those sick fucks...how dare they do those things to children...i happened to go into such a place and i was a tourist...i stomped out of there totally pissed off with what I saw and honestly I screamed "you are sick fucks" to their face...

  • A couple years ago, my mom was pregnant with my baby sister, so she dressed as a nun and my step-dad dressed as Jesus for Halloween. This year, they switched roles!

  • FIshers of Kids? Sounds like a group of pedophiles.

  • i got proud when he said guising in scotland <3

  • Hallowed evening, the Metaphysics of Mankind and our becoming. Hindus also believe in the struggle between Gods a Demons.

  • Do a Bible house that shows all the savagery of the hysterical Bronze age and point out all the viscous things that the bible says if perfectly moral.

  • I Shoulda Dressed As A Preist and told people i was a pedophile.

  • TTA, are you gonna do a radio podcast with TJ (The Amazing Atheist)?

  • The recipe for the biggest pie sounds like recipe for a giant bowl of chocolate salty balls to me

  • You are not that much of redneck accented to be honest. At some points your english accent is way better that G.W Pussy errrrrrr Bush, wich was a hell of a redneck.

  • I had to check up the origine of Pumpkin because I could not understand "Large Melon". ahahaha... :p I'm impressed by your french, Seth.

  • You forgot to mention FRIGHTFACTORY in philadelphia

  • /watch?v=TXxfIktv8RQ

    for the "hell house" trailer

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus ok big man if you claim to know everything how is chewing tobacco made and by whom?

  • I'll say, I'm a Christian, but I really enjoyed this video. It told the facts of it's history clean, straight-forward, and without all the dogma. It was so annoying trying to find a history video without having to filter through half an hour of "Why Halloween is Bad". Plus, some of the Christian video's had totally bogus information. I saw these two guys I just had to quit listening to when they pronounced "Celts" as "Selts". Morons!

  • I love the way these athiests pretend they are so rebel and revolutionary. it sounds to me like they are trying to sell to people their idea, and challenge other people's ideas (note the begining of this intro) and have a radio show dedicated to their idea. sound familiar?

  • I went and checked out that Hellhouse website. Not being from America i had no idea that kind of thing existed. Frankly i think it's sickening that they resort to such neasures to try and convert people to their lie.

The fact that that's the way they go about it only proves theyre desperate.

  • Halloween has always been my favorite Holiday. Too bad there are no kids in my neighborhood... makes it kinda pointless to decorate your house. Now, I just enjoy dressing up at the office and serving pumpkin soup in cute-looking ceramic jack-o-lanterns. (Oh, and watching gory zombie movies!)

  • So basically according to this presenter's point of view..pretend that there's no shit going on in the world worth caring about for one day and then wake up to the real world the next? What kind of warped reasoning is this? Its like drinking to drown your sorrows only to wake up wit a hangover!! WAKE UP YOU BRAIN DEAD ZOMBIES!!

  • @erroer1 you should realy go to a psychiatrist.

  • @erroer1 My god you are such a pessimist. So are you you saying that nobody in the world sould have any fun because someone else is dying somewhere in the world?

  • I am puzzled as to why anyone would get excited about this one day!! Children are dying in Palestine and all people are wanking on about is what costume they'll spend money on this year!! No wonder we are where we are now..all y'all are just too brain dead..

  • I need this, too much epic meal time and ray william johnson, stuff like that tends to dull the mind.

  • Seven more days 'till Halloween, Silver Shamrock!

  • Celebrate Halloween the lords (pagan) way, just like Christmas!

  • Most people don't believe in God simply because they can't see Him.

However, when the wind blows trees and they sway side to side, you can't see air can you? But, you know the trees sway side to side by air creating wind and wind moves in all sorts of directions.

God, eventhough you can't see Him (yet), still exists rather anyone believes Him or not. His glory and His awesome creation is all around you.

  • @lonewolf7999 Air

    1. We can see the effect air has.

    2. We can perform chemical analysis to see what the air contains and in what quantities.

    3. We can measure the force (pressure) exerted by the air.

    4. We can and have formed predictive models for air and its effects on our environment. These tested positively

    5. We CAN see air by reducing its temperature.

    God.

    1. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Well, we have this old book...............

  • @lonewolf7999 With wind, we feel and see the effects, and understand the underlying physics behind it, so it is easy to believe in wind. How does one evaluate the proposition that "His glory and His awesome creation is all around you"? It isn't exactly testable in the same way that the physics of wind is.

  • @lonewolf7999 This may come as news to you, but science and rationality don't rely purely and only upon our human sense of sight.

  • @GermanChocolateCake Not here to argue and start anything.

We have a creator, He is almighty God. If you say that God didn't create anything and everyone; then it's like saying Ford didn't make the Mustang or Chevrolet didn't make the Camero. You see a Mustand driving down the road and you right away say "Ford made that" or a Camero driving around, you say "Chevrolet made that" or do you say "that driving hunk of steel has no maker and it just popped into exisistence"

  • Comment removed

  • @lonewolf7999 Well don't argue then?!

  • @lonewolf7999 who created the creator? so its wrong and crazy to believe the chance the big bang just happened but its not crazy to believe that god just came to be and controls all

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde So it's easier for you to believe in some all knowing, all seing power that has always existed?

    Okay then.......

  • @1775edde

I find hard to believe in god.

1- doesn't have enough 'evidence' that he even exists.

2- it is stupid to think that the universe was created by some floating being in the middle of nothing, cause I've never seen god making random universes all over again.

  • @1775edde While a man falling 47 stories seems like one of god's miracles, you can't automatically assume this as fact. You are just as likely to survive a 1 story fall as a 47 story if you can avoid landing on your pelvis or skull. If your fall is long enough, you have more time to maneuver your body in such a way that you can avoid landing on your pelvis and skull. The extra wind resistance slowed the descent and reduced the force of the impact. One of God's acts? Pft. Try physics.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde Depends,You have to factor in all the variables, did he fall on dirt?,Grass?,Stone? BTW:Google Alan Magee who survived a 22,000-foot fall from his aircraft in WWII.

22,000 ft is 2031stories btw. Miracles are for the ignorant who can't fathom a natural explaination.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde Stop it wasn't gods act,Ideally you'd want to get into a fetal posistion to minimize damage and aim for soft dirt,Miracles are as I said the ignorant religious mans go to reason for things he doesn't understand. And you gave me another example of how easily you people ignore mathamatical odds and substitute in your magic sky daddy.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde Umad bro? Troll spotted good day,Exposed yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde It isn't you have deliberately ignore three times now me explaining that survival is based on a number of X factors,I gave an example which of course you ignored and chalked up to god,Please take the blinders off.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde Easy:

    1:Weather

    2:Height

    3:Weight of subject falling

    4:Ground Conditions

5:Area of impact taken on body.

As for the gentleman you refer to his survival I'd have to ask you for a link to the specific example.

Your turn, Give me five non bible/non annecdotal/non debatable miracles definiative irrefutable points of evidence for god.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde For those curious,I continue to not receive any irrefutable evidence for god from edde

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde Biomechanical injury tolerance levels: Throat- 300 lbs of force Frontal bone ( forehaed)- 1900 lbs Back of head ( occiptal)- 2100 lbs Temporal - 1400 lbs Zygomatic-800 lbs mandible - 800 lbs maxilla - 500 lbs Lat. Maxilla - 700 lbs "nasal bone"- 200 lbs Cervical vertebra - 500 lbs Crown of head - 1350 lbs area above the ear - 650 lbs sternum with 4" defelction ( penetration) - 960 lbs ribs - 400 lbs ( 1-3 ribs are the hardest, 4-9 the most common to fracture) Knots are sea measurments
  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde Sent you a link and message. Did he land on his crevical vertebra? I don't remember that being reported.

  • Comment removed

  • @1775edde you would hit everywhere...unless of course your holding onto said scaffolding(most likely crouched posistion) then the impact is the legs and hips.

any comment on his survival hinging on modern medicine?

  • @1775edde, coincidence does not institute existance. If god performed miracles, they would be measurable. And since god supposedly does a lot of miracles, there should be a very large ammount of measurable evidence. Show me that evidence, and I will consider your argument further.

  • @Cinehancer What do you mean by measurable evidence?? you want me to show you more videos, articles, etc... like the one I posted above??

  • @1775edde, articles and videos are barely proof. Peoples personal experience is NOT impressive.I want actual data on your claims. Not "That guy should have died!" "Did you see that? Concrete!" There is most likely a perfect physical explination as to why people survive these types of incidents, and even if it was magical or "spiritual". What proof do you have that god is the one who does it or in the first place does it at all?

  • @Cinehancer Well.

I can't use the bible as evidence, I can't use personal experience, I can't use videos of his acts.

    My hands are tied.

The Best I can do is to tell you to seek God, believe in him, and he shall show you his presence. most likely indirectly. And the you will have personal experience.

    Those who seek, find.

  • @1775edde, for one, you don't know that he is doing any acts in the first place. You have no evidence whatsoever, all you have is belief. If your claims are true, they are measurable. If god saved people from death and healed people, it would HAVE to be measurable and make physics completely wrong. Belief/personal experience/bible isn't proof in this case. So I hope you someday read the bible with a logical mind, look for evidence, and intelligence shall show itself to you. Those who seek, find.

  • @lonewolf7999 Key difference being we can prove Henry Ford and Louis Chevrolet existed. Not so for gods.

  • @lonewolf7999 You can test air,and feel it neither of which apply to god.

  • my exams are on November 1st... i guess that works

  • I love how, when talking about Hell Houses, they're described as "depicting horrors found in the real world...like demons" xD

And isn't Lindsey Lohan a sort of combination of the circus freak and the crash-test dummy?

  • I am dressing as a Priest!

  • I've actually kind of wanted to visit the creationist museum, just to see the fossil specimens they have. But- and this is a big but- I will have my headphones on with either hard rock/metal music, or something like your show.

By the way, thank you for this, the museum I am working at is doing a Fall Festivals week this week and now I am a bit better prepared for the inevitable "this is the devils day" comments.

  • I'm passing out candy as Freddy Kruger. :D

  • Funny. I was raised opposite (no religion). I (as well as the rest of my family) are now Catholic. We find nothing wrong with Halloween or with people dressing up as lost souls or horrific things.. So for me this Halloween, nothing has changed other than the reality of what Halloween really is, a prelude to All Saint's Day. You overthink things, just as I used to. It will become exhausting for you sooner or later. Smile!

  • Great podcast! I'm gonna be doing essentially the same thing, only shorter, and in costume, for Apartment J Entertainment's Atheist News & later on my own Atheist Asshole dot com.

  • In Gaul the corresponding words for these seasons were Samon (end of summer) and Giamon (end of winter). Just to let you all know...

  • If anyone is wondering, the Hell House movie is available on instant stream on netflix.

  • And I believe you, there are no devil worshipers in the establishment, they all believe in the Darwin religion.

  • @PeekyBooo ALL HAIL DARWIN!

  • @PeekyBooo Atheists don't believe in the devil either. Duh.

  • @AvonFoxglove Yeah I agree I'm talking about the managers that control the hordes of atheists(robots).

  • @PeekyBooo

I prayer to Darwin for a new Car and I got one. WOW must be proof. Well... tha and salary sacrifice.

  • Who is the Devil, I have read in a myth book he is the deciever and a false prophet who predicts things that don't happen. Like this Jesus fellow, you know the one who is name was acctually Joshua. He was also 800 years to late and not nammed emanuel. What a Devil, huh.

  • Atheists are so pompous and ignorant.

  • @PeekyBooo

It's ignorant to say that every member of a certain group is ignorant.

  • ...did the audio quality improved or i'm having a rapture moment ?

  • You mentioned The Phantom and Christine. I love you.

Everything that Catholics change is appalling, ugh.

  • No homo but...that voice...its like candy to my ears @_@

  • my socks smell like cherrys somehow..

  • your voice, much like Mufasa's, is eargasmic.

  • @Br4nd0nH776 I know right O.O

  • You guys are my heroes.

  • @rom116rom "I find your surprise at being allowed to exist in a Universe in which you're allowed to exist astounding." - Th1swasatriumph

  • Sexy voice :3

  • when does this go live every week? i MUST watch it live <3

  • It amuses me how religious people weren't allowed to dress up as anything blood-related such as vampires when Christians symbolically drink the blood of their saviour during Masses.

  • Catwoman suits <- Me approves

  • Don't waste your time with the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Went to their "Dark Harbor" Halloween thing last weekend and waited 4 hours to get into 2 of the 7 or so mazes, which were basically filled with college students wearing zombie make-up. Total waste of time. Also did their ghost tour a couple years ago, which was a really expensive way to get cheap laughs. The ship itself and it's history is very cool and interesting, so do go there but don't waste your time with the gimmicky tours

  • This world as searched for it. People claimed it wasn't true, but I found it. Want to see the real Garden of Eden? Want to finally know if God is real or not? If you are a product of evolution or a creation of God? Look at my videos and subscribe! Tell the world what you found this day! Tell them God is real, that the Father is alive and true! Come look world... see the Garden of Eden and MORE!

  • Mhmhm, us Celts were among the most vicious and heinous people in history :P But BY GOD we knew how to party xD History in Europe goes like this; You see blue eyed and very hairy people? RUN AWAY!

Btw, I am celtish o: my family have been Welsh for...erm...yeah, thousands of years xD Wales is part of the UK; it's that western bit that looks like a man reaching out to sea. It's part of the main land, not Ireland.

  • @LichQueenKathie Your boys should have whipped the French in the Rugby World Cup.

"Lich Queen huh? "Light be with you" LOL

  • @warren52nz They're not "My boys" xD You should do a search for the Mitchel and Webb football sketch, which explains my sentiments about fans extensively :P

Do not blame me for my nickname, it's my friends who gave it me -.- It may be something to do with the fact that I used to fangirl Arthas...

  • @LichQueenKathie Well that made me LOL for real !!! 8^D

  • @warren52nz Yeah, it's true o: And the weirdest bit is, I'd never date Arthas xD he's a sociopath and a fiend...and the fact I'm les :P

  • @LichQueenKathie LOL, there are plenty of WoW babes in the game for you to drool over. Gay is cool here, New Zealand is very liberal. Prostitution is legal and so is same sex marriage. i don't know what the big fuss is all about with Americans and homosexuality. It's nobody's business who you love as long as both are consenting adults!

So much for religious tolerance and freedom. They talk the talk but they don't walk the walk.

  • @warren52nz Yup, freedom is a strange concept to the Americans. They like to chat about freedom but in actual fact, Europe (and NZ too apparently o.o) is much more liberal. Americans have somehow convinced themselves that "liberal", which is another word for free, is horrible despite loving freedom xD

It's enough to make a cat laugh o3o

I already got a gf o: Doesn't stop me drooling, but I usually got a pang of self-reproach when I do it :3

  • @LichQueenKathie "Doesn't stop me drooling"

    Yeah I'm just a lesbian trapped in a man's body 8^D

  • @warren52nz lulz, I know someone like that xD She's cute when you let her dress up as she wants o: Hell, if she's a guy then I'm straight...Nah, she's a girl through and through o3o

Kathie is respectful towards everyone...until they make her mad o:

  • @LichQueenKathie I'll try not to make you mad then. 8^)

  • @warren52nz You best not :P

  • Jack Skellington pumpkin ftw

  • ~Amen to that!

  • I'm surprised they haven't stole Halloween like how they stole Christmas. /stare

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus

Say hi to the talking snake for me

  • I went to Catholic Parochial School all my life from 1st to High school. Every year the school would put together a classic haunted house - it was not a "hell house". It was ghosts, zombies, and scary deranged people. Even the nuns running the school would get in on the fun. That was the point - no one took it seriously - it was scary "dracula", "frankenstein" themes. It was a great time. I learned so much about set design, scripts, and working together. Great fun.

  • Funny that some Christians avoid Halloween as an evil or Pagan celebration, seeing as how the bible contains a passage that specifically discourages putting up and decorating a Christmas tree because it was done by "heathens", another word for Pagans.

    See Jeremiah 10:2-4

  • ᵢ ᶭᵢᶦᶦ ᶰᶞᶭ ᵏᵢᶦᶦ ᵐᵧ ᶧᶛᵓ

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus Haha! You think religion is necessary for morality. Also, an atheist is incapable of hating god, because that would require him to actually exist. As an atheist, I can honestly say it is not hatred of god, but hatred of the idea of the christian god. I don't hate cristians unless they act silly and ignorant like you. :)

  • 22:42 "predatory snakes"

I guess herbivorous snakes just wouldn't be as scary.

  • why'd you mention circus freak twice?

  • Pumpkins are eaten in Australia as a normal vegatable...right beside potatoes and carrots, however the breed of pumpkin differs to what is popular in America..(they taste like sweet potatoes when cooked)

  • @Cougar139tweak

That's because in America we breed most pumpkins for size, and not flavor.

  • @Cougar139tweak We make pumpkin pie here, and it tastes somewhat like sweet potatoe pie. Pumpkin is also used in cookies, breads, etc, but typically only during winter holidays.

  • @SkeksisRule Yeah I know I'm an American myself, just presently live in Australia - An atheists dream - except no Halloween :( ( miss seeing kids in dress up and having a blast ) as well as mooching off their candy

  • @Cougar139tweak New Zealand's like that too. You're more likely to get rolling eyes if you say you're religious than if you say you're an Atheist. 8^)

  • @warren52nz That depends which part of NZ you're from. NZ seems to be a lot more secular than many other places in the world however.

  • @themongru "That depends which part of NZ you're from"

    I'm from the intelligent part.

    8^D

  • @warren52nz Haha, well I'm just glad that NZ isn't like America to be honest.

  • @themongru Seriously! Have you ever got one of those trash emails with a popup that says "Do you want to live in the USA?"

And click "NO!" and then it goes to the website that shows you how to become a citizen. It's like they can't imagine anyone not wanting to live there!

It's a gun-totin', evangelistic, violent, self-righteous, greedy, fat, lazy place with beggars all over the place abandoned after being drafted into unjust wars and then left to rot on the streets.

    NO THANKS!!!

  • @warren52nz

I'm American and even I click No on those emails. I click it, and I click it well. I feel like an idiot just by saying that I'm American. My country is like one big and ever-lasting facepalm.

  • @Randomusername244 "My country is like one big and ever-lasting facepalm."

I'm critical of the US but I hope it will turn out alright because it looks like China is positioned to take over and for all it's bad points, at least the US has decent human rights.

I won't be surprised if China makes it to Mars first, they can afford it and no one else can.

We're watching China train its kids in the latest scientific developments and Americans are teaching their children Evolution is a lie! *sheesh*

  • @warren52nz Being an ex war veteran agnostic i know the feeling. Its even worse being black and not believing in GOD your seen as a poison to your own race. Oh and im gay also so that just adds another notch of bullshit.

  • @gravekeepersven I've noticed that African Americans tend to be Christian for reasons that aren't clear but I can understand your plight.

I find it ironic that America preaches freedom and Christianity preaches tolerance yet that's not how they behave at all.

Compare it to New Zealand (a mostly Atheist country).

Here, you could marry your partner and no one would even blink if you said you were Gay. And prostitution is legal too. We even had a transsexual Member of Parliament and a Rastafarian!!

  • @warren52nz I am definably moving to New Zealand! :D

  • @AcousticHustler Imagine a place where the cops don't even carry guns!!! And South Pacific beaches with no people on them.

And the number 1 Rugby team in the world if we beat France on Sunday! 8^)

  • @warren52nz What do you mean IF we beat france? Smarten up!!

  • @wondergundy "What do you mean IF we beat france? Smarten up!!"

Hahaha, well odds are in our favour that's for sure!

  • @warren52nz Surely you meant... WHEN you beat France. HAH

  • @wondergundy Superstitious people around me would probably punch me if I jinxed the game by being too confident but yeah, all will be revealed in about 12 hours! I suspect there will be a few parties around here!!!

    8^D

  • @warren52nz Silly black people obessed with Jesus. Its really pathetic here.

  • @gravekeepersven white ppl too!

  • @gravekeepersven

Your kidding 'poison to your own race" from a way of thinking that by its nature is mental enslavement and physically supported and justified Salvery. As well it engauged in the repression of blacks as second class people and even taught black was Gods curse.

Are you still agnostic not that it matters it is aa small jump from that to atheist, just a matter of evidence really.

Not the lack of it for a God but the pile against it.

  • @VideoAudioDisco09 I wish i was lying but im not. Ive grown up in ghetto and believe you me not beleving in god and being black is seen as you being influenced by the devils influence and many preachers will attempt to cure you wilth the bible and the passages theirn. Because i dont believe really in the zombie jesus my mom has decided to turn her back on me for not only that and being gay to boot too. I was religiously indoctrinated from a kid to love jesus hate the homosexual or burn in hell.

  • @gravekeepersven Damn a black gay atheist. You're like the minority unicorn! Much love though.

  • @gravekeepersven

I am sorry to hear about your mums attitude but this is unfortunatly a good exsample of what they say and profess verus what they do. It also displays the mental enslavement and willingness to do what is wrong ethically yet justified by thier church without the use of thinking.

They use Romans 1:24-32 to justify anti gay but that is OT Jesus said nothing about it.

Here is the catch and trap they fall into -

  • @gravekeepersven

The OT also supports, Rape, Murder, Slavery and forced marriage as with many moral evils.

When one raises this suported by Jesus saying "I have not come to change the law" they argue that it did change with Jesus to get out of it. This of course means "Love thy neighbor. sinner ect" ends up in circles.

Being Gay is who you are, so be it. 1 more spare chick for me, maybe 2, :)

Have a read of evil bible dot com, it is a old but covers a lot of the nonsence well.

  • @themongru Of course I'm talking about averages here. I know lots of nice Americans.

    8^)

  • @themongru I think I'm being a bit harsh on Americans. But I don' know if I'll ever get over going to San Francisco and seeing all the limbless veterans all over the place begging for money or food. I asked someone where the public toilets were and they pointed to them and added "You'll need a credit card to get in... it doesn't cost anything but it keeps the homeless out".

So I guess the homeless shit on the street!

I expect better from a country that thinks they're number one in the world!!!

  • maybe you should record your side of the audio pickup and then overlay it on the blog talk recording when you post podcasts

  • Seth-

Please please PLEASE keep the audio quality as awesome as this all the time. Your voice is completely different in good quality like or your FreeOK speech versus your podcasts.

  • yeah...first 5 minutes of 'hell house' i dont' want to live on this planet anymore.

  • 'you can call them judgment house, satan house..'

    how about nut house?

  • YES! thank you!

  • Why is this just 30 min and without calls? It's just a preparation for the next show? What's up?

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus i don't want to be in your heaven, i'd have to kiss god's ass 24/7.

  • 18:20 is still goin on with the church

  • hearing celtic history form an american is pretty wierd
